The original photographer failed to tell me that my jacket was askew. I have tolerated the look of the photo for many years, but finally took it into this shop to have it fixed. When I arrived to pick up the finished photo, the color was adjusted, but the jacket was not fixed the way I wanted it to be. The woman who did the work indicated that "you didn't tell me that is what you wanted." She made some small adjustment in the right side of the jacket, but it was not correcting the look so the jacket appeared closed and buttoned. The woman said "You didn't tell me that is what you wanted." I do believe that I said "fix the jacket." It would seem to me that she should have asked me what I meant by "fix the jacket" instead of assuming and making the minimal change she did. She then added "I would have had to charge you more to do that and it would have taken longer." At no point did I note that I needed this quickly or that cost was too high. If the person agreed to fix the problem, I would have not have been as disappointed. I had to pay for the work despite not getting what I wanted because she had my original picture. I have speculated since this incident that the person who did the work is not the owner of the shop (she indicated that Jon Reis is not there very much). I am not sure why she would not offer to fix the problem which I consider her error--not making sure she knew what I wanted done--but I strongly recommend that customers be very careful with this company because it is not a customer-service oriented group and the work I requested was inadequate.

I entered and the employees and continued their conversation without saying anything to me. I tried the guitar out for a few minutes to makeup my mind and verify it was still in good playing condition before purchase and the manager came over and asked if I knew they were closing now at 6pm. I said I was unaware and wanted to purchase the instrument and went to the counter. I pulled out $400 in cash and the manager got bwhind the counter and asked for a phone number and I told her I didn't have an account with the store or want to be added to a mailing list or anything. She said the system needs a phone number bwcause the guitar has a serial number. This was an uninsured, out of warranty used guitar of a discontinued model, so I said "just put any number in or your own", she said she wouldn't do that and asked instead for a full name and last name, I said I don't need or want to do that either, I just want to buy the guitar and she said she can't sell it because "it has a serial number" without elaborating. I have never had this experience before purchasing from them, or any other guitar store in decades, nor heard of such a thing and left without purchasing anything because I wouldn't allow them to put me on a mailing list or data collection service over a small cash purchase of an out of warranty used item.
