I've been going to this vet clinic for over 20 years. In the past 5 or so years, it's really gone down hill. They don't answer phone calls or follow up, the staff seems annoyed by you asking questions and recently I had an AWFUL experience with Candy - one of the receptionists followed by a phone call with the clinic manager who brushed me off and said I must've had a bad day. That was the last straw for me. I will not take my animals where I am treated like an inconvenience. It's really disappointing how down hill this whole place has gone. read more

I can't say enough about this office. I brought my puppy there for her spay and Dr Edward's was wonderful! She never made me feel rushed . Most importantly, was not condescending at all. Very warm. She also saw my 14 yo cat for vaccine and check up. 7 months later my cat started not eating . I called and was seen right away with Dr Gardner . Blood work was drawn and was completely normal. He suspected lymphoma. He hydrated her and gave her vitamin b12. I was hoping she was going to get better, but, her symptoms her similar to my cat who passed from cancer. Today we brought her in for euthanasia. Dr Kelver and the vet tech were so nice and compassionate it made it easier on me. I'm so glad I made to move to this practice. read more

This is an assembly line clinic with different vets and techs every day. No one ever answers the phone and sometimes you get a call back if you leave a message. They neutered my dog bc of a prostate infection that was not cleared up by their 1st medicine choice. I was not informed of the damage neutering would do to my adult dog. He is very fearful of other dogs and has worsening skin issues. They did not email me records I requested. They have a portal for documents with no link on the website. They switched apps and did not add my email so I can't use it. read more

The best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. Everyone I encountered, from receptionist to technician to veterinarian, was especially bright and friendly. Remarkably so, really. I arrived extra early for my appointment because my ride showed up an hour before expected. They were so understanding and accommodated me quickly without losing an ounce of good cheer and good will. The vet I saw, Dr. Nicole Kelver, is not only an ivy-league educated doctor of veterinary medicine, she's also president of the Buffalo Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She exudes both the highest air of professionalism and a kind and open heart, a combination rarely found in any business setting these days. Dr. Kelver personally owns both a dog and a cat, and therefore has personal insight and compassion to offer a majority of pet owners who will need her expertise. I drive from Orchard Park just to come here, they are worth the drive. I am 100% confident my animals will get the absolute best care. We have been using Corfu/Darien vet for many years now and it frustrates us that even making the effort to call ahead for pricing on services to be performed, when leaving it's always much much more!!! Of course they are friendly and do treat our pets well, so we have continued to return in hopes Dr. Mark Gardner would remedy the problems, but instead each and every time they blame it on new employees...not believable when you enlist the office manager and still get charged more...so just be prepared to pay MORE than your told! Have been bringing all of my pets here for years. Recently had my 10+ year old papillon in for oral surgery due to a cracked molar. He had his teeth cleaned and ended up needing more teeth extracted than just the molar. The cost of the surgery ended up being less than the low end of estimate I was given. I really can't say enough about this place. I have only been there twice (last Monday and Tuesday), but I was so impressed that I would recommend them to anyone within a hundred miles of Corfu. Incredibly kind and professional staff, from the receptionist to the doctors. My mother in law asked me to take her and her dog in on Monday; the dog had had trouble standing, and she thought that a cortisone shot might help. We phoned at 10 when they opened and got an appointment for 11:30. When we got there, the dog could not step down from the car. Two staff members came out and helped me get him in. People came out from behind the desk and greeted the dog and my mother in law by name. When we got to the exam room and met with the doctor, he looked at the dog's gums and other physical symptoms and realized that the dog was bleeding internally and did not have much time left. The way he broke the news to my mother in law was so incredibly kind, yet straightforward. No false hope...and he got teary when my mother-in-law started to cry. She wanted to take him home, and we did. The dog hardly made it through the night, and we took him back the next day. To say that we were treated like family doesn't really begin to cover it. The dog was fussed over (as was my mother-in-law) and every detail was covered with such professionalism and grace. They made an impossibly emotional situation so much easier to bear because of the way they handled things. My mom passed away many years ago, and she was under Hospice care, and I honestly think that the staff at Corfu/Darien Veterinary Clinic did a MUCH better job helping a family through the letting-go and grief process than Hospice did. I'm not knocking Hospice, I'm just trying to convey how wonderful the people at this office are. It's clear that this is much more than a job to each of them. I could not be more impressed and grateful for this place. Incredibly classy and comforting. read more

I cannot recommend this vet highly enough. Their staff is knowledgeable and kind, and are quick to address any problems. We take all four of our cats there. Last December, I found my cat unable to walk and in a great deal of pain. I rushed him in at noon on Saturday: even though they were technically closed, they let me bring him in when I described his condition. When they realized he needed to be kept at the hospital, Dr. Robinson offered to sacrifice his own time to monitor him over the next couple days (the clinic is not an emergency care facility and does not normally offer 24/7 care). Ultimately, he passed away within the next few hours, but the care and compassion shown by the staff here was incredible. I received a very sweet note in the mail the next Monday that I still can't read without tearing up. These people love animals and will do everything in their power to provide exceptional care at a very reasonable price. read more
