I went with a friend. The place was clean and cute. The service was pretty good but the food was just ok. I had the salami sandwich. It looked like I made it at home. The salami and the mustard were good but it was on sliced white bread with the crust cut off. I definitely thought that it could've been elevated maybe by grilling the bread or toasting it or using some kind of fancier bread. My friend got the wings and did not love them. They were just OK ...not really smoky, not very flavorful. We were a little bit disappointed, but we both decided that we would give it another try. Hopefully soon. read more

Very cute neighborhood dive bar and coffee place. I was in the area, and it was time for brunch. I went in to Corner Club, and I ordered a cold brew and a rosti from the bar, then I sat down at one of the many tables. Very quickly, I had a nice cold coffee drink and crispy potatoes covered with sour cream, green onions and lox. Everything was delicious. Service is casual but friendly. The outside of Corner Club looks divey, but inside is nice and clean. There is some parking in a private lot, but I suspect many walk from the neighborhood. read more

Came to carb load on my 7k mile 24 city food tour and this was prior to a craft beer loop so my goal was carbs. Order the potato rosti which had home fries, lox, miso ranch, and scallion. Everything tasted very good. Hot and cold played off each other. I'd only say the ratios were slightly off on the plating where I was left with a lot of plain potatoes by the bottom of the bowl. Corner Club is the story of a local Dive bar reborn as a lively open air welcoming local eatery, coffee bar, and weekly cozy events place catering to locals of Old Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa. Corner Club has a limited menu but each item on their thoughtfully crafted menu is made with heart and pride. The menu offers coffee, cocktails, mock tails, wine, breakfast items (quiche, biscuits, pancakes, toast), lunch items (bratwurst, pretzel rolls, pizza, sandwiches, wings, burgers) The space has plenty of indoor seating, a small game room, and a decent sized backyard patio with covered seating and a small stage. The staff are very welcoming and it's a great space to hang out with friends for conversations over yummy dishes. I tired their Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita which tasted like a combination of strawberry fizz with jalapeño tequila. This drink isn't for everyone. It was decent but somehow the combination weren't my favorite. I also had their Smoked Bratwurst - pork sausage, tepache mustard in a pretzel roll. This was by far one of great tasting bratwurst I've had in a while. The hot bratwurst wrapped in warm pretzel roll had a perfect balance of meaty glutinous taste. The mustard added a little bite as aftertaste. A great item to order. My side of Papas Bravas - Spanish style potatoes w/ paprika, aioli, scallion was a perfect combination to my bratwurst. The potatoes were slightly crusty on the outside while being moist inside. The paprika added the visually striking color and the aioli added a creamy finish to each bite. This is a must have when visiting Corner Club. This place is a hidden neighborhood gem. If you are not local to the neighborhood, you might find it to be in the middle of nowhere. I think the location adds appeal to the history and legacy of corner club. read more

Wow! What a secret GEM! This place has such a great drinks, food and ambiance! We went on the coldest night of the year and they had cocktails to warm you up that were made fresh that night! It was movie night and they played the movie Elf. When it was the scene of the snowball fight, the owner Jeni sent all the kids out back to have their very own snowball fight! It's rare to find a place that cares so much about their customers the way this place does! The menu is small but the food is delicious and there is something for everyone including vegans! They have beer and wine but they make cocktails out of them that won't have you missing the liquor! They have games for kids and adults, a private room for events and an amazing outside area for eating, music and your fur babies! There is something for everyone in this place! HIGHLY recommend! I came here for a networking event with Breakin' Barriers. It was my first time visiting corner club & it definitely won't be the last. I love how cute & quaint this spot is. The mocktail & n/a selection is decent, and it was difficult to pick something to eat because it all looked and sounded good. I ended up opting for their hoppy citrus seltzer and the hummus and veggie dish. The staff were all lovely and friendly as well. My visit was during the evening but I would definitely love to give this place another try during the day time just to see how their coffee and breakfast menu holds up. read more

One of my favorite new spots in Seminole Heights! They have great food, good variety in the beer and wine lists, and even though there's no liquor officially, with things like High Noon available, there's something to make everyone happy! Haven't been for the live music yet, but they have a really nice outdoor space with a stage setup. Great addition to the neighborhood! read more

