Sherry and Tim were the ones who recommended places we could take her for an evaluation. We started our daughter working virtually (thanks to the pandemic) with Tim 2 hours each week starting in September 2020. By January she had made more progress with her reading than she had in the previous three years of school (she had been stuck at a kindergarten level). It is now March 2021 (6 months of tutoring) and by my estimate she has progressed at least a full grade level if not more. I do everything I can for my kids, but teaching a dyslexic kid how to read is not something I am equipped to do. I don't have the knowledge, training, skill set or experience. I put my trust in Sherry and Tim to do what I could not for my daughter and they have not let us down. With their help, she has hope of becoming a fluent reader and writer, of obtaining a skill she will need throughout her life. Highly recommended!

My daughter is currently taking piano and theater, and both classes have been wonderful. The theater program has really unlocked her love for performing, and her piano teacher has shown her how to be creative and truly enjoy making music. My son has taken part in the youth orchestra, where he plays the cello. The instructor is so passionate and makes sure each child has the chance to shine. He is also studying piano, and his teacher's thoughtful approach has helped him progress to more advanced pieces with confidence. Encore Creative Center offers such a warm and inspiring environment. The teachers really care about the students and make learning both fun and rewarding. During our tour, they expressed how much they loved our child, how well she would fit, and even told us there was an open spot. All we needed to do was complete the application. We did exactly that. The application asked detailed questions about our specific Christian faith and the church we attend. Within a week of submitting it, we received a cold, impersonal email informing us that our application was being terminated and our fee refunded. No explanation. No conversation. No willingness to clarify anything. Just a closed door. When I reached out and respectfully asked for the reason behind their sudden reversal, we received complete silence. Not even the courtesy of a reply. Based on the timing and the nature of the questions they focused on, it is hard to see this as anything other than religious discrimination. What makes this even more painful is that our child previously attended a nearly identical "Classical Christian" school in another state--with the same curriculum, same values, same books, same structure--and thrived as a straight-A student. She was everything they say they want in a student. Explaining to her why Ambrose had suddenly changed their mind was absolutely heartbreaking. Their academics appear strong, and I am sure many students receive an excellent education. But our experience revealed something far more concerning: a lack of transparency, compassion, and Christlike behavior. The way we were treated was dismissive, exclusionary, and completely out of line with the values they claim to uphold. Families deserve honesty and respect. Sadly, we experienced neither.
