I called the day before letting them know I'll be picking up the following day. They said okay. When I get there & tell them I called, they took twenty minutes for me to get my flowers that I said I was gonna pick up at the hour. The man gave me some excuse of "oh we've been busy all day." When I received the flowers I noticed they forgot to put the little note on the flowers. I had to ask them to put it on there. Time is money. The flowers also looked very fragile & not taken care of. Simply a terrible florist they are very unprofessional in every aspect. Ordered a plant for my nephews funeral and requested a couple of special items on it. When it was delivered it was terrible with broken and brown leaves with many with large tears or holes in them. They also failed to include the special decor we paid for. I contacted the manger and found him to be argumentative and he denied that they received my order. Finally he found the paperwork and promptly blamed it on his employee and and promised a partial refund; however, I never received the refund. I strongly suggest that you avoid this florist. They have been around along time, but I expect not with this manger/owner. read more

When I called to verify my order last week, the person who answered the phone did not speak or understand English very well. I asked if there was someone else I could speak with and another man came on the phone. When I explained that I was calling to verify my order and make sure that the selection I chose was in stock and if there would be any substitutions, he immediately became defensive. Without asking for any details about my order, he asked me if I was from a "wire service." When I told him I was a customer that ordered directly from his website his tone still did not change. He seemed annoyed that he had to even look up my order and verify the delivery details. Once again, I asked about the specific arrangement and substitutions. He told me the orchids would be replaced with carnations because orchids "take two weeks" and I "should have read his policy" about substitutions, followed by "so do you want to cancel it?" I told him I did not want to cancel the order as the funeral was that day but I did not want carnations and asked if he could substitute them with something else. He then said that roses were "the same price" as orchids so he could put a few more roses. I reluctantly agreed but let him know it was disappointing that the arrangement would not be as advertised. No apology, just another curt "do you want to cancel it?" At this point, I let him know he was lacking in customer service and asked for his name to which he replied "Pablo Picasso." The arrangement did make it to the funeral home on time but it did not look like the arrangement I ordered in the photo. I don't know if orchids always take two weeks but maybe they shouldn't have this particular arrangement on their website if it will always require substitutions. If you are looking for a florist with professional customer service and respect for grieving families, please look elsewhere. read more

I am a last minute person when it comes to pretty much everything. I was able to call Cornelius Florist for same day delivery without any issues for a particular time frame. I told the person my budget, color scheme, and they were for my mom. I let them work their magic. Since I currently reside in Massachusetts, I also asked if I may receive a picture of the arrangement when it was completed prior to delivery. When I received the pictures from Cornelius Florist, I was speechless with their floral arrangements. My mother said it was also the most beautiful arrangement with all her favorite fall colors. DO NOT BUY !!! Beware they are SCAMMERS. My boyfriend who lives in North Carolina ordered from Cornelius Florist in Hardy for Valentine's Day and my birthday and it was never delivered. It has been two weeks now and this business has not refunded him his money which he spent over $100. He calls them daily for a refund but they keep saying that their internet does not work. The manager is horrible no customer service. I order my wedding bouquet three weeks in advance and paid almost 300.00. I chose my style and color and was promised it would be ready by 2 the day of my wedding. I arrive at the flower shop at 2 and was told my order form was misplaced and order was not ready. I asked the manager why and how was it not ready. He tells me what you want your money back and started arguing with me. Telling me it was human error and if I want it or not. At this point I had to take them but would have to have them delivered to the venue and no charge to me. When they arrived they we're Not the color I ordered and basic. It was horrible. I was not refunded or told of a price difference since it was not what was on the order for or requested. Save you the stress and don't come here. I have not much experience with picking out flowers and I hate to shop online. I generally call to place an order, but these were for my father's funeral, so drove to Cornelius Florist in the hopes they could help me select the flowers I envisioned. I met with the owner and was very pleased in how he walked me through my options and help create the arrangements I wanted from the very poor descriptions I was giving him. Not once did Pablo give me the feeling that he was every trying to upsell me based on my emotions. He continually ensured me that he understood what I was looking for and that I would be pleased. The final arrangements far exceeded my expectations. Not only were the arrangements absolutely beautiful, but he also perfectly captured my visions as described to him. I am not a person who generally writes any type of review, but I was amazed at how some customers talked about poor customer service. I have used Cornelius Florist for over 30 years and have literally been happy 100% of the time. I do not have an account, they do they know me personally and have no idea who I am when I call. I use Cornelius Florist because of their superior customer service. While I do not want to discount any other person's experience, I have been in the customer service business most my life, it is fair to say that while there are poor businesses out there, there are also some very poor customers as well. I few things to think about: A flower arrangement is literally a work of art made from living flowers. To pick something out on a website and expect that it can be exactly duplicated 365 days a year is an unreasonable expectation. If you order from a major flower website, as much as half your money could be going to that website, which is not the florist fault. Lastly, you get what you pay for. read more

My sister and I made an order of bridesmaids bouquets and the brides bouquet about a month and a half before the wedding. We showed pictures of EXACTLY what we wanted and he gave us the price and everything. He even showed us that he would give us the best flowers they have. So yesterday we go pick up the flowers for the wedding and the whole order was completely wrong. And to make it worst, he had the most horrible attitude. To top it off, he said he that what we wanted cost more, but yet he was the one who gave us the price of what we wanted. We had ordered 5 bridesmaids bouquets and he only made 3. Very low quality. Worst than what I've seen at walgreens roses. Then to top it off, he didn't have anymore roses so they used really small roses compared to the other 3 and they weren't exactly the same color. Sorry but it was the worst service I've seen. Just go to another florist if you want to order your bouquets. I'm NEVER going back to them again. read more
