This place is ridiculous, when you come through the emergency doors of a hospital u expect to be…read moretalking to someone to in maybe 2 minutes. We were 2nd in line and we stood there for 12 mins because the person in front of us complained about having a temperature of 100°. Oh and let me stop you before you get the wrong idea. That was it nothing else she looked fine. It took us only 2 minutes before she told us to go to the waiting room. The wait for us to get a room wasn't too bad. But the room and the service is something I wouldn't push on the Devil himself. After they had my mom put on the gown she asked for a 2nd blanket. After 45 minutes of waiting I went to the desk to ask for one. All I got was a snarky remark about her forgetting about it, though this time we actually got one. Though that came with another snarky remark as if to say it was our fault for it. Still it matters not, because it would take another 40 minutes or so for them to take a couple more of her vitals from the nurse practitioner.

I went to this hospital when I finally got good enough insurance for them to accept me for a septum…read morereconstruction. This was quite a stretch for me and a tough financial decision as I still ended up paying close to 3000 out of pocket. I had been looking forward to receiving this surgery for almost a decade. The staff was very polite and very accomodating HOWEVER about a week after dealing with a face full of blood (a side effect I had been warned about during the healing process) I noticed that I still was unable to breathe properly. I consulted with my doctor and informed him that my septum also still felt deviated, possibly even more so than before. That's when I was told that I had not had it straightened but instead had my turbinates trimmed to reduce swelling in my sinuses. Great. But that's not what I paid essentially almost 8,000.00 for. That's the equivalent of paying for your lawn to be mowed and receiving a hedge trimming and still being charged for it. It's essentially theft in my opinion but I'm sure the medical team and possibly the legal system would disagree. Unfortunately I'm left with severe brain freeze when eating chilled foods, recurring allergy symptoms that I thought had been left in my teen years, and reappearing instances of sleep apnea which I also thought were a thing of the past. This is only the second review I've ever written in my entire life and I only do so when I feel that me not writing one might be a detriment to someone elses well-being or safety. I would love to be reevaluated and possibly have the surgery I paid for actually done but I doubt that will happen. Dylan

Took my wife to this so called Walk In Clinic and saw people coming in after us getting…read moreserved/treated first. Was told they made an appointment so they get priority treatment. This is suppose to be a walk in clinic - first come first served but not at Guthrie in Corning. Whe my wife finally did get to see someone it ws an NP who did nothing but told my wife to see her primary care giver - we sat in the place for an hour to be told that!!!! We would have been better of going to the Guthrie Hospital ER for faster better, more caring treatment. Frankly, if you have a choice of going to this wlak in joint or a vet - go to the Vet!

I had 2 terrible experiences with Olena Czabala at Guthrie Medical. I was searching for new "dr" (…read morewhich I wouldn't qualify her as) and she started off by waltzing in FORTY FIVE minutes late. In the examination room. Not the waiting room! This is highly unusual but nope- not an explanation.. just tick tacking away . She then proceeds to question two of my prescriptions I've been on by TWO prior drs prior to my move up here AND by my therapist. The third annual script was later canceled from sending to Rite Aid. No call later on to why. I had to call her 15 days later only for front desk to tell me it was due to high blood pressure.. hmm I find it very odd ( but familiar) that these young ' professionals' these days are more interested covering their own behinds vs offering quality and compassionate care for patient who is at their mercy!! So now I am out of my medicine that should be stepped down on vs immediately not taking!! You think they would care about this?! She is a nightmare.. even the 2nd visit. Same story! Not even to give me a smaller supply so I can SAFELY step down off of! She was more concerned that she didn't initially prescribe this! These people are a hazard to medical society! People do not settle for these 'new state of the art ways to do medical treatment ". Find yourself a seasoned PROFESSIONAL who cares about their patients! Not looking to book you every two weeks. 2 visits with no results but for insurance co to pay out $156 per visit - DISGRACE!!
