I felt like the attention that she was given at Huntington was individualized and personal and she certainly felt like she got some key test taking tips that helped her achieve the score. One of her issues is that she is naturally a slower and thoughtful reader but would run out of time in the reading and science sections. By getting one or two significant tips she was able to easily finish the test With time to spare.

I started out with a reasonable score, and through the flexible learning system I was put into, I can confidently say that the Huntington Learning center caused the majority of my improvement. More specifically, the tutors Roy and Dylan were my catalysts of knowledge. Roy was right by my side the whole way. Whenever I needed help--even with questions that I thought would sound stupid--he took them with languid anticipation. Being tutored by Roy was successful because we would laugh and talk about our histories while studying. Rather than coming to Huntington for dreary, mind-numbing, cathartic cramming sessions, he made the process one I wouldn't mind repeating. Not only that, but he managed to make the material interesting so that I was constantly involved. To say that Dylan was my ACT tutor does not give him justice. Somehow he managed to become a pivotal figure within my life, mentor, and role-model. On top of that, he caused me to learn an abundance of material for the ACT without even letting me know he was doing so. I was going through some rough stuff when I was being tutored, and Dylan gave me a great deal of life advice. Perhaps most importantly, he encouraged me to keep writing in my free time, ultimately fostering my love for English. My thanks go to Roy, Dylan, and the Huntington Learning Center for making me enjoyably excel within the ACT.

GradePower Learning has changed our daughter's life for the better! 3 years ago she was struggling…read morethrough second grade, behind in reading, and rapidly losing confidence. The advice we received from teachers at school to read more at home didn't seem to be helping, and my husband and I though often about holding her back a year to "catch up". After her initial assessment, we felt, for the first time, that our daughter had actually been seen. They were able to identify the very specific areas she was struggling, so we quickly had a plan to help her develop the skills she needed to bring her up to grade level. It was comforting to know we were investing our time helping her in the areas she needed it most. 3 years later, our girl is thriving in school. Every day when I'd pick up my son, I would see Ruth talking with a parent or myself about milestones being made. It felt like private tutoring. They appreciate kids that don't fit in the standard box and helped me learn my own child's strengths and his preferred ways to learn. The science behind why and how this program works is truly fascinating. Our son is mildly on the…read morespectrum , suffers with severe anxiety and adhd and sensory stuff. Aggression and lack of attention span seem to be our biggest challenges. Within 2 weeks of starting BB , we had a kid that for the first time in his life got up and got ready for school on his own. Overall Tantrums decreased from a 10 to a 3. He started to verbalise his emotions (including gratitude which has never happened before!) His piano teacher commented to me that the change in him was drastic and he could make it through the lessons for the first time without issues. Basically I wish I had done this instead of wasting years in useless OT and behavioural therapy. This program actually changed his brain and results were beyond our expectations.
