She was always reachable and prompt with getting back to me, which is very important to me and very good in a realtor. She was able to find me the perfect places that weren't on Zillow or anywhere online. She also has a law degree which is a plus for me and I think makes her knowledgeable and smart. Even after I moved in, she has kept in touch, making sure I had a go-to person for advice and referrals in the community. I found a great eye doctor and a Vet through her. She is very down to earth, nice and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend her. She listens and understand what the client needs. Ann is a real gem!

5 Stars for Catherine are just not enough. No amount of stars could do justice to Catherine's…read morework. We have tried to sell our home 3 times, and had the misfortune of picking the worst agents we could have possible picked. One of them happened to be an agent we previously used who wasn't too bad but still couldn't get the job done. The approach most agents take is "list it and forget it", they let the MLS do all the work. They say they invest a lot in your property upfront, but you can tell by the pictures, staging, brochures and flow of buyers walking in, how much time and money they have invested in your property, if any at all. I had always seen signs for Catherine near our house on the border of Brea and Fullerton, not sure why I never called her first. Finally I called her, and from the very first visit I knew she was going to be the one who will sell our house. It's the aura she had, she projected confidence and not the kind projected by used car salesman, but a deep genuine confidence. She was so excited to see our bathroom renovations that I was taken back by it, almost couldn't believe that she never seen bathroom as gorgeous as ours. I loved how well she communicated along with a motherly concern and guiding approach. The connection I felt with her on the first meeting, that I signed her on immediately and I wasn't even planning on it. I just thought I would meet her and think about it, because I had heard plenty of car sales pitches, except for homes. What did Catherine do for us, besides sell our home. She immediately brought a huge team, where everyone walked through our home, got ideas, asked me all the features of the home, which none of the previous agent ever took time to do. Brought in a stager, brain stormed ideas, and got to know our house. Gave us instructions on what we needed to do to help the stagers. Once the staging was done, she brought in wonderful photographer, we had discussed exactly how i wanted the photos to look, we went through all her previous work and pointed out which photos I liked and what I didn't like. Between the photography and staging they produced such great pictures of our house, even we thought it was unreal. Almost thought of not selling it. Catherine's team produced gorgeous brochure which we had not seen from any agents before. We kept that brochure as art work and show it to friends and family all the time. She scheduled a realtors open house, followed by public open house. Well we never even got to the public open house, some how we had multiple buyers who had sneaked in to the realtor's open house with their realtors. Immediately after the realtor's open house we got amazing feedback from the realtors and multiple offers. Now that's magic, I honestly don't know what she did or how she did it. I know all the things she did right, but my gut tells me she probably did so much more that what I saw on surface. Because to get so many buyers show up like that and get multiple offers before even public got to see the house it unbelievable. Every Real Estate transaction from now on will always be with Catherine Houston. I loved working with her and Lynn. It's sad that our house is sold and I don't get to interact with Catherine and Lynn like I did during our transaction. Their knowledge and advice was so sound, grounded, clean and honest. Based on her action and outcome, I can tell she was honestly on my side, as opposed to other Realtors who say they are on your side but really aren't. For anyone reading this review, I can't imagine picking another agent besides Catherine. Trust me when you can't sell your house, you will call her, if anyone who can get it done and get you the most it's Catherine. Thank you Catherine for everything you did, from the bottom of my heart.

I've worked with Catherine on three transactions now. She helped us find and buy our first home…read more This was in 2013. At the time, things were very competitive in our area. We had friends who'd put in offers on 10, 15, 20 homes without going to contract. So we were very pessimistic about the process. Catherine found us the perfect home and helped us put together an offer that was accepted right away. We even beat out 2 other offers from all-cash buyers. This was completely due to Catherine's personal touch and her ability to build quick rapport with the sellers. They were there when we went to tour the house, so we had a chance to meet them. When she presented the offer, she did it in person and walked away with a signature. It turns out that the seller's agent was a total novice. If it weren't for Catherine stepping in and managing the whole escrow, inspection, termite, and repairs process we might not have closed on time. I really appreciated having a professional as experienced as Catherine on my side. When we outgrew our first house and decided to move, Catherine represented us on the sale of our previous house and the purchase of our new one. Again, we beat out 2 other offers on the new house. We really had fallen in love with it but found ourselves in a bidding war. Catherine is an incredible negotiator. I prefer doing business in a "no-nonsense" manner. I don't want someone to sell me promises. I'm looking for someone who will tell me the truth, even if it's bad news, and lay out my best options. Catherine got it done when it looked like it wasn't going to happen. She also handled the sale of our previous house. We got the price we wanted and the whole process was incredibly smooth. I felt a great deal of comfort working with her because she clearly understood our wants and needs, as well as our taste and preferred style of conducting business. She was very responsive to us--we texted constantly, met face-to-face, spent time on the phone, and emailed to get our transactions done. Listen, getting the best price is hard. We all want a deal. But we live in Southern California. In one of the hottest real estate markets in the country. I've known a lot of realtors and I've heard a lot of spiels about getting me the best price. The truth is that the market is the market. Unless you are an all-cash buyer, there's not a lot you can do when it's competitive out there. I like working with Catherine because she's a realist. She doesn't sugarcoat the deals. She works hard to get me the best price and gives me her best advice about our options. One thing to consider: a huge part of this process is how your agent works with your lender. That can make or break how smoothly your transaction goes. Catherine was in constant communication with my lender throughout both purchases. She keep my deal going and ensured that they would close on time. At the end of the day, people prefer to do business with people that they like. And I like Catherine. I trust her. She cares about me and my family. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

This was a Trust sale between siblings and not an easy task for her as we weren't often aligned in agreement, being brother and sister. You've heard about stories between siblings after the passing of a loved one? Well, that was US! Despite any civil rivalry, Ivonne remained professional, honest, and sincere in her approach and showed a lot of compassion not only for us as the Sellers but for the buyers and their agent. She not only went above and beyond, she and her husband Steven came in support of helping us clean the house and keep us civil, she kept us on point paving the way so that the house was on the market in time to show for open house. Both her and her husband Steven had 2 weekends of open houses during 100+ heatwave, prequaliying potential buyers that came through. Both her and her husband were so kind that the 1st weekend of the open house, they brought flowers in honor of our Moms passing. 1 potential buyer showed without an agent the 2nd weekend and really liked the house, so what did Ivonne do? She contacted the buyers agent for them. We had several offers, and in the end, this 1 couple who showed without their agent was not only the top bid, but the best qualified, that they opened a 21 day escrow and the house closed a week ahead of schedule. Ivonne treats every property she sells or helps her buyers purchase as if it is the home she selling or buying placing herself in each person's shoes. She really is passionate about making you feel comfortable and happy. We had the best selling experience with Ivonne.
