I am extremely picky about gyms and who I want training me. I am not into the yelling and…read morebelittling mentality. After years of searching, I have found the perfect balance to a trainer and workout facility. The staff are professionals that LOVE what they are doing. They practice what they teach. So many years working out and I am still learning, tweaking, and realizing I have been doing sets all wrong. After a double mastectomy and COVID I struggle with weight gain, motivation and frustration. Now I am focusing on getting my strength back. The rest will come. Now, what I said dealt with the coaches and staff, but the members are just as motivating and encouraging. Only serious athletes need to apply. You will be pushed and encouraged. You will struggle and your crown will be fixed. You will reach goals you never thought you could--- at any age or size.

Coach Sienna is another incredible coach and is so creative when it comes to specialty workouts. Coach Steve is also so much fun and plays great music. Coach Giuliana is also another fantastic coach! Coach Manny is also really motivating. Abby is such a great leader for all the locations and creates amazing opportunities for all the members to enjoy together. We are blessed to have them all on our fitness journey. The community my husband and I have created here is something we are thankful for everyday. We work out as a couple and during our class we have met so many other couples doing the same. I love how like minded the members are...we care about our health and the work outs never get boring because they switch it up everyday. Had a fantastic time at OTF Tamiami a few weeks ago for my 8AM workout with Coach Dez! I was in…read moretown from Chicago for my cousin's wedding and decided to have my first out-of-state OTF experience about 2 miles from my hotel. I was about 30 minutes early and I was the first one there, and even caught the staff off guard because they had walked in maybe 30 seconds before I did. They took care of me fairly quickly; I just had to fill out a waiver since it was my first time at that studio. I was an idiot and forgot my water bottle at the hotel and my heart monitor in Chicago so I had to fork over $6 for a water and a monitor rental, but it's okay. Coach Dez came in a few minutes later and I was quickly introduced to her. She is very warm and friendly, and the energy just radiates off of her both in and out of the studio. She gave me a quick tour of the studio which was a lot bigger than my studio in Chicago. After that, I was just chilling until the class started at 8AM. I won't say much about the workout itself. OTF pulls from a variety of pre-existing workouts so I can't really factor that into my review, as that experience is likely to be consistent throughout all the OTFs you go to. However, I can't help but rave about Coach Dez. As I said earlier, she radiates this energy that was just fantastic and super motivating throughout the entire workout. There was never a dull moment in her voice and the smile never disappeared off of her face. She came up to individual people, including myself, making gentle corrections on form and led the workout with enthusiasm and grace. She also made a lot of small talk and silly jokes which I appreciated, as that break in format prevented the workout from sounding like a straight manufactured fitness video, which some OTF coaches do admittedly sound like. Overall, I had a great experience at OTF Tamiami and if I'm ever in the area again I will do my best to make it out to another class by Dez! They have certified trainers very nice and willing to work with you at your own pace. I started with a free class last Thursday and will continue to go during the week according to my schedule. For now, I believe they don't offer classes over the weekend. The place is fairly new so I imagine that this will happen some time in the near future. Compared to other places within the area their price is affordable. Currently, you pay 8 months for $100 and get the other 4 months free. No contracts so you can drop from the place whenever you want without penalties.

The sauna was not on and warming up for my allotted time...instead it took 20 min of the hour session to get to optimal heat setting. Also, the room has windows with shades that were pulled down for privacy BUT there is also a camera in the room so I didn't feel comfortable dropping past my undies...normally it's a birthday suit kinda deal so you can sweat sweat sweat... Bring your own towels (2) one to sit on and one to use for wiping sweat away. The sauna is nice and new with light therapy and several programs like detoxification etc...perfect for sitting but no laying down or stretching out during session. Overall, if I lived closer I would be going to their classes and would use the sauna on a regular basis. Very nice staff.

What I have always liked about this…read moregym is that most people come here to work out, none of that pick-up/socializing stuff going on at other gyms. it's a decent gym and personal training is much cheaper than other places. Not the most modern of equipment but it will do the trick. I don't like the hours too much. As of this writing expect a close down at 10pm and Saturdays until 4pm, even shorter for Sunday. Right now $30.00 a month gets you a no-nonsense monthly membership with no contracts or scams. Parking can be a challenge here as they share the space with a Sedanos supermarket.
