Don't even consider, this place does not feel like home. Our apartment flooded and we couldn't stay there with the chance of mold build up. The apartment didn't even fix the issue, just painted over the damage. Asked for reimbursement since we couldn't stay in our complex, but was met with no help and the apartment claiming we could have stayed there even though our ceiling was falling through in our master bedroom and bathroom. Once they came and "fixed" our complex they damaged a picture that we had and broke our TV. (Would not reimburse for that either) Worst place to live in East Tennessee. I would not recommend anyone live here. There are way better options in the West Knoxville area that are around the same price or cheaper that actually take care of their residents. These people are terrible! We have family members that have lived here. They are extremely quiet, work all of the time. One of them had their vehicle towed and had a permit in their windshield! It was an exorbitant cost to retrieve it from the tow company. They have a lot of bugs in their apartments. They do very little maintenance. They had better be careful as all of the new apartments being built are beautiful and cost alot less per month to rent. The new places actually paint apartment numbers on the spaces for less confusion. We are convinced that they get a kick back from the tow company. What a racket! Don't rent here! read more

I lived at Copper Pointe for almost 3 years and it was overall one of the worst experiences at a complex. I had mold growing in my walls that they painted over twice. My apartment flooded and they never replaced any flooring that was damaged or the cabinets. They then tried to charge me $250 to replace the carpet when I moved out when I left it cleaner than it came and they supposedly replace all carpet in every unit when someone moves out. The office staff was never helpful with anything. I had to stay due to work circumstances, but overall wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Very not honest with credit report no matter how much you tell them about your credit, they said it's okay and said you just have to pay more money for deposit and charge us for the application fees and came back saying need more credit for the appartement or a co-signer very dishonest. read more

Lived at this location for a year and I recommend that no one lives here. 1st I was told that it was a renovated apartment, it was not. Mind you I have movers scheduled from out of state so I didn't have much choice. When I got there it was not renovated, it was dirty, had nicks on the "hardwood" floor, and even had burn marks on the kitchen cabinet. After having to argue my frustration they did accommodate with a rent decrease for the months I would not be in a renovated apartment. Little did I know that would be 6 months down the road. After a month the apartment next to me was raided by the FBI and TBI for drugs and trafficking. The office when I urged my concern for safety said they had heard nothing about it. There were FBI agents there for over an hour??? Then a tree fell and no one from the office came and the tree laid on the cars overnight. The next week that same apartment was attempted to be burglarized that had the drugs and at 5:30am I was woken up to police screaming at the perp. The assistant manager Kaitlynn was horrible at communications and made excuses for everything. At one point I had to call the district manager due to concern. That was a feet in its own because I called for 2 weeks straight and was finally given an email because she was never able to call me back. The renovation was the longest week. They put me in a temp apartment on property that was dirty and WiFi didn't work for the first half of the week. I also had to unpack ALL my kitchen and part of my living room for this renovation. I work and this was time I did not have to deal with. The details weren't clear in the letter and I had to go back in and pack/move more things. After renovation there were issues with their finishes (photos attached) and there was so much drywall dust left all over that I had to vacuum multiple times before I could breath clean air. There are constantly ppl skipping out on their leases. One of them hot my car with a Uhaul. And it was great to find out that he was able to get his unpaid rent (2-3 months worth) and his early termination fee wiped clean. I tried to track him down for repair of my vehicle but he had no insurance and stopped answering calls. Glad to know they take care of those types of people. I moved out in August and let the lease run out in September. Needless to say I do not recommend this place to live. It looks great online but once you get stuck in you're stuck. read more

