I walked in with a tooth causing me excruciating pain, hoping for relief. I specifically requested sedation for the extraction due to a traumatic past experience with my wisdom teeth. Instead, I was told I had to wait nine days to see Dr. Jason. When I returned, I faced yet another obstacle: a $175 consultation fee just to be seen again, meaning another seven days of agony. Frustrated and in unbearable pain, I decided to go through with the extraction without sedation. What followed was a nightmare. The pain was indescribable as Dr. Jason struggled with my tooth, breaking it in the process. I was screaming in agony, and two young girls in the waiting room even told their dad, "No way!" and left. I had to take 45-minute breaks just to catch my breath, while the staff had the audacity to yell at me to be quiet! I arrived for my 9:45 AM appointment and didn't leave until after 3 PM--all for one molar. It's clear this place prioritizes money over patient care and is full of liars. Now, when their commercial comes on TV, I relive that horrific experience, and my heart races with anxiety. Do yourself a favor and find a different dentist. When I realized that the practice we've been going to is actually out of network with my new insurance, I decided to change to an in-network practice, for both routine dental care and this extraction. I contacted Corning Bright and they made an appt for Friday of the same week, indicating they'd need to do a cleaning and x-rays before scheduling the extraction. "Great service" I thought! "Quick turnaround time". This morning, I got another meeting dropped on my calendar at work, so I replied to Bright's email reminder and told them I'd need to reschedule this afternoon's cleaning. I was informed that their policy is that they do not reschedule new patient appointments and I would need to "find another provider". Seriously? I had some doubts based on a coupe of comments I'd seen online, and I chose to ignore them. Now, I feel like I really dodged a bullet. I understand that dentistry is a business, like everything else you pay for, but a little grace and forbearance goes a long way, especially in a field where patients are often a little nervous and apprehensive to begin with. Thank you Bright Dentistry for saving me from what was probably going to be something I regretted. I will happily "find another provider".

Dr. Brown has been knowledgeable and we are always at ease knowing we are in good hands. This morning I had to call the emergency line as the bottom wire of my son's braces had shifted and was poking into his gum. Dr. Brown's office returned my call quickly and said we could come in to get it checked out (I was only calling for advice to help since we couldn't get wax on it). Vicky met us at the office and you wouldn't have even known we dragged her out on a Saturday morning. She was kind, patient and was able to fix out problem in no time flat. Finger Lakes Orthodontics has been treating my granddaughter, aged 14, for 2 years. In December of…read more2017,​ she removed the wires on mygranddaughter's​s braces and said her gums were in poor condition so until her brushing improved - no wires. So we got an electric toothbrush, water pick, went to a hygienist​ and overall... did all we good to improve her slovenly​ ways. The hygienist assured us her gums and tissues were excellent and while this was only a "snapshot in time" rather than an overall assessment of how well or not she cared for her teeth....at that time - her brushing and care was excellent. We went back to the orthodontist monthly - in April she threatened again to remove the brackets entirely and in June we have a type of falling out because she insisted on removing them and I insisted, since I had paid nearly $6000 to have this child's teeth straightened - and 2 1/2 years of my life and her's... that she wasn't going to remove them. She promised to return the money and remove the brackets but two months later - 6 months of no care ... she has yet to do either! I am writing to her board of peers, have notified by of our insurance companies who are expecting refunds as well, and overall - believe she falls into the fraudulent charges for negligent services category. She couldn't believe that I would want a refund. She claims to have removed braces from other children and no parent was "this" upset...? why? Who would pay this kind of money for a service NOT provided? Why would she agree to remove the remaining brackets and refund the money then cease to communicate with us? Moremi... is her name... avoid ...this ....office! Unless you have a very diligent child.
