Long story, but I had to write the MN state attorney general because after my CPAP machine was recalled about 3 years ago, I NEVER RECEIVED THE CORRECT FILTER FOR MY NEW CPAP. The staff tried multiple times after 5 calls and three visits to get into their computer system to change the number on my filter orders so that I didn't get the old filter for my old machine that I had to send back to the CPAP company. After I sent the letter to the state AG, I got a snotty phone call from some guy named Sean, demanding to know what machine I was using. I told his staff several times the name of my machine and even brought it into this store to show them and they said they could not help me because they couldn't change it on the computer. I met an elderly gentleman yesterday. We got to talking, and I discovered his rollator walker was broken. I decided to help him get it fixed. I stopped at Corner Home Medical to see if I could order parts and got the cold shoulder. The lady at the front desk informed me that if the walker wasn't purchased in their store they wouldn't provide service. I hope someday businesses sit back in their chairs and ponder the reasons Amazon is taking over every industry. If I don't get customer service from my local suppliers, what would be holding me back from using Amazon? Wow. Soooo bad. We stopped in to order a four wheel walker for my wife. Three different times we were told on the phone to have the doctor provide certain information. Three times we went to the doctor's office and had the doctor fax the requested information. After each time the Corner Medical person said something ELSE had to be sent. Today it came to a head when we were told the doctor had to send a fax that said there needed to be proof of a conversation. Even if true, we should have been told ALL of this up front. After sitting on hold for 15+ minutes a Customer service person finally answers the phone. I explained I need a replacement Cpap machine, he says I need to call the manufacturer. I said No this isn't a warranty issue my Cpap is old and needs to be replaced. He says there is a backlog and I would have to wait in line, he adds I need to call my doctor so he can prescribe the new unit. I asked how long of a wait is it, he said he has no idea. We just had a really bad experience with this store. We were told we could not get an appointment for two weeks to have the CPAP repaired, or even looked at to see what is wrong with it. What's worse, they didn't care if my wife could sleep or even breath for the next two weeks. How can they claim to be a medical business if this is the way they handle medical issues. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with any company. From not receiving calls back (at all), to waiting weeks upon weeks for action on their part before calling and being brushed off and told to wait for a call, to waiting months, calling back, being told our prescription is now expired. The entire experience was enveloped in incompetence and complete lack of caring. Nobody knew what they were doing, and if I weren't in the medical field, the process still would not be done. This business is completely indifferent to customer service. They have no CPAP machines in stock although there are numerous online companies that carry these machines. There nebulizer machines are ridiculously overpriced so much so that it was cheaper for me to buy retail. Finally, the employees are lazy. Ever notice how many bad reviews they receive followed by the inevitable management mea culpa. That is a red flag. inevitably, they will blame Covid but these problems predate Covid. They have a lot of locations, I like AV. I walked in and the place is riddled with all kinds of medical equipment. In the middle is a therapeutic scooter that would put a Harley Davidson to shame. After the doctors visit, and the test for sleep apnea, this is where you end up for your gear. After they get you test results, they call you to set up an appointment. Boy have things advanced in this area. They have a wall full of choices. I opted for the girly little machine, with just two little nasal inserts that the air blows out of, as opposed to a mask. I don't feel a thing and now sleep through the night. If you have trouble sleeping or snore, don't put this off. I was so happy I'm having my husband replace his for the 21st century. read more

My wife and I have used Corner Medical for our CPAP supplies as well as other things for several years. We have generally had good service. However, recently I lost my job and insurance. I needed a new CPAP machine so bought one from them. I made it clear that my insurance was ending shortly so that for them to cover the machine I needed to purchase it rather than rent it. Some months later I started receiving bills from Corner Medical. I assumed it was part of the insurance dance that they had to do. When I kept receiving bills, I called them and my insurance and found out that Corner Medical had submitted it as a rental. Since my insurance expired, I was being charged $80 for the balance of the rental. I explained that I had explicitly said that I needed to buy and not rent. Since they submitted it wrong, I should not be responsible for their error. That flatly refused to waive the $80 and if I didn't pay it would be turned over to collections even though my wife and I have given them quite a bit of business over the years. I feel that this is an extremely poor way to treat good customers. They make a great deal of money bilking insurance companies for these devices and it would be a small price to pay for keeping good customers. There are several good companies out there that will welcome our business and we will be using them from now on. I would suggest that you do the same. read more