Lived here for the past year. Worst apartment experience I've ever had. Our apartment flooded three times because the foundation and interior is so bad. Once we had 2 inches of standing water throughout apartment. (They did not fix ANYTHING except for surface appearance) Had to live on the sofa for weeks. The office did NOT make any arrangements, even after asking. The inside is stuffy and smells like mildew. Immediately after moving into a new apartment I could finally breathe out of my nose. Constantly had sinus infections at CP because of how bad the air quality was. Consider it a huge red flag if a lease has a BOLDED Mold section! Run!!! If you want to live in a busy community with people constantly moving in and out then come to Copper Pointe. Hardly any grass areas with horrible landscaping. (Only looks nice in the front of the complex) Dog park isn't even real grass and the pee smell lingers until it rains. Pine cones everywhere you walk. Otherwise, management team and front office are friendly. Apartment itself is ok. It just needs some serious outdoor work. read more

I'd give a zero but that's not allowed. DO NOT MOVE HERE. We lived here for a year and it was awful! Staff aren't very helpful, the community is horrible (strange people walking around at all hours of day and night and police come at least once a day). Once we moved out we were told that we had until that Saturday by 5 pm to turn in the keys, turned them in by 4 pm that day. A week later we got a bill saying we owed an extra days rent and when we tried telling them that they told us to be out by Saturday they said that there was no proof of that being said. Plus the apartments are in HORRIBLE condition. We had a smell for months and maintenance could never do anything about it. They're not worth anyone's time or money. read more

