It has a very enjoyable caramel like taste and a modest pleasing aroma; it is clear and full bodied, with a thick consistency. It tastes great on its own (as a treat or maybe to ease a sore throat, any excuse really) but obviously may be used as a spread or drizzle. Someone has suggested using it on porridge, so we'll try that. It doesn't come cheap, costing well over a fiver for a 340gm jar and I bought mine at the Nash 19 Food Shop (attached to the well known restaurant in Prince's Street)

They were only €2 each, which seems amazing really. They were both fruit-nut combinations - one had plums on top while the other had rhubarb and the nuts were pistachio and almond. Both were delicious and I have to say I preferred them to the tart I tried from the Queen of Tarts in Dublin a few days later. Heaven's cakes tarts and pastries are a little more rustic looking but I actually prefer them that way. I'm also giving them 4/5 "green stars" for social and environmental impact. Here are some pros and cons: Pro: *You're supporting an independent, family-run business. *They provide a simple paper bag (preferable to boxes with plastic windows). *They appear to support community events like a healthy eating day at a local school Cons: *I don't know much about their ingredients - would be nice to know a few things, e.g., are eggs free range? The prices are moderate, but the staff is completely overstrained, when the nearby companies are on lunch break. The queues are much too long, the waiting time for a sandwich are extended. The food is good, not doubt about that. I had a toasted jumbo with brown bread, chicken, cheese and salad for € 5,50. Quite tasty with added salt. Do yourself a favour, don't come during lunch time. You may find a seat inside or, if the weather is nice, on the sidewalk in the emissions of the passing cars.

Their pies are so nice too, I tend to go to their city centre cafe where I find the staff to be nice and friendly. What I like about this place is that its not huge and impersonal ,they've another one in Blackrock which is wicked good also and has seats outside for those sunny day
