I was having problems with my achilles tendons and my knees. I was struggling just to walk and had even bought a cane and was taking Aleve almost every day. I wanted to try physical therapy to see if it could help. So I went to Core Physical Therapy in the loop to get an evaluation. After I spoke with Jeff Bitter one of the therapist there, I gained insight as to what was probably causing my difficulties and what kind of techniques and exercises would be best for me. I was able to start that very same week. Making appointments are easy and the schedule is very flexible. I was able to do sessions during my lunch break twice a week. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They really motivate you as you're going through the exercises. I did an eight week course of therapy which seems nothing compare to the eight months of pain I'd been dealing with that had made me drop out of playing badminton and going to the gym. I've not had to use any medication for my knees or ankles in over a month. My balance is much improved helping me feel more aligned when I walk. I am more aware of the muscle movements needed in walking and the key corrections Jeff showed me, have made me feel less like an invalid. I highly recommend Core Physical Therapy to anyone needing help getting their mobility back. read more

I can't say enough good things about Nick. I have completed two rounds of treatment with Nick over the last few years (I'm accident prone). First time was for a broken ankle (fall from bouldering) that required surgery and most recently for a torn rotator cuff (not related to bouldering). I always looked forward to my appointments. Both times, he got me back into bouldering in better shape than before the injuries. Great bedside manner. Really cares about his patients and their progress. You can see his excitement when a patient turns a corner. His treatments are fun and effective. I incorporate so many of the exercises he gave me into my own workouts even after I have completed PT. He's also very responsive to emails and always answers my questions, no matter how silly they may seem. Core Physical Therapy as a clinic has been great as well. Easy to work with, helpful, and flexible. They took care of all my insurance matters for me. I didn't have to do anything but make the appointments and show up. I recommend him and Core Physical Therapy to everyone I know that need physical therapy. I also wanted to give a shout out to Gabby, one of the exercise specialists I worked with the most. She was always fun and good for some laughs. She even played Eye of the Tiger for me when I was feeling silly. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Jason Kart and Core Physical Therapy. When I needed PT while recovering from a broken leg, the first places that I visited were crowded with a lot of people on exercise machines and 1 or 2 physical therapists walking around supervising. Not so at Core, it's one-on-one and with a great staff who are very personable. On the first visit, Jason perform a thorough exam to identify which muscles needed the most focus and then customized the physical therapy sessions to strengthen my leg and regain muscle control. Core's personalized focus was especially helpful in motivating me to work hard and concentrate on improvement. I found Dr. Kart to be very knowledgeable and my surgeon deferred to Jason's judgment on the needed physical therapy. I am a very active and was quite frustrated by my lack of mobility. The goal I set at the onset on my PT was to be recovered enough to participate in RAGBRAI, a 440 mile bicycle ride across Iowa. Core helped me achieve this goal, which I am happy to report, was successfully completed last week. read more

(Hinsdale Orthopaedics has to be the WORST medical practice I have EVER been to, but they DID refer me to a really exceptional Physical Therapist) Honestly, I can't say enough good about this Core Physical Therapy (in general) and the therapist I had (Jeff Bitters, specifically). I was treated with respect and concern, by someone who has a thorough understanding of the field. Given the correct exercises to help alleviate the (lower back) problems I was having (it's Hell getting old!) and enough repetition and coaching to be sure I knew how to do them correctly, you don't "fix" the problem I have without surgery, but I found you CAN manage it, and make it a LOT better. Wish my schedule allowed me to go much longer and more often, but I still definitely got more than I expected from the experience. This is a stellar facility with a top-notch staff - you get their FULL attention for the totality of your session, and that is something you DON'T get everywhere. read more

I have just completed about 15 weeks of physical therapy at the Core Physical Therapy in Novi Michigan during a pandemic. The staff took care to clean stations and keep us as safe as possible. Jim Watson and Kristin Alvira worked with me after a traumatic fracture to my knee and consequently a injury to the opposite foot. I have progressed from barely walking to good mobility. I still have a ways to go but have the tools to make the best recovery I can. I now am walking 1 to 2 miles a day. I appreciated discussion of what I can do on my own now utilizing gym facilities to strengthen muscles. I can't express enough that the staff was genuinely interested in my progress and mental well-being. Tony one of the assistants usually was in charge of me until Jim or Kris met with me. He was very kind. I also appreciate that if struggling now on my own I was encouraged to reach out. Thanks for your help. Cathy B read more

