I would never use or recommend these guys, first of all everyone knows that the wells in this area…read moreare ran by the city, so his first question should be to the homeowner is do we own the well, Steve was here for 6 HOURS, he kept saying that the joint above the window, that needed an expansion, was a structural issue and no matter how many times I asked him to show me where the cracks are, he kept saying he couldn't find any, that's because there were no structural problems with this house, the buyer had a foundational company come out and they told him that the house had no structural issues and that it was built really good. But the buyer was to confused on whom to believe, an actual foundation company or an inspector who doesn't know anything about structure if he can't find a crack but yet kept saying it was structure, lol oh well guess what, the Mason company came out and fixed the expansion joint above the window, he said it happens all the time where the builder doesn't put enough expansion joints by windows. Something an inspector should know, not just immediately go to, oh it's structural.

Full Disclosure - my husband actually met the inspector to go over the house and my experience with…read morethem has been primarily through email and phone. That being said - I have no other previous experience with inspectors and this is to be our first home purchase. However, these people are so incredibly nice I will definitely choose them again. Not only did they quickly get us scheduled - the inspector was there for HOURS going over the house - and then took my husband around the house and pointed out any issues that he would fix. Husband says the price was worth that advice alone. The Inspection Report was delivered quickly and was very detailed - which has allowed our real estate agent the time to go back to the seller with fixes that need to occur. I am not sure that Inspectors are a business that has a "fan" base - but I will highly recommend them to anyone buying a home.

Very disappointed in this company. We just bought a new house with a two year old heating and air…read moreconditioning system. They gave it high marks. Come to find out the heat pump compressor was blown. It was only heating using propane. Cost me $1500. Also an outdoor faucet apparently had frozen at some point in the past. We turned it on to wash off out patio and after coming inside several minutes later discovered a severe leak that soaked our entire basement Would not use them again.

In July, 2016 prior to purchasing my home I paid A Pro Home Inspection Services to inspect the…read morehome. At that time, they found mold on boards in the crawl space under the home. The seller agreed to eradicate the mold, and he insured me this was completed. After a few other issues with the home that the seller did not address, I began to question whether the mold had been eradicated, so I paid A Pro Home Inspections to return to reinspect the home. The inspector reported that the mold was eradicated and the seller had 'fixed it right.' I trusted him. Big mistake! Now nearly 3 years later when I put my home on the market, the prospective buyers had a home inspection completed and they reported mold in the same area that needs to be professionally removed. The buyer has backed out of the contract and I am left with a mess! A Pro Home Inspections owner "Jim" refused to talk with me about this issue and told his receptionist to call and tell me it is the fault of the seller who did not fix the problem; however since I relied on his employee's word that the problem was fixed properly and I paid for their professional expertise, they are responsible for not doing what they were paid to do!

We had them do our inspection when we were out of state moving here, once we bought the house and got here, we found absolutely every window but 3 leaks and ALL the window ledges were swollen with water because of those leaks, some were still wet. You could even see the how warped the ones were way up high, yet all Steve said in his report was you "might" want to have them looked at, NOT, THEY ALL NEED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY LEAK, it's cost us 16,000 dollars to replace half of them which we could've gotten from the homeowner if he had said that, might doesn't say anything. However, it covered his butt from having to have his insurance pay. As long as he says something about it, then he doesn't have to pay. DO NOT USE HIM, if they're going to miss major things you might as well go with someone half the price.

He also answered all of our questions and concerns along the way an just going above and beyond (ex. letting us look through his infrared scanner to see studs and insulation). Their floor plans, virtual home guide, and owner's manual that are included are also very helpful (they give you a printed copy and digital copy). You can also use a free tool called PunchList to get free quotes on all maintenance needs outlined in the inspection - another great feature. They're also available to answer questions you have after your inspection, which is super helpful. Would definitely recommend using Pillar to Post for your inspection and being there in person to walk through it all with them and see things first hand (just be prepared to get in the crawlspace and attic).
