We used then 6 years ago because our pressure tank stopped working. They were out the same day. Fast forward, yesterday out well shorted out and they were back first thing this morning with a replacement. We had a week from plumbing hell that Ian, an angel from Corinth Plumbing, saved. OK, a big burley one. But he was impressive. Arriving early he replaced my well pressure tank (old, old, old) with a new tank and fittings, gave me a dope slap about keeping my water filter cleaned, and was on his way all in an hour for a fair price. there isn't a 0 star option otherwise I would put 0! i am a contractor and he was hired to do a job and wouldn't show up to do his rough ins and when he finally showed up he put the water lines in and never crimped them so when the other plump that was trustworthy showed up to turn the water on there was 10gals of water that destroyed the drywall was put in. he is lazy and cuts corners and will cost you more money by destroying houses. if I was anyone looking for a plump id steer clear of this company! read more

Great company my pump in my well quit this morning they were here 2 hours later all replaced got water thank u guys so much

My elderly neighbor lost her husband, and during the celebration of life her water stopped. She called Corinth plumbing and heating, they came out the next day told her that her well was dry. Since she had a second well all plumbed in the cellar he switched over to that well . He told her he would be back on the following Monday to see if the well had filled up or if she would need a new well. In the meantime she contacted another plumber who came and dropped a line down the well and found it had plenty of water. After hooking the line back up he still didn't have water. After checking he found the filter was totally plugged not allowing water to come through. After changing the filter she had water to this day Corinth plumbing and heating has never came back. I suppose I wouldn't either if I had just charged an elderly woman a big price and didn't really fix the problem other than changing over to the other well which took just a few minutes. I found a leak in my RV bathroom sink drain 1 day before we were scheduled to leave on a trip. I called and within 10 minutes Andy was at my home and within 1 hour it was fixed. he was upfront that he wasn't sure he would have that right size parts for the RV, but he made it work. very professional and appreciated. Had a leak from the sink that led to the basement. My husband is a tradesman and knows some plumbing but he even said that he didn't want to risk it. The worker came and did their job. Quick and easy. No issues. I do recommend the place. $150 is their minimum flat rate and an extra charge for any items. Not bad for a professional business. We expected it to be higher!! read more

I called four different people in the area. No one would return my calls. I called these folks in the morning with an emergency leak. Andy was here by the afternoon. He replaced our well tank, installed a new main valve, and re-plumbed 5 feet of copper pipe, refitted our water filter... $1088.50. They are 43 minutes away and it's very hard to find someone to do odd jobs like this. The work was fantastic and Andy definitely knows his trade. Hired this company to clean my furnace, he was here 1/2 hour and supposedly cleaned the furnace and a few days later I called the owner back, he was the person who supposedly cleaned it. I called to tell him we had no hot water, he was very annoyed I was bothering him. He said it could be a number of things and it was going to be expensive. By the way he owns another business selling water softeners, so he said I can sell you one of those for 1600.00 that might be my issue, I said I was not interested. So Our pipes burst in the early morning hours! Huge crisis. They made it to my house in under 15 minutes to stop the leak and repair the pipes. The second time I had them come out to do work was In the early summer and they hooked up all sinks and a dishwasher as well as the gas stove. I strongly recommend this business. First night in my house and I am new to Maine, the furnace broke and I could see my breath - it was mid-January. These people came out and complained the whole time and gave me some ridiculous surplus charge. Welcome to the neighborhood! Now they are refusing to help the previous owner with other work because there is a balance on MY bill, but they won't send me an invoice for me to pay it. They've been out to my house on three previous occasions with no issue. Last week, a cast iron portion of my drain pipe started leaking so I called them to take a look. Now they seem to have resorted to a form of extortion by practically not committing to doing the work unless you make it worth their while. Also, the younger guy that came to my house is frankly a pos that admits to animal cruelty (who admits to a potential client that they shoot bats with a .22?). I mean Jesus Christ is this the quality of people we have to deal with now? Are companies so desperate for warm bodies that they jeopardize business to hire just anyone? Businesses better be careful who they hire because if word gets around enough how badly they run things, they aren't going to have one here soon. read more

The bladder on our water storage tank failed leaving us without water. Busy time of year, many plumbers didn't answer phone or call back. Finally this guy did. Five days later he came and installed a new pump and tank. Wouldn't even consider replacing just the tank (looked at the pump & without losing a beat said "too old" even though still working well). We had told him our size of pump & tank over phone and he brought one with a much larger tank, oversized for our need. Set it up, got water running, left. He was happy to sell & install the expensive new equipment but didn't take the time to set the pressures or install the drain that we need at the bottom of the setup. So we had water, but pressures were not set so we had to do major research to figure out how to do it ourselves. He wouldn't even answer our communications with pressure questions. And we are still stuck with no way to drain the pump for winter. What he told us when he left was to "uninstall the entire set up" (maybe easy if you are a plumber with tools, not easy for us), "tip it upside down to drain it" (it is large and heavy), "and store it in the garage" (we don't have a garage). We have since built a shelter around the new pump but are still stuck to know how to drain for winter, probably need to pay for yet another plumber. Overall we got water, but his attitude was sell the new equipment, take the money and run, not take the time to set it up as needed. He took advantage of us to the tune of $1800+. So, this morning I woke up to the coldest night of the year with ZERO heat in my home. I called Corinth Plumbing and Heating & they were here within an hour. I had several things wrong with my furnace, thermostat, and frozen lines. They not only fixed everything, but they didn't charge me a ridiculous amount. They also recommended a special treatment for my oil that would prevent a future service call. Yes. They basically took money out of their own pockets by recommending this product to me to prevent them from having to come back again. I will NEVER go anywhere else for any of my plumbing and heating needs. read more