Skip going to any national chains (Athletico, ATI) and go to Core Physical Therapy. The ease of scheduling, friendliness of staff, and convenient Chicago locations will now make this place my go-to. A week before leaving for an international trip with outdoor activities, Nick Barin, Caitlin Kremer, and staff quickly and accurately identified the source of pain and developed a plan. I've received exercises that I was able to take abroad to help with a running injury and followed up afterward to continue with exercises and ways to prevent re-injury. It's great to see the staff genuinely love their job, are knowledgeable and passionate about physical therapy, going for the extra mile, and willing to answer any questions. They will give you all the knowledge and training to hopefully prevent seeing you for the same injury. This is something you won't find at any national chains. read more

Had several sessions with Dr. Kart regarding a persistent IT band issue. He was the first to pinpoint the problem and help resolve it. Dr. Kart helped me regain the ability to stand for longer periods of time. I tried other physical therapy locations (Athletico and Accelerated) and was surprised by the small amount of time I actually spent with the Physical Therapist. At Core, I had Dr. Kart's complete and undivided attention. I'm sure this is what made the difference. The chance to spend time with a therapist who listens and is genuinely interested in helping you get better is very not very common today. I have recommended Dr. Kart to several friends and family and I know they also have been very pleased. His online scheduling makes it easy to plan appointments and he is prompt at returning emails. You will not be disappointed by Dr. Kart and Core Physical Therapy. read more

I would highly recommend Core PT, in particular Caitlin, for all of your PT needs. I injured my IT band roughly 4 weeks before I was scheduled to run in the Chicago marathon and Caitlin was able to get me back up to speed quickly and efficiently in order to run the marathon. As an added plus, I was shocked to have zero knee pain after running the race. I would also recommend Core in that you get an individualized plan and attention that I have not seen with other providers - each visit is roughly 30 minutes one on one with a physical therapist followed by another 30 minutes of exercises supervised by a physical therapist technician that works with no more than two patients at a time. I was extremely impressed by the expertise and care I received from Caitlin and the Core office and I would not hesitate to give them my highest recommendation. read more

I would highly recommend Core PT to anyone who needs it. After being in an accident that resulted in an AC joint separation in my shoulder I was feeling pretty sour and was unable to do almost anything with my left arm. After a month I finally scheduled an appointment with Jason and I wish that I had started sooner! I was very pleased with my sessions, and Jason along with Kacie and Jeff were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and ultimately very helpful.Honestly I always looked forward to coming in to work on my shoulder and enjoyed their company. I am very happy with my progress and before I was done Jason was able to provide me additional info on what I can do to further help my injuries and what I can expect in the future. If anything else ever happens (hopefully not) I will definitely not hesitate to come back to Core PT! read more

I ended up here on a 6 month old shoulder injury upon the recommendation of my chiropractor Dr. Chris Bocci at Loop Chiropractic & Sports Injury. My experience here has been very positive. Jeff Bitter was my Physical Therapist and he did everything right and I can't thank him and the owner Jason enough. They have helped me get my active life back on track. I can say that after 5 months of going I feel I have reached my potential and without their help I would not have gotten here. The staff are incredibly sensitive to all your needs and will continue to help you even after you have finished. I highly recommend them if you are ever in need of Physical Therapy of any time. They are super convenient being in the Loop. I am very satisfied with the work that they have done. read more

I began working with Steve Goostree after being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis by my podiatrist. He was highly recommended as the physical therapist to work with because of his work in dry-needling. I continued to work with Steve after my plantar fasciitis was cured because I had been hit by a car and broken bones in my foot/ankle and torn ligaments in my knee. Steve is always professional, patient-focused, and hands-on. He is patient, a good listener, and creative problem-solver. Therapy with Steve was a combination of exercises, bike/treadmill training, physical manipulation, and dry-needling. Steve made PT comfortable, yet challenging, and always manageable. Had I required further physical therapy after my surgery, I would surely have looked Steve up again. read more

