What I did see I thought some things were priced well and some were overpriced but that is the way it is when you have booths as everyone prices their items differently. Cambridge is a charming Midwestern town in Wayne County, Indiana. The town was once a…read moretransportation hub with four railroads, the Whitewater Canal and the Cumberland National Road. National Road Antique Mall is one of 17 antique shops in the town. The mall is filled with two stories of antique booths that carry primitive antiques and vintage Americana. Many booths were offering sale prices. I was greeted when I walked in by friendly staff. The mall is clean with mostly wide aisles. There is a restroom centrally located on the first floor. There as plenty of free street parking today, but probably at a premium when summer rolls around.

We did a U - turn and we were able to find a parking spot right in front of the store. We received a friendly greeting as we walked in and had a lot of fun looking through the very well stocked store. We had limited time so we only made one pass through but I'm sure we missed lots of goodies. It's one of those stores that requires several passes to take everything in. I spotted a wooden statue (I included a picture) that I thought was charming and so he now resides in my home. The store owner was very nice and helpful and I look forward to stopping in again. I was impressed with the high quality of items, gathered in orderly fashion, that I found here. They aren't a large shop, especially compared to some other "antique" places that are more flea market than vintage and antique. But I was pleased that these items were more appealing without having to spend a lot of time sorting through endless booths. I was greeted as I entered and had no difficulty finding free street parking nearby. Note that the prices here aren't the cheapest either. But I attribute that to the pieces being of solid quality and having to cover the cost of running a shop in the downtown area. This was a Tuesday so some of the shops were closed on Monday and Tuesday so I will have to make another trip into town to see the rest of them. The shop had a lot of primitives in it. The shop also had light fixtures that were made by someone out of old farm machinery that I thought were really cool. So if you are looking for something out of the ordinary for your decor this may be a good place to stop.

They have a variety of old music and movies and books, plus clothes, furniture, tools, and cleaning supplies. Things have changed from time to time, but I never seem to find much, except old stuff. They had a clothing items, antiques, vintage items, and assorted other things. The clothes they had were both children and adults. On this day their credit card machine was down so I ended up having to run out to my vehicle to get my checkbook but it was all good after that. The lady at the counter was really nice and one of the items I bought was glass and she wrapped it nicely so it didn't break. I will probably venture back in here to see what they have another time.

Nice little shop. You enter on the side of the log cabin looking building. There's also a little…read moretable and chairs out there if you just need to take a little rest while you're walking and looking at shops. On this day shopping I was not really looking it for anything in particular. However I did find some old magazines in this shop, I love to use old magazines in my art. I purchased four of these magazines for $3 each and they were all from the late sixties early seventies. Next time I am in Cambridge City I will stop in here again and see what they have new in their shop.

It was a weird experience, so I didn't end up staying long.
