We bought a winter coat for my mom for her birthday. When she put the hood up on her head, it fell way down on her face and she couldn't see. I checked out the alteration shops in town and decided to call Coralie's. She got back in touch with me and my mom and I went to show her the hood. Cora lie wasn't sure how she was going to fix it, but said she would figure it out. Well, she did! It was done in a short time ( a week or so) and we went for mom to try it on. Coralie did an excellent job! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to my friends or family and I will definitely call her if I have something more for her to fix for me. When I called about getting a swimsuit bottom altered to add ruching, she was a little rude on the phone, and sounded like she wasn't sure why someone would do that, or that she wasn't confident or happy to do it. When I can in, she was explaining to a different customer that she was losing business due to the snow blocking her parking. (She also didn't greet me). Up until now, I was still willing to give her a try. When it was my turn, I told her I was the one who called about the swim suit and told her what I wanted done. She said people don't usually do that because the alteration costs more than the swimsuit, and that she would have to cut it open to do it. She still sounded not confident, and even though I was nice this whole time, I asked if she felt confident in her ability to do so, because she sounded so annoyed. She snapped at me that she had been doing this for 30 years so of course she was confident. She told me to go put it on so she could start marking it up, but as I stood in the dressing room, I decided I didn't want her to do it and left. I also looked it up online on how to do it (because I was sure it was just adding a piece of elastic), and it CAN be done without cutting by using elastic, which is what I wanted. I went to Kesh alterations instead and he was very nice, did a great job for a great price, and I even tipped him extra. This lady was soooo rude to me. If you are hurting for customers, try being nicer to the ones who come in. If I want to pay money to get my swimsuit altered because I am self conscious of my small unshapely tush, don't make me feel stupid about it. Just no. I hardly ever get things altered, and I had bought like 5 suits online trying to find one that for for my trip to Mexico soon, and I couldn't get the top and bottoms of the same suit to fit at the same time. I knew the suit was a weird ask, but it's your job to alter things at a customers request, if the ask is reasonable and doable. Kesh did it perfectly, and didn't make me feel bad. He was grateful for my business, and I was grateful for his service. read more