I went to Core Physical Therapy for 8 sessions for minor knee pain and worked with Caitlin Kremer. Although I can't evaluate CPT based on pain reduction or mobility improvement due to my minor pain (only reason I didn't give it 5 stars), I can say I was very pleased with them overall. Caitlin was very knowledgeable regarding my knee discomfort and did a great job of educating me. She was also a pleasure to work with and provided me with a good maintenance program to continue at home. If I unfortunately need to go back to physical therapy for any reason, then I would definitely go back to see Caitlin. For anyone else that might be looking for someplace downtown and close to work, I recommend giving CPT a try. Tom read more

I came to Core Physical Therapy with nagging hip pain related to marathon training. Caitlin was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She helped me identify areas of weakness, worked with me to strengthen and stabilize, and came up with exercise modifications when my impressively inflexible muscles couldn't handle the heat. I don't think I would have made it through the marathon without her knowledge, expertise, and all of the strength and flexibility work that the sessions forced me to do :) Additionally, all of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Scheduling is easy and convenient, and I was able to find early/late hours to accommodate my work schedule. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here. Charging $275 for a 30-minute session sets a very high expectation, and unfortunately, the quality of care didn't come close. After three weeks of treatment, my condition is actually worse than when I started. On top of that, the office is very disorganized with scheduling. One of my appointments was mixed up, and instead of taking responsibility, the staff shifted the blame onto me--which is both frustrating and unprofessional. At this price point, I expect attentive care, real progress, and basic professionalism. None of that was delivered. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. -Pamela read more

I am so thankful for Dr. Kart at Core Physical Therapy. I have suffered with some back and hip pain ever since a back surgery 3 years ago and have seen countless therapists to try to help. Dr. Kart made an effort to make the most of my time and wasn't interested in how many visits I had but was truly only interested in getting me better and on my way - he excitedly wrote a letter to my physician letting him know about my progress and that I had finished therapy earlier than expected. He always paid attention to what I had to say about how I was feeling and about what did or didn't work, and was able to help me feel better than I have in years! read more

I can't thank Jason enough for how much he helped me through 2 different injuries/issues over the past 2 years. He is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I always appreciated how he really took the time with me to walk me through the process and treatment. He more than just answers questions- he wants his patients to understand how injuries occur and what they can do to heal or repair. I learned something new in every session. The one on one attention at Core Physical Therapy is truly unique. Jason helped me learn so much about awareness of how I use my body to avoid repeated injuries and further complications. I am so grateful for his help! read more

Core PT is conveniently located and easily accessible. The facility itself is clean and the staff is professional. Nick specifically treated my when I was prescriber PT for my Plantar Fasciitis, and I couldn't have asked for a better result. For about a year it was difficult to walk, let alone exercise in the morning and throughout the day. Nick was able to show me strength and balance exercises to help with the area in pain, as well as to strengthen all of the other components. After just six weeks, I'm living almost completely pain free. Overall, the results exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend Core PT to anyone in need! read more

I'm not sure where to even start. Jason is an amazing person and an even better physical therapist. I had been struggling with shoulder pain for 5 months and had been misdiagnosed by doctors and after one visit with Jason he was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and how to go about getting better. After two months with Jason the shoulder pain is nearly gone and I have regained the strength I lost. If you are looking for a physical therapist who genuinely cares for their patients I would highly recommend going to Core Physical Therapy as I truly believe there is no better clinic in Chicago. read more

Couldn't be happier with the treatment I received from Jason and his team. I was very impressed with the progress I saw from my sessions and the at-home workouts he designed. Furthermore, they're honest and straightforward with their patients. Ask questions and they'll answer. Need to change an appointment? Just reach out. Need to schedule appointments around the rest of your life? They have tons of options. I'd definitely recommend Core Physical Therapy, and Jason specifically, to anyone who is looking for a PT - and if I ever need one again he'll be at the top of my list. read more
