Unlike other painting places, this place has pre-sketched canvases that can guide you to paint a pretty picture. That is was stands out most to me, and what I love about this place. I believe they have classes as well, but you have to schedule an appointment for them. Many of their sketches vary from emojis, nature, characters like Harry Potter, unicorns, animals, all the great stuff! I believe the prices vary from $15-25, at least from what we painted. The workers there are very friendly and helpful! I'm not sure what the guy's name was, but he really helped turn my painting around! He taught me to play with the colors and adding contrast, and it really made a difference. Whenever you run out of paint, they are more than happy to get you more. They also give you another painting that you can try to replicate or add your own twist to it. They just started a stamp program, with every 4 purchases of a painting, you get the 5th one free! If you want to have a fun time for a cheap cost, come to paint monkey! I'll definitely be back and claim that free painting haha.

They offer several different classes throughout the year, so there's something for every age and every interest. Art supplies come with the tuition, and we have been very pleased with the courteous staff, knowledgeable teachers, and overall experience for our kids, who just love this place! It's great to see the kids learn new techniques as they attend the weekly after school sessions, and will most definitely continue having them enjoy this experience for years to come. Honestly, the only downside to this place is its popularity, which leads to occasional difficulties with leaving the parking lot, but it's a small price to pay for a very happy child who is encouraged to learn and create.

Attended a student art show last night with a friend who teaches a class at PCA. There were so fantastic pieces created by the adult students. The gift shop is still fantastic and filled with lots of unique items.

After brunch at Square cafe we needed to take a little walk and absorb some rays. It is a very serene setting and once they get the fountain running I may just come to sit and ponder. The building is so big and they offer many summer art classes so check out the website to see what they have. Events are held here all summer, mostly weddings. I went in to see the printmaking lab, I mostly do screenprinting but they don't have the light tables or screens here. The receptionist was so helpful and said that there would be printmaking classes over the summer and to call one of the directors to see what they might be able to do for me in regards to the type of medium I want to work with. If you need a place to do intaglio or relief printing they have a great space to print!

Out of nowhere my daughter asked to do ballet - I don't think she even knew what it was, but sure why not? A number of our neighbors take their children here and I'd heard positive things, so I signed her up. She LOVES it, and practices her plies all week. She's done gymnastics, martial arts and soccer at the JCC and hasn't taken to anything like she's taken to this. Holly, who teaches the class is just wonderful with the kids. Her teaching is totally appropriate for their level and the class is so much fun to watch. We also met the owner elsewhere in town, and liked her as well - very friendly and warm. The only issue I have is with the online registration, which is confusing, lengthy and frustrating. It's also the only option - you can't sign up on location. There is no confirmation that you are in the class - you just give them your credit card and show up and hope for the best. I would love to see this fixed. I really can't justify docking them a star for this though, because it's just a small detail.