My experience has been sub par since day one. I found that the cpap was not for me and discontinued using it. A few months later I received a bill for the cost of the machine. The woman at customer service said that I should of received a phone call months earlier with the opportunity to return the machine and the bill credited. She told me I must of fallen thru the cracks. At that time I paid the entire bill and additional months that she said I would be charged for. Sure enough the next month I received another bill for the monthly that I was no longer using and also had paid for. I called and was told to ignore the bill that I actually had a credit and once everything cleared I could expect to receive a check. Well the next month I received ANOTHER bill. I called and was told there was no credit and that I needed to pay this bill. I have since requested a complete breakdown on my account from then. I guess they are refusing to send one since they have now sent me a past due bill instead. I feel that I am being totally scammed. Times are hard enough without companies trying to take advantage of seniors. I would NEVER do business with this company and I hope I can save someone else the misery of doing business with them with this review. read more

I have been trying to get a hold of 3 different Corner Home Medical locations today to check if they have a certain size of thigh high compression stocking for my husband. When I have been lucky enough to get my call to go through, I am placed on hold and then the call is dropped after over 20 minutes of waiting. I have been trying to talk to an employee all afternoon. This is so frustrating! I have had issues like this every time I have needed to contact this compNy. I would really recommend that you have your prescriptions sent to a different company, such as Superior Home Medical. They are very professional and helpful there. Absolutely terrible. Employee could not even remove her body from her chair to help me with my request. I had to maneuver around two chairs in front of the desk on a cane in order to make my request. I also had to tell her I probably needed to be measured for the brace. She reluctantly did after a couple of tries as well as slow motion in locating a tape measure somewhere on the other side of the room. Of course, that size was not in stock. Of course, what difference did it make, in stock or not in stock, or did she even check? She informed me my other request was not covered by my insurance. She also informed me she needed authorization for the brace which was not in stock. This is the absolute worst and laziest and inept and useless and disrespectful and insolent individual to hold an important job of helping the infirm people. I wish I had not subjected myself to losing the time I spent and leaving with nothing. This company is charging the insurance company (Health Partners-terrible insurance) $200 a month for 10 months ($2000) for renting a machine that I want to outright pay for, but am not allowed to. Ordered two pair of compression socks on October 12th. I called a couple times to check on them and was told they will be here soon or tomorrow, this was probably early November. I called on November 11th and was told they were being shipped from Bloomington to Apple Valley and they will call me soon (within a day or two.) On November 19th I called again to check on their status and was told they did arrive in Apple Valley but one pair was the wrong color. I am beside myself with this company. A similar thing happened when I ordered last year. It took FOREVER to get the socks. They were supposed to send socks to Apple Valley. The socks got left on a desk in Bloomington. It seemed like it was months before I got the socks. The customer service rep's are always nice on the phone, BUT I can't ever seem to get the product I order in a timely manner and I always have to be the one to follow up and ask what is going on. The other thing that is extremely frustrating is that I can't contact the Apple Valley store directly to check to see if the product is there. The call gets routed back to Bloomington. I sit on hold. Wait. I get forwarded to a customer service rep and then they have to call Apple Valley while I sit on hold again. I was using a different company to purchase these socks in the past but our health insurance took that place off their list--who knows why. I wish I could still use that place!!! At this other company, I would get our socks within 1 week of ordering them at this other place which was even closer to my home. This other company made it so easy to place an order, pick up an order in a very timely manner and to pay for an order. At Corner Medical even the billing is very difficult to understand. Last year, I remember having to make follow up phone calls to understand why the EOB didn't match the bill and to find out why it was billed to another name on the EOB. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will certainly use a different company next time even if it costs more.
