We missed so many shops in Michigan because they wouldn't allow well behaved dogs! Their loss! The owner, Sabrina, is as sweet as her shop! There are SO many wonderful things at reasonable prices and the place is bigger than it looks! It's neat, tidy, and well organized. My only complaint is that it is over 2 hours from where I live! I found a sweet artist print that I took home but had to pass on a furniture piece that we didn't have room for! Don't miss this one if you love antiques, collectibles or home decor!! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Anyway, without further ado, my review of Touches of Time Antique Mall: I love antiques! I love anything that's old, any thing that reminds me of the past. My favorite subject growing up was history... still is one of my favorite types of book to read. I just feel like I was born in the wrong time. More over, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping for home decor. I love making my home more beautiful and comfortable. Antique stores, which combine both my love of old things and my love of decor... is one of my favorite types of store to shop in. Touches of Time, is one of the better antique stores I have been to and has become one of my favorite stores in my new home town of Van Wert. I have come several times already. I have bought items for myself including beer steins, antique candle holders, and other items. I bought my friend apple some cute gifts from here, that she loved. I also came here during the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk, which they were involved to giving out free chocolate. This store is just wonderful, it has items of all kinds: Christmas decorations, books, furniture, collectibles, tools, a huge grandfather clock, coins, etc. Come here often because there is always sometime new and interesting here to find. Place is huge, three floors for you to explore! What more can I say about it, except that you need to come check it out!

Some of the booths are well organized and some are just a mess. I did find one fantastic basket but not much else. The lady working here was delightful. She reached out to the person that had the booth and tried to get me the best price possible. That was appreciated. Especially since the basket was marked pretty high. If I was in the area I would definitely check back but I wouldn't drive the 45 minutes I drove to get here again just to come in. Worth checking out though if in the area.

I've found my new favorite place. We have recently purchased a house in the area and I am trying to…read morefurnish it. I have been looking for places where dealers have individual booths. Finally, I found this place. The store has great parking out front. The aisles are large and easy to navigate. There are so many different types of dealers that everyone is sure to find a treasure. I was looking for furniture. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but the prices were extremely affordable for the quality represented. I found several accent tables and nightstands. I even found a lovely small sideboard that was solid wood. I also found a great set of nesting tables for $59.99. I was amazed since I have bought a set at wholesale price in the past and paid close to $150 for them. Darion was super knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. As said, I purchased a number of larger pieces and wanted to fit them all into my vehicle. Darion took the time to help me load them and reload them in my car until we were able to fit most of them in. She was willing to keep trying different ways to get it all in. She definitely went above and beyond. Without her help I would have had to get someone to come help me load my car since the pieces were too bulky and heavy to do it alone. She was AMAZING!!!!!! I look forward to coming in on a regular basis since these types of stores have constantly revolving stock. If you see something you like, buy it, because it will be gone the next time you come in.

What I did see I thought some things were priced well and some were overpriced but that is the way it is when you have booths as everyone prices their items differently. Cambridge is a charming Midwestern town in Wayne County, Indiana. The town was once a…read moretransportation hub with four railroads, the Whitewater Canal and the Cumberland National Road. National Road Antique Mall is one of 17 antique shops in the town. The mall is filled with two stories of antique booths that carry primitive antiques and vintage Americana. Many booths were offering sale prices. I was greeted when I walked in by friendly staff. The mall is clean with mostly wide aisles. There is a restroom centrally located on the first floor. There as plenty of free street parking today, but probably at a premium when summer rolls around.

Once you get in, it's a disaster. The "merchandise" is laying all over the place. Tons of old medicine bottles and boxes. If it falls off of the shelf, it remains on the floor. The building is unsafe. Should be condemned! The structure is unsafe and walls are crumbling. Weeds are growing through the wall where the plaster is falling. The town Post Office is connected to the building next door, probably the only reason why it hasn't been torn down. Upstairs, the ceiling is falling through.... There is a sign saying it's ok to dig through the boxes!! I was scared that a rat would surprise me! Dirty, stinky, trashy.... don't waist your time or your safety!

Their specialty is items that you would find in a drug store like over the counter beauty and medical treatments, and other pharmaceutical and personal care items. The proprietor said that the shop provides props for movie and television productions, and honestly, the shop itself looks like a movie set. So many items there that you never see anywhere, and they've got tons of each item stacked floor to ceiling in room after room. My daughter and I both made purchases: she got a box full of old makeup items (e.g. Don Juan lipsticks & some very early rare Max Factor items, etc.), one of the things she collects, and I found some vintage IHOP restaurantware in great condition. The prices were very fair. The shop itself is a bit cluttered but worth navigating. After sort of having my mind blown after seeing all the stuff they had (I don't know how else to describe it lol--it's an experience) I did some googling and learned that the proprietor wrote a book on drug store collectibles that I found on ebay. If this is the sort of collecting genre that interests you, or if you just want to go someplace different than you've ever been before, you should check them out.
