Stanley's Service is Superb!…read more Here's why: My friend created these awesome journals that he wanted printed. He had been quoted $40 per book. He was frustrated, stressed and annoyed. He wanted the books printed quickly because he planned to use them for a course he organized that would start in less than a week. He needed help and because I make an amazing assistant and love to help people I offered to search for a company that would fulfill his dream. I immediately jumped on yelp and requested a quote from a dozen local print companies. When it comes to print jobs I like to work with locals so I can see and hold the work, plus I don't have to deal with shipping. Windward Graphics was the second one to respond to me. He gave me an estimate and said I could come in the next day by 5pm. Well I didn't get off of work till guess what time... yup 5pm. I yelp messaged him and asked if there was anyway to meet during the weekend. Mind you their office is closed on the weekends, but he said "I will be in for about an hour doing some maintenance work. Can you meet me during that time?" Absolutely! I arrive. He greets me at the door and apologizes for his messy look. He showed and explained to me the work that he can do. I showed him what we wanted. He quoted me $26. I said, "we want this entire thing in color though". He said "yes, I know. I can do that" Me: "AND the artwork on the front and back?!" Stanley: "yes and wire bound like you asked" Hallelujah! We found our guy. I was so excited. I immediately texted my friend the news. A couple days later my friend met with Stanley and viola! The journals are complete. They turned out exactly how we wished for a whole lot cheaper than the other 6 companies that quoted me. High quality low cost, plus stellar customer service, Score!! I snapped a few photos while waiting in line and the person behind the desk was not happy. What was to be a regular in-and-out visit, turned into a prolonged conversation about Yelp as the proprietor was not happy about me doing review of his place or snapping pictures of him. The store is a simple old-fashioned office center. A bit disorganized but nothing out of the ordinary. Fax, mail, supplies etc. Not bad at all. But then not special either. To be transparent I didn't ask for permission to take a picture of him and he is right to request me to delete it. However after deleting photos and showing him my phone as he insisted, this person would not ship my package until I deleted photos from the deleted folder and showed him my phone for verification. I obliged as I believe he had a point. The part I disagree is insisting that I also delete pictures of the messy store he didn't like. I obliged again while negotiating which angle should we keep. 500+ reviews on Yelp and this is the first experience like this. Perhaps the next Yelper will not be as accommodating as me.
