Amazing customer service and professionalism! I love supporting my local credit union.

I have been a loyal customer to copper state cu since 2004 when I moved to Arizona. I have never gone to another credit union or bank. Unfortunately last month I truly hate to admit it but I was a victim of serious scam and fraud. It takes a lot for me to admit that I fell for this horrible bull shit and I still don't understand how it happened! I will not get into details other than I was trying to make a Zelle transaction to sell a grill I posted. From the very first contact I received from these people turns out to be completely a scam. Once things were in progress and I had a horrible feeling about what was going on I called the fraud department. They put a stop on my debit card and told me to contact my bank for any additional help or answers to questions. This was a Saturday so on Monday I took the day from work and went to my local cscu. They were very helpful! They contacted the fraud department and the branch talked to them and I talked to 2 different people in the fraud department and gave them all the information and details and gave phone numbers to all the people that were involved. I once again was embarrassed and ashamed and completely disgusted in myself for allowing this to happen!!.. But the woman I talked to on the phone that Monday morning from the fraud department assured me that these people are professionals at scamming people and rushing them and confusing them and convincing them to do what they say. It was so confusing and frustrating. She told me that it's not my fault and they will do their investigation and figure this out. Again, I gave them all the contact info and numbers of these people that I dealt with. All in all Copper State credit Union did not back me up and basically said it was my fault and they will not insure the money these scammers took from me. In total I lost $4000. I have lost 4k of my hard earned money that I will never see again because of my stupidity!.. I just seriously cannot believe that I have been a member of this credit union since 2004 and they do not have my back and still have the audacity to tell me " Thank you for your business and look forward to helping you in the future "...: My world got turned upside down and had to close my account down and open a new one after 22 years and out my money!. Carol Grady I don't not know what branch Carol works at because I've only talked to her on the phone several times, but she is outstanding employee of copper State credit union I thought maybe that she would be a manager, but she is not. your managers of all the branches should take some directions from Carol. She is a excellent person, bent over backwards to help me out very pleasant to talk to, and if she didn't have an answer for me she would find out and get back with me. I love Copper State Credit Union so much that I am moving to Sedona, Arizona, and I'm not even going to change banks. There is not a Copperstate in Sedona, but they have well located machines that have no fee if I need cash. I can do so much, efficiently online, that I will just look forward to coming back to Anthem to visit my brother and say hi to the friendly people at Copperstate Credit Union! read more

If you are looking for a hometown feel, this is the bank for. Excellent service throughout. Eileen is so nice helpful and nice. She treats her customers like friends and has been extremely helpful to me every time I needed more than your usual banking. The location in town is convenient and hours are good. read more

The Anthem branch has the most AMAZING people who work at it. They know my name, they know my kids and I truly love going to the bank. Jordan and Matt helped me finalize paperwork to pay off our mortgage and it was so easy. Eileen is amazing as well. My daughter is disappointed if I go to the bank without her. I wish every business could take lessons on how to treat people from them. They are the best!!! read more

I had my truck loan through copper state. I sold the truck and had 37 dollars in my checking account. I wanted to keep this account active incase I decided to finance another truck. I didn't use the account for over a year. Copper state charged me inactivity fees and took my 37 dollars just for not actively using my account. Not a huge deal but this is unfair in my opinion. You can't just take someone's money like that because they aren't actively using a checking account. Anyways just wanted to get the word out there read more

I have a shared credit union in another state but I just moved to Anthem so I know which bank I am choosing! And my son goes to GCU and they have GO LOPES on their website! It's meant to be!!!! I paid off my truck loan on May 5,2022. I was told a lien release would be sent to DMV within a week. I've emailed the credit union twice with no reply. I've called three times. The people I've talked to told me there was no record of a lien release sent to DMV, but they would "reach out" to the person in charge. Absolutly nothing done in 3 months with 2 emails and 3 phone calls. Guess they don't believe in customer service. read more

On 9-10-18 i went into DVCU in Anthem today todo alittle banking. I walked in and there were two telers standing at the counter and no customers. I walked up to the fist teller and said Hi she did not answer me. Her body was facing me but her head was turned towards the other teller. The young lady ignored me and refused to greet me or even ignollege me. It was very rude and very strange I did not expect this treatment at all. I said hello again and again she ignored me. She was not having a conversation with the other teller she was just looking in her direction. I thought this is strange why is she ignoring me and I really didn't understand. I then said hello a third time and waved my hand. The young lady then snapped at me im busy most people wait to be called up. I was blown away she was extremely nasty and treared me like garbage. I said excuse me young lady your out of line I would like to speak with the Manager. The other teller came over and I walked away with her. I explained to the other teller what happened meanwhile the young lady was throwing a fit slamming drawers and cabbinets and making comments. There was at least two other customers by know watching this. I honestly in 53 years have never seen anything like this. This young lady was having an anger fit in the middle of the bank. As you can imagine I was upset and blown away by her complete rude and nasty attitude. Finally the bank manager appeared and I told her what happened. I got the feeling she didn't believe me so I said to her you have cameras with sound go watch them. I told her I simply tried to say hello and I was ignored completely and then yelled at and treated like crap. I asked the Bank manager is this how I should expect to be treated when i come in here. Meanwhile the young lady was still slamming drawers, cabbnets and mumbling.The bank manager asked me to meet her in the cafeteria when i was done with my saftey deposit box. So i went about my banking and when I finished I went to the bank managers office instead of the cafeteria because she was in there. The bank manager said there is no excuse that a member should not be treared that way period. I agreed of course. But I still felt like she was making excuses for the young lady. She said would you give the young lady another chance. I said of course I would. But there was no apology from the young lady, I think the least they can do is have the girl apologize to me and to tell you the truth she should be fired. I shouldnt be asked of I would give her a chance. No way not my responsibility. There was absolutely no reason on my end for this to happen I did nothing wrong but say hello. This kind of conduct should not be tolerated for even a moment. Plus they let her throw a fit infront of me and other customers. This is not a mistake like she counted wrong. Never in my life have I seen anything like this for absolutely no reason. Not in a bank or any buisness. I would hope I hear from uper management at DVCU. read more
