They also sell ice cream and any sweets you can imagine. The owner and personell are very nice. The interior is welcoming. Maybe a wee but more thought needs to go into serving junior guests! All in all, I'd give it a 3.5/5. I'd go back if I was in need of sustenance next time I'm swimming. The caramel shortcake they make here is also some of the best I've tasted, and they also do a host of homecooking and lunches. Situated at the Greenock end of the beautiful Esplanade on the Clyde, this little cafe has been tempting locals for years now. Whether your driving by and fancy grabbing a tub of ice cream for home, or having a relaxing walk along the esplanade which would be all the better if it were accompied with a 99, this cafe should be your first stop. They sell their raspberry sause (which is the best I've ever had) by the bottle, and its only a QUID! Ace! They also have some of thee best ice cream this side of Italy with the Vanilla ice cream with Tablet being my favorite. They also do one with puff candy in it for you visiting yanks coming off of the cruise ships! If your passing through the inverclyde area its definitely worth a trip to this quaint little cafe for some of the best homemade, traditional italian ice cream you can buy.

Kilmacolm is doing alright on the cafe front these days…read more Tapa is I believe related to the original East end version which in ye olden days was a vegetarian place too but do not fear, they do meaty products (sausage/bacon breakfast rolls, sandwiches, pizzas). Lots of local traffic popping in for coffee and cakes, especially lots of cyclists so it can be difficult to get a seat. I've picked up take away cake from here before for friends and its went down well. There is usually one gluten free cake option. This time we visited just for coffee which was good. Order at the till, pay and staff will bring to your table. They also have a licence do organic wines available as well as innis and gunn on draft. Good addition to Kilmacolm and worth checking out.