I had my house winterized and called them to come back to put all of the plumbing back together, made the appointment for a Friday in the afternoon. Friday afternoon past the appointment time, I had to call the owner because no one had showed up. He said his worker was unfreezing some pipes and then had another place to go after that and would not get to mine on that day. Ok, that was fine but really, a call would have been nice so that I wouldn't have to miss work. He said he would see if his worker would do it on Saturday. He called back and said he would be there on Saturday afternoon. The worker was 10 minutes late but he did the job in a timely manner. When I was given the amount for the bill it was $20 more that is should have been. He said because it was an emergency call for working on a Saturday. WHAT... No mention was made of that in the phone call with the owner the day before, I thought they were just making up some time from the missed appointment on Friday. They charged me extra when they were a no show on Friday! I should have charged them $50 for my time I spent the day before for the no show. read more

Scam Artists. My husband and I just purchased a house and in the P&S the septic system needed to be repaired: replaced D-box, jetter service, 4 x 8' lengths of piping replaced, septic tank emptied and new filter. When we moved in a month later, the septic tank cover was hidden in the ground and we couldn't find it. Two months after we moved in we noticed some fluid leakage near the house and were concerned that there might be a crack in pipes somewhere or some other issue so we wanted to find out and address it asap. We called Corinth Plumbing and Heating because they were the ones that did the work 3 months ago, they said it would be $85 to just come out to find it. The next day, Friday, a younger guy came out and couldn't find the tank.. They claim to have emptied it and replaced a filter 3 months ago and they can't remember where they did work? We were concerned that the fluid was overflow but couldn't understand how two people could fill it up so quickly as it had only been 3 months since they emptied it. The guy said the filter in the tank is probably clogged, but they just put in a new one (supposedly)  and that it is very easy for two people to fill a 1000 gallon tank. It was all very sketchy. He called his boss, but had to walk about 20 feet away to quietly speak with him (why so secretive?) and said the boss could come out to try to find it. We asked if he could come out on Monday, and he said he could come tomorrow (Saturday) (No mention of extra charge). Great. The boss came out on Saturday with about a 250 gallon truck (our tank is a 1000 gallon) we asked him not to park the truck near our well (didn't want any sewage to drip near the well) and he ignored our request and parked near the well. He said he couldn't remember where the tank was either, poked around with a rod for a while, my husband did some digging to try to find the cover, they guy gave up after about 30 min, said he could come out with a camera for $750 to try to find it from the pipe in the house. He also said repairing pipes could cost thousands of dollars ( he actually mentioned $50,000 as the high end possibility!) When he gave us the slip for the service for that day it was $275! He charged $90 to come out and $185 for two hours of work! When we told him he wasn't here for 2 hours, he said he charges for travel (Corinth is 25 min away).. And when we told him we thought it was $85 to come out, he said there is an extra charge for coming out on the weekend. No one ever told us that. The icing on the cake is that we had a different company come out who had serviced the place 9 years ago before the last owners, he told us that the fluid we had leaking was laundry water and had a good idea where the tank was. He found it after poking around for about 20 min and when he opened it up, the tank was filled to within 6 inches of the top with a very old thick layer of sludge. When he heard that Corinth claimed to have emptied the tank 3 months ago, this new guy said, "No way it was emptied 3 months ago with all that sludge even with a clogged filter!"  When we told this guy who they were, he had several stories of others who came to him after Corinth who had been scammed into paying loads of money for something that shouldn't have cost that much. The guys at Corinth Plumbing and Heating are scam artists. They charged the previous owners $300 to empty a tank they never emptied and in which they could not have changed a filter for $87.50 (tank has to be emptied to change the filter). They overcharged for a visit in which they did nothing, and if we had them come out again to continue the search for the tank I have no doubt that they would have come up with other made up stories to charge us thousands of dollars for. And now we don't even know if they did the other work legitimately. Imagine us trying to go another 4 years without emptying the tank thinking it was emptied! Do not use these guys...unless you want to be scammed out of hundreds or thousands of dollars, never mind time lost and stress! read more

Nothing but good things to say about Corinth. Our submersible pump failed on a Thursday afternoon. They sent a plumber early Friday who replaced the pump (200 ft deep) under very muddy (!) conditions.