I came here with some buddies of mine for a couple of beers after work. This place use to be a real sh*thole before it was bought and fixed up. That statement is true for a lot of places in the Seminole Heights area. It was a Monday night and was pretty dead. They had about 4 people sitting at the bar and a family of three sitting out back when we got here. We each had about three beers each and had a good enough selection that we could change it up on each order. None of us got anything on draft which makes me think they may only have bottles and cans. We also ate dinner while we were here. I had the burger, one of my friends had the piz'za and the other had a burger as well, with the papas bravas. The food was great but the portions were a little small. The friend of mine who ordered the papas bravas had been here before so he knew to order a little extra. That same friend lives in the area and since he works from home, he raved a little bit about their breakfast options. If you come here, the place is hard to miss since it is on the corner of a somewhat busy intersection. It seems like they have a lot of parking, but it was also a slow night so that might not always be the case. Cheers! read more

Brunch was a bust, unfortunately. Four of us met this morning, a leisurely walk for all of us who live nearby. We want the Corner Club to prosper. Unfortunately, our companions found the biscuit sandwich so-so and the quiche rather tasteless. My wife agreed about the sandwich. I ordered the pancakes: Four "dollar"-sized sitting on a plain plate, but the real problem was that they were so hard that they didn't cut with a fork. Either they were made earlier and reheated, perhaps, or they were frozen and reheated. Clearly the worst I ever have had in a restaurant. I hope that all this can be fixed. read more

This was a really cool old old old bar that had pretty neat decor and a super casual laid back feeling. First visit: Middle of the afternoon. The bartender was very nice and the lady who cleans was cool and there were two other people there, that's it. Beer was cheap (but hey, I drink cheap beer), they offer food for free most of the time, which is cool, there's a karaoke setup and a pool table, TVs as well (sports fans rejoice). It's a definite dive. I'm sure I'll be back. Very cool. Second visit: Karaoke had the place poppin off the chain!!! I went alone & had a BLAST! Talk about selection in terms of what to sing- it's like the dj has everything! The crowd (both young & old) was incredibly friendly & welcoming- even alone I had awesome people to talk to (one gentleman lived really close to me & gave me a sober+safe ride home; THANK YOU!). Sadly, I was a tad too buzzed to properly sing my fave karaoke, but it didn't stop me from trying. No one was even mean about it! No one leaves this place feeling unwelcome; whether you end up just hanging out with the staff or you're in the middle of the karaoke madness (Fri & Sat nights), you're going to have a good time. read more

This bar was redone into a lovely coffee shop and cafe. I stopped by for a bagel and tea on my morning run. The new owner, Jeni, did a lovely job renovating the place and they have a great selection of drinks and food. The staff were all wearing masks and were very polite. So I met my friend here last week and had no idea what to expect. It looked like an older bar on the outside but you could see it was rehabbed lately. The inside was super cool! Nice wood worked bars and tables open a bright with a great neighborhood bar vibe to it. Most of the beers are from local breweries which I love! They have coffee and pastries and food in the morning but at night you can order small plates or sandwiches, the menu was small but anyone could get something good there. We ordered a few copper tail night swims, and the charcuterie board Went outside to sit. The outside area is awesome! Probably the coolest dive bar That my fiancé and I have been to. We're from out of state and the locals made us feel at home (Justin and Bianca). Josh, the bartender, was probably one of the best, most laid back and conversational bartenders we've ever had and we've been to a lot of bars... Honestly, can't judge a book by its cover but highly recommend this place to anyone nearby. Also, the gumbo was phenomenal (just add a little spices and you're good to go). I had the focaccia pizza. It was small and room temperature by the time it arrived to my table. The cheese was melted but I guess it sat around while my friend's burger was cooking. Or maybe is premade then brought out not heated up. We split an order of the potatoes with aioli, which were pretty good. Again, not hot. I did order a strawberry pop tart and chocolate chip muffin to go. It's a very casual eatery where you order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. There's a nice selection of beer and mimosas were available on this Sun morning. We just had water but if you want booze with your brunch then go for it!
