The instructor, Maureen Slabaugh, is certified by the Royal Academy of Dance to teach under their Silver Swans model and does an outstanding job of making the class work for both absolute beginners as well as dancers with some level of experience. Currently classes are offered two days a week. I enrolled two years ago and really wonder why I didn't find out about Silver Swans years ago!! I hadn't taken a ballet class in at least 25 years and I simply love it! Highly recommend.

You can come early before the show and place your blanket down on the hillside to reserve your spot. It is a great location to watch an outdoor performance or show. The Zilker Hillside is an outdoor amphitheater venue located on a hillside in Zilker Park with a large stage, ample lighting capability, amenities, and location next to Barton Springs Pool and is the perfect spot for a dance recital, symphony or cultural event. Visitors are allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. The theater also has a concessions stand on site offering snacks and drinks. There are restrooms available. No dogs are allowed unless they are service dogs.

We brought a small picnic to enjoy and lots of people brought food they ordered to eat before/during the show. The sound quality and level is excellent. We were more off to the right side on the stage and could still see fairly well and could hear everything perfectly. They do have plenty of trash cans around so please clean up after yourself. At the merch/sales table they have programs and surveys that help them with data for grants and benefits by showing who makes up their expansive audience. The night I was there they did a drawing for a gift card if you filled out an information slip and I actually won a BookPeople gift card! Please buy something/tip/add money to the actors buckets that come around so that they can continue to provide awesome, quality free entertainment to the community. It's not always an easy watch, but it's meaningful and worth it. I felt every character and it truly had me breaking into tears. Getting tickets at "will call" was easy. The Libby had lots of seating. Tables and chairs, and small lounge couches. There was a young women singing on a small stage with a guitar. Played a few songs that we all knew. And charmed us with her own original song. Beautiful voice. There is a small bar in the back. I did get a small cocktail and a box of popcorn. The auditorium room had wonderful seats. It looks like row K is the best seat because they have like a small bar like table in front of you. The chairs don't have cupholders. So you end up having to hold everything or place on the floor. No one obstruct your view from the stage. Every seat is a good seat. Parking is easy. I paid $15.00 and found parking easily. I was also a little early for the show. I just started following ZACH on IG to see up coming shows. If you want to see this show, they did say they are extending to May. I hope you come see the show and support the local theater.

On September 11, 2001, Gander International Airport in Newfoundland, Canada took in 38 commercial flights numbering almost 7000 passengers in response to the 911 bombings & the US closing its airspace. The a tiny town of Gander welcomed them with open arms and fed them, provided housing and clothes over the course of 4 days. It's a heartwarming story and leaves hope for the best of humanity and connection. The cast and protection were great. Adding to that is Celtic bluegrass music and an infectious enthusiasm. I highly recommend it. Running through September 27th. 1 hour 40 minute production, no intermission.

John Maverick = silly, goofy, awesome magician!…read more We hired Mr Maverick for our daughter's 4th magical fairy birthday and let me tell you...his magic tricks were great! The kids ate it up...lots of comedy in his act and the parents enjoyed it just as much as the kiddos. But his best trick by far was the fact that he kept 20 four year olds engaged, seated on a blanket, laughing non-stop and totally amazed for 30 whole minutes! David Copperfield couldn't do that. This guy is GREAT! Highly recommend.

He's quick witted without being condescending or mean, even when being heckled unkindly. All three of my kids (ages 11, 13, and 15) enjoyed his show at our church, and he made a point of ensuring the kids were as engaged as the adults. At the Faire he drew quite the diverse crowd at both shows I went to. At one he was repeatedly propositioned by an older woman clearly into her cups; he handled the situation with wit and grace. In short, he's clearly a professional performer and very good at what he does.
