Subject: URGENT: Formal Complaint Regarding Account Mismanagement - [Your Full Name]…read moreTo the Branch Manager, U.S. Bank (Shawnee Mission Pkwy): I am writing to formally express my frustration regarding a series of recent account changes and the lack of professional follow-up from your branch. The Issue: This past summer, my savings account was transitioned to a "Smartly Savings" account by your staff. I was told this would be beneficial due to interest rates; however, it was never disclosed to me that this change would eliminate the fee-waiver benefit previously provided by my U.S. Bank credit card. I have been charged maintenance fees as a direct result of this lack of transparency. Lack of Resolution: On December 30, 2025 (2 weeks ago): I visited the branch and spoke with a female teller. I was told you were unavailable, but that she would relay the information to you for a fee credit. During this visit, my checking was also moved to a "Smartly Checking" account. On January 14, 2026 (Today): I returned to the branch and was told nearly the exact same thing by a male teller--that you were out of the office and he would "get back to me." Required Action: As a long-standing client with multiple accounts at U.S. Bank, I find these business practices unacceptable. I am requesting the following be completed by Wednesday, January 21, 2026: A full reversal/credit of all maintenance fees charged since the transition to the "Smartly" accounts. A definitive confirmation of my account structures and how fees will be waived moving forward. A direct conversation or written response from the Branch Manager regarding the status of these corrections. Please consider this my final attempt to resolve this at the branch level. If I do not hear back by the date above, I will be forced to close all of my accounts and move my funds to a different institution. I look forward to your prompt response. Sincerely,
