I never could have imagined that one comment would cause such a stir!. I've now given the almighty and anointed real estate agent Gina Cornelison the 5 stars she deserved. Please forgive me for the error! Apparently fewer than 5 stars are unacceptable on Yelp, so I am now giving her all 5. But before my comment is "flagged" and placed in the naughty box, I have this to say: I find it very amusing that only one Yelp comment had ever been made about Perry and Company before I posted about my own negative experience with Gina. This comment was a compliment about another agent named Mary. Now, after posting my negative comment, there are suddenly not one, but five glowing comments, not about Perry and Company in general, not about any of their several other agents, but FIVE glowing comments about Gina! I find this particularly amusing because my own negative comment was "filtered," and placed out of sight, before most of these "individuals" even placed these comments. Isn't it a bit odd that, before my negative comment, only one person had ANYTHING to say about this company, and this comment happened to be a compliment of another agent? I understand that the owner of the property that I tried to rent will make a counter-comment to back up his own friend and agent. That makes perfect sense to me. I just find it odd that 5 others happened to do the same thing in a 24 hour period, especially when they were no longer even able to view my negative comment. It isn't possible that these comments were rigged, is it? Nah..I didn't think so. First of all, that would be unprofessional and, second of all, Yelp is supposed to filter those out, right? Regarding my own comment: I am sorry that my personal experience with this individual was a negative one. The fact of the matter, however, is that this was MY experience, and the straight-up truth. I am not speaking for anyone but myself. I am not implying that Gina is a bad individual, or a bad real estate agent, but only that I had a negative experience personally. Isn't the purpose of an "objective" rating system to give everyone an opportunity to share their own experiences, positive or negative? It is a fact of life that some people will have positive experiences and others will have negative ones. No intelligent person will judge someone based solely upon one negative review. Apparently however, it is against the terms of service of Yelp to post anything that might not be exactly what people want to hear. With that said, who really needs Yelp anyway? Apparently, as biased as this site is, I would get just as "accurate" information about a business by simply skipping Yelp altogether, and viewing the business' own website directly! Oh...and before filtering my comment, please let it be known that I have now said my piece and this is the last anyone will hear from me about Gina, Perry and Company, or any other business on Yelp for that matter, because I really don't have time for individuals who refuse to hear the truth, and choose to sweep any negativity under the carpet. That is exactly what happened by filtering my comment. OK......go ahead and filter it now. You know you want to :) I did give you those 5 stars, though. ;) That's really all life is about anyway, right? read more
