BS +++ A great college. Its peaceful. A WINNER when it comes to programs. It has great transportation and not too expensive for any NY residents. Highly recommend this place as top 10. Boomsauce Scale: BW - basura (trash) BS - basic (come on! Try harder) BS + - better (Yo! That's better) BS ++ - best (alright! Alright! Alrightttt!) BS +++ - Amazing location! now that's boomsauce!

I am not sure how you're supposed to rate a college especially an Ivy League one. I'm just a visitor. The Science Olympiad 2019 tournament was held here. This is a beautiful college campus located somewhat of a mountain if you will with lots of green and a stream running through. You can enjoy a nice water fall what Ithaca is known for. You can visit a botanical garden full of herbs and flowers. Make sure you visit the Cornell store for souvenirs if you're a visitor like me. If you're one of those lucky ones to attend here, they got everything that you need right on campus. It's like being on a military base. Someone said they even have their own zip code.

Was visiting the area, so we drove around the campus and took in the magnificent architecture! Next time I'll call for a tour. There is a waterfall nearby we explored. However, we were not sure where to park. There were many signs and rules about parking so we drove around most of the time.

Meal from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations - really good for a college.

Cornell has the most beautiful campus in the country with many large sprawling green knolls and stately buildings full of history. McGraw Tower, for instance, had a pumpkin perched on its top by a student playing a prank in 1997! Cornell is an Ivy League, though a very large one with over 20,000 students. This is not the place to have one's hand held, but they are good to their students. When I applied here there was a superior level of attention paid to applicants compared to what I experienced from the UC System. Some favorite classes are a science of sleep class, in which you are encouraged to nap, as well as an experimental food class that hosts an ice cream flavor competition. The winning flavor is featured at the dining common. And speaking of the dining common, there is one on campus that allows you to submit a recipe from home for them to make - very sweet for children who miss their mommies and daddies.

Dear Ezra Cornell, I've enjoyed spending time at your academic institution during my graduate years. I loved to hear the chimes from my apartment at Thurston Ave and you're the reason why I came out from sunny California to, well, Ithaca winter( I've learned to shovel snow and scrap windshield in the process)! You might have to explain to me why there is a sundial by Goldwin Smith Hall. lol. I enjoyed going to the Big Red Barn for Grad TGIF, Cornell Dairy store, and aww...the Upstate NY apple cider and cider donuts! :-) I love your traditions such as Slope Day and Dragon Day, as well as reunion week where alum wear red jackets and smoke cigars in tents with cheese and wine while the undergrads and grad took care of your kids (I had fun doing that). I also loved walking along Beebe lake and just watching the gorges! I would love to come back to visit soon! Best of all, Ithaca is gorges! Sincerely, Your nephew, MAT '05

What a beautiful campus. The buildings are full of wonderful architecture. Visiting the campus it has many trails and waterfalls. We even visited the observatory which was great. Suprising how many people were there enjoying it. Second visit and this place had yet to lose its beauty

Went here for four years, and despite the many complaints I have about the place, I'd still highly recommend it.

I came to Cornell University to see my nephew's graduation!!…read more Located in the city of Ithaca, New York, he actually had two graduations, one indoors in the basketball arena, and the next day outside on the football field. We ate here in a very nice restaurant in the Statler Hotel on campus after the graduation on the first day. He also showed us the statue of Ezra Cornell, and explained the rich history here. This campus is on a hill, so you get some good views up here. It's also a very well kept place. He definitely enjoyed his time attending this prestigious university!!

Cornell is "gorges" (gorgeous)! What a beautiful campus. Came here a few months back on an Upstate…read moreNY trip and swung by Cornell. Beautiful views of Lake Cayuga, plenty of gorges/ravines with free-running water, lush plant life/vegetation, and beautiful architecture - that basically sums of Cornell! Lots to see on campus. Some of my favorite campus highlights are the Dairy Barn, Lab of Ornithology, the Arts Quad, the Uris Library, and the clock tower. One thing I learned about the clock tower is that there are actual chimesmasters who play the music in the clock tower who play at various times in the day. Absolutely amazing! Cornell reminded me a lot of UC Davis (where I went for school)- except a much more hilly version with more history. I did like the laid back atmosphere of the school, which reminded me of my undergrad days. And as a note, if you plan to drive here - there are plenty of parking lots where you can park your car. Parking is hourly, and more expensive in central campus. If you don't mind walking, you can park in a lot that's a little bit farther from the main sights (e.g. maybe a 5-10 min walk to where you might need to get to). Parking is also free after a certain hour - which depends on where you park. Make sure to double check the parking restrictions.
