I went when they first opened and the food was awful to be transparent. We got the blacked grilled chicken and it was barely edible. However we went and tried again yesterday and the food has gotten SO much better. The burger was absolutely fantastic and the pizza was decent. Overall they are learning and I'm excited to see how they continue to improve in the future read more

let me tell you the nachos with the brisket is fabulous!! The roasted corn gives the nachos the sweet tastes of summer. It is a must order. Service has always been good. Owner and his staff are friendly. read more

We were exited to try this new restaurant and it exceeded our expectations! Food was delicious, environment was clean and unique with brick interior. The services were super nice and helpful with all questions asked. We even met the owner who explained how this was he's dream to open up a restaurant. Go support this family owned business and enjoy some great food and drinks. read more

I I really want to like this place because it's right around the corner from where I live, but I have to say both times I have been there has been disappointing. When it first opened and I was there with a group of people, we tried to tell the manager what a great job the server did and she brushes off like she didn't have any time to hear about it. Today, I was there with a group of 7 for drinks and the server was unfriendly and didn't act like she cared at all. We went at 3 PM so it was not busy and in fact the fire alarm went off and they couldn't figure out how to turn it off so we ended up going outside because it was so loud. We did go back inside once the alarm finally went off put on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being good service, I would have to give her a 1. In fact, none of us even wanted to leave a tip. read more

Well, I'll start with its new and looks new, but the menu and food need work. The menu has prices that after getting your check change ie menu item is "$22" turns out to be $22.97 for example. So that's a big negative. The food is lacking, just tastes like something thrown together no real thought or culinary background went into it. Nachos stacked to the point where you'd have a bag of chips with nothing on them on the bottom of the sheet pan. Use of a salamander should be layered with shredded cheese. Pizza, the pizza was okay it wasn't the best but was decent. Sweet potato fries by far the worst. Tasted like they were fried in the same fryer as fish, it's easy to figure out why it was the least favorite. Mixed drinks were fine and beer was fine. I'm not sure I'd return with the menu issue. It's a very dishonest way to turn people off of business. As well as the check being a random charge up dependent on cash or card use. read more

No idea why there are so many negative reviews, food was great and came out faster than reviews lead on!! Service was on par! Will definitely be coming back. Don't let the other reviews stop you from trying here! read more

Our server was great and our food and drinks were tasty. We will probably go back on a night when they have live music - I think on Thursdays. We ordered a Chicago style pizza - more than enough for the 2 of us so it made 2 meals. Our friends ordered the strawberry salad and one of the pasta dishes. Not Michelin quality but better than most bar foods. We also got the deviled eggs - very good. A bit noisy since the floors are hard concrete and walls and ceiling do not have noise dampeners. Highlight of the evening? The owner has the original "THE MILL" and "Entrance" signs from the former Mill restaurant on the wall. We had to explain to our server (a junior at UI) the significance of the Mill :.( Worth a visit. read more

Great looking patio, and very nice indoor area. The service was good/polite waitress but all orders came out "one at a time" instead of per table. We noticed this was their practice with other tables around us. Both of our sandwiches were good but fries were cold. I can see why happy hour is the time to go because on Saturday afternoon a draft beer is $6.25 a pint. My biggest concern is they added 3% per entree (more than what menu price states) then that amount was taxed before they know if you are paying cash or credit card. We spoke to the owner who was very nice and truly cares, but this needs corrected. I want to see them succeed but I think they can still improve the customer experience by having music playing rather than tv sound, and by keeping food hot & bringing everyone's food out at same time. read more

Went here during the dinner rush. Got sat quickly. food was great! but the service was horrible. I wish i was kidding but We waited 20 mins to get our order taken, 30 mins to get our food, and another 25 mins to get our check even after we had JUST asked for it. We were waiting for so long that my ice was melting in my soda, causing it to become watered down. and when i asked for a new one.. i never got it. I understand it was very busy but It seemed like our server was prioritizing every other table besides us. Overall, I don't think i will be coming here again. read more

3 of us went after going to PinSocial. There was about a 15 minute wait which wasn't terrible. Our server was great but the food was awful and over priced. We ordered a burger and 2 pizzas. The burger was supposed to be medium and came out well done and very charred on the outside. We asked for sweet potato fries and originally got regular fries. They fixed this immediately but then the sweet potato fries were burnt and cold. Had to wait about 10 minutes for some new ones. Pizza was delivered about 20-25 minutes after the burger so I was done eating before the others even started. Pizza was burnt but we didn't feel like waiting any longer. We paid and left. Seemed like some of the staff was working extra while others sat at tables with their friends or spent time just talking with each other when they were clearly busy. We will not be going back. Was way overpriced. read more

Tried it twice. First time during one of the Cup semis, once on a Friday night. First time was fine- but odd. Soccer on TV- but country music so loud the bartender couldn't hear. Cheesecurds fine. Staff was fine. Happy hour is nice- but are they 12 ounce pours all the time? The Friday night was awful. Half full but staffed- but after I was seated it took 10 minutes to be greeted. Ordered all drinks and food together. 30 minutes later the owner came and dropped food. (Did ask if we were ok) 30 minutes later the waitress dropped a bill. Again, food was fine. Pretzel standard but tasty. Asked for the butter chicken poutine with no cheese- or on side as one guest couldn't have cheese. Was told it couldn't be be done. Taste is good but mild. Overall service is mud when not busy, and abysmal when 'busy.' Ownership I think does care- but staff don't. Food is fine. Apps too pricy to reflect a good happy hour. Last thing is the prices in receipt were more? Do they charge 3% extra just because? If it's a credit card thing then list it as such. 3 stars to not tank a new business completely- but clearly lots of opportunity. Suggestion other than obvious is find an identity. Are you a country bar? Sports bar? The fancy Tiffin resteraunt? A Pub? Because a 12 ounce pour of Guinness and country music don't work with the $28 chicken wings read more

Wouldn't recommend. Waited over 5 minutes to be seated. Then again waited over 20 minutes to order a drink. When we tried to order food the waitress said let me go ask the kitchen if they are ready. Had to wait 15 minutes. Tried to order again and got told it will be another 10-15 minutes until the kitchen would be ready. Everyone else around us had food and drinks. Won't be trying again. read more

had to wait to be seated, with multiple open tables... our family of four ordered 2 kids meals (chicken tenders and fries) and my wife and I ordered simple burgers... we waited over an hour for the food to arrive, and the kids arrived first (thank goodness) but we waited an additional 10 mins for the burgers to show up... and when they did come, my wifes burger was all wrong. nothing done on the bill to address the awful experience and we won't be going back. food is mid tier and over priced for what you get. read more
