He was super friendly and patient with me as well. I really appreciated his relaxed, friendly attitude. Something you don't find too often in this scene. Their prices are a little high, but I think the employees make it worth it. I'll be back to use their range, and post an update if there are any issues. He made the material interesting by sharing real-life experiences from both his students and his own life. He also has a great sense of humor, which made the long weekend enjoyable. Thomas thoroughly prepared us with the knowledge necessary to legally conceal and carry in Illinois. He did an excellent job getting us ready for the shooting qualification, including proper holster draws and safe firearm handling. I hadn't shot a firearm in years, and my wife had never shot one before -- yet we both passed. As long as you follow directions and prioritize safety at both the range and in the classroom, anyone can succeed. I researched multiple concealed carry classes in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and Alpha Koncepts was by far the highest rated. Thomas has been teaching concealed carry classes since it became legal in Illinois, and his experience shows. But all my worries were put to rest the day of delivery. I received a text that they received my shipment, and informed me of their hours of operation for transfers. Park in back in the north lot opposite Central as that's their own lot. Walk around to the front door on Central and ring their doorbell. The paperwork was quick and easy, and she clearly pointed out everything I had to fill out. Background check only took a few seconds. I was in and out with my package in 10 minutes. $30 per transfer and your 7th one is free. As for the training, etc. I cannot comment. If/when I take any classes, I will update.
