At Corner Canyon, our main purpose is to glorify God by helping people come to know the amazing grace of Jesus Christ, whether you've been attending church for years or never stepped into a church ever. We hope you'll come and join us Sunday if you're looking for a church in the Salt Lake area.
We believe firmly at Corner Canyon that you don't have to clean up your life before you come to Jesus Christ. The good news of the Gospel is that you can come to Jesus with your sin and brokenness, and He will help clean up your life by His grace alone. So come to our church with your sins, your doubts, and your brokenness. Jesus Christ himself said, "For I have come not to call the righteous, but sinners." So all sinners, doubters, and seekers are welcomed and embraced at Corner Canyon because we understand that we all desperately need the grace of Jesus Christ!
When you come to join us for the first time, one of our greeters will be glad to help you become comfortable. If you'd like, they'll help you find the nursery (which is fully staffed and safely run), restrooms and, of course, coffee and snacks after the service.
During the service, we worship God through the preaching of the Bible, prayer, singing songs unto the Lord, and by taking the Lord's Supper. All parts of our service are rooted in Scripture.
No matter what your Christian background is (or isn't), we hope you'll join us on Sunday. We invite you to attend our Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday.
History
Established in 2018.
"First constructed by the LDS Church, the meetinghouse originally served the Draper LDS 2nd Ward. After serving as the Catholic parish's St. John the Baptist Church, the building was sold to the Episcopalian Diocese. In 2004, the congregation of the Hidden Valley Presbyterian Church, under the leadership of Pastor Lee Mashburn, purchased the building."
- From the Deseret News
The church has now been relaunched as Corner Canyon Church in the summer of 2018. We are now a growing congregation with new outreach programs, a new youth group, and a new Pastor, Nate Taylor
Meet the Manager: Nathanael T.
Pastor Nate grew up in Southern California. Although he was raised in a Christian home, he became skeptical of Christianity by the time he started high school. He finally accepted Christ at the age of 20 after hearing the evidence and reasons for Christianity. He felt the call to ministry, so he began studying the Bible and evangelizing. As time went on, he felt called to go to school to learn more about the Bible. He first went to Biola University for a Bachelor's degree in Bible and theology. After Biola, Nate went on to receive two master's degrees from Westminster Seminary California and Talbot School of Theology. He has previously served as Youth Pastor at The Bridge Church in South Carolina where he taught the youth how to defend and share their faith with others. Because of his background Nate is very passionate about evangelism, apologetics (giving reasons for Christianity) and preparing youth spiritually for College.
