Pilates is a great addition to any workout regimen. I'm a fan of Mat Pilates, but an even bigger fan of Pilates with Reformer machines and the "Trap." This studio will have muscles you didn't even know existed wincing in pain the next day, but it's all worth it.
I researched a few other studios in the area and this one won out because 1. It offers semi-private lessons at a (fairly) reasonable price. Since you can be training with up to three other people, you don't have to pay as much as you would at a smaller studio. 2. It's clean and has a very Zen-like atmosphere. It's a small space, but wonderfully decorated and very Feng Shui. 3. The instructors are awesome! I've only had Paige (she is great, very funny and super gorgeous, will work you out girlfriend!), Val (she is funny and a bit more hardcore in her training, is tall and willowy, lucky girl), and Deana (the owner, she is amaaaaazing, she will work you out hardcore). I don't think you can go wrong with any of the instructors, really, and the schedules are pretty flexible, always a plus. 4. This really was the cincher for me. Deana sets out fruit, or hand wipes, or little other goodies for the members. How cute is that? I think it's so thoughtful and shows the love and passion that went into creating a place such as this.
Bottom line: If you want to whip your abs and body into shape, try this place out. You'll see a difference in about 10 sessions. It will sculpt and tighten your body in places that other workouts won't accomplish. read more
