I asked for a salad instead of fries and the waitress said "no problem". Salad was good, and the fries were great! In fact, my husband ended up ordering a salad after seeing mine. BLTs were the driest sandwiches we've ever had. Dry toast with no mayo or dressing of any kind, although the ingredients themselves were good. Hamburger was a little dry, but decent. I had ordered a coke and they brought me a big carafe to refill as I wanted! Big problem was that they were making a ceiling repair in the bar area and it was very loud with banging and power tools! Another annoyance when they brought the bill was that they charged me $2 for swapping salad for fries. She said that was their policy, though she never mentioned it at the time. I paid the same as my husband even though he got salad and fries with his meal. I said, "so I could have got my sandwich with fries and a salad for the same price you charged for just salad and sandwich?" And she said yes! Makes absolutely no sense! So, kind of a mixed review. It's passable if you need to eat in Deer Lodge. And, if you're aware of some of their policies in advance you'll probably be fine.
