I went there to put a bit of glue on the plastic soles of my summer shoes that were unsticked . I paid these shoes about $50 the year before... I didn't want to throw them away so I thought that'd be a good way to encourage local businesses and keep this pair a bit longer.
The guy was trying to upsell me which is Okay to me if that's worth it. He said the glue wouldn't be enough and he'd rather sew the sole after gluing it because it'll be stronger and look nice. Total was $30, $20 for the glue and $10 for sewing the soles... Problem is result is kind of crappy, doesn't look like quality work and I had to wash the glue he left all over my shoes...(see pic)
Next time I'll skip the local business encouragement and by a new pair! read more