IF THIS STOPS JUST ONE PERSON FROM MOVING INTO COPPER POINTE APARTMENTS, IT WILL BE WORTH IT! I was going to wait and write this review after I moved out, but after roughly the 10th time I stepped in another residents dog poop, I had to write this. As a dog owner, I had to pay a NON REFUNDABLE pet fee for both dogs and an extra fee to have the apartment "swab" my dogs mouths so that their saliva was on record because apparently, these apartments "regularly" check for dog poop and will swab the poop and bill the owner. Obviously this does not happen. There is dog poop everywhere. There are also multiple residents who do not use leashes. I let the office know multiple times, and nothing is done about it. Add this to the endless list of lies these apartments tell you. The WORST issue I had was a few weeks ago. My son just turned one year old and one morning I smelled a very strong chemical smell coming through our vents. I immediately called the office and their response was that they were stripping a bathroom next door, BUT THE CHEMICALS THEY WERE USING WERE HARMLESS. Ok, really? Harmless? I don't think so. Of course they didn't care, and blew it off. The next morning, it happened again. Seriously? I called, of course no answer, so I walked down to the office furious! I talked to the property manager and she straight faced lied to me giving some excuse that they were in the wrong apartment, and there was nothing they could do about it, it wasn't harmful, blah blah blah. Funny that the next day they came back and did more stripping. But I thought they were in the wrong apartment? All this complex does is lie to you and find any way to get out of doing their jobs. Roughly a month ago this complex upgraded all the windows. Sounds great, right? WRONG! They did it while we were still living here. So, in the middle of winter, we had about 8 guys walking in and out of our apartment for almost an hour. And if that wasn't bad enough, it was in the middle of the day, so if you have a job, looks like you had to use a personal day, or trust these random people in your apartment. To make it even worse, there was NO NOTICE! Between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm, the window guys showed up, and the majority of residents were given ZERO notice! Also, for the past month there has been constant banging! I mean headache banging! They are constantly ripping things down or "fixing" things. There is TRASH everywhere! Maintenance guys speed everywhere in their golf carts, and they are either texting on their phones or just not paying attention. One of them almost hit me while I walking with my son, and almost hit my car twice because he was texting and driving. Another issue we had was the front railing for the stairs leading up to our unit. It was ridiculously wobbly, and it took the maintenance team, if you can even call them that, the longest time to fix it. I can't tell you how many times I called to complain about it, and the few times the office actually answered the phone, it was either "oh our property manager is out of town" or "I'll alert our maintenance team right away." I literally fell down, with my son strapped to me, because there was no where to hold on to. Of course the office didn't care. They came and wrapped caution tape on it...ya..caution tape. Oh, then they came and spray painted the bottom to "match" the cement. The whole situation was asinine! There is no where to park after 5 pm because they have storage bins taking up a lot of spots, and they do not monitor non-residents. So basically you pay a parking pass fee to not be able to park anywhere near your apartment. My husbands car got multiple things stolen, and my neighbors car got broken in to. You guessed it, nothing happened, not even an apology. All and all, I would tell anyone and everyone NOT to move into these apartments! They are literally falling apart on the insides, and all the maintenance team will do is paint over it hoping it will cover the issue. I have never lived in an apartment this bad! Every single week, there is another issue. The smell of weed is almost daily, everyone speeds, trash is everywhere, they are constantly barging into your apartment, unannounced, and when they do leave a notice for something its usually less then 24 hours. To top this off, on multiple occasions they left residents doors open with nobody home. It has happened to everyone in our wing for sure. The only positive thing about this complex is the trees. After reading the negative reviews I was shocked. Your experience must depend on which building you're in. Some comments are right on; you do have to police the other residents and their dogs. Pictures. But who wants to do that, right? Maintenance has always responded and done a great job w/in 24 hours of my requests. They are upgrading all apts and we do have a lot of contractors in and out. Agreed I don't like that. I don't know if they're bonded or if management keeps track of the days they are in and out, so if something happens it can be tracked back. But the upgrades are with flooring, marble counter tops, and new chrome appliances. All my guests love my apt. My bldg is quite, people are respectful and management seems to be on it. Thank gawd. Dog poop everywhere! I missed picking up poop one time (allegedly) and they want to charge me $200 while I'm constantly seeing it and stepping in it. I didn't pay and they added a $99 late charge after one day and a letter threatening evection. The new office staff is incompetent and can't add correctly! Lol. Parking can be quite a hassle. Dishwasher doesn't wash dishes. Maintenance came to fix it but said it was working just fine. Property is not really disabled friendly, and they don't hire disabled persons. So I have lived here since June and was adjusting to life decently in these apartments until September. The apartments are small and old but they have been updated. They do not feature overhead lighting or much storage. They do have some quaint features like USB ports in the kitchen outlet. However in September my neighbor in front of me moved out. Upon their departure I have gotten an infestation of roaches. I discovered a hole in the back of my oven (pictured). They believed the roaches were coming from there to my unit. They sealed the hole and deep treated my apartment for a month. My unit still has roaches. The pest control explained that they are in the walls and there is not much they can do about it at that point. The office is refusing to move to another unit or break the lease. They do not consider it an infestation. Ok so my apartment has been deep treated once a week for a month and a half and they catch 5-6 roaches on the traps weekly with the spraying. I believe I'm developing an allergy to the spray from repeated frequent exposure. I have had roaches crawl on my feet, over my food, and in my utensils. The property manager hasn't contacted me once. In fact she has been out of town twice in the last month. I have had to go through the assistant leasing manager and she can't do anything without the property manager. I'm being given the run around. I genuinely suggest not living here. I lived off Inskip Road for two years and never saw one bug but I move to west Knoxville and they're everywhere. read more

Out of all of the apartment complexes I've lived in this was the most expensive and the worst. Dog poop everywhere, you walk out of your apartment and it smells like trash, pee, poop, cigarettes and weed constantly. Smoking on balconies is against the rules in the lease you sign, but the creepy old man that sits on his porch 24/7 staring at you smokes all day long and it doesn't matter how many times you call to complain they just ignore you because their office staff is terrible. Parking is awful they give you a parking pass saying that they monitor and tow people parked in residents spots, that's the biggest lie they told! There is constantly no parking and they also have had tractor trailers and mobile storage units in parking spots all over the complex for a year not so it makes it much worse. My car and two of my neighbors cars got broken into on two different occasions and no one cared. There was a drunk man on the steps of our complex being loud and throwing up so we tried calling security and they kept hanging up to make the phone stop ringing, and they never cleaned up the puke so it smelled really bad for about 3 weeks and we just kept pouring water on it because I didn't want to clean up some strangers puke. Oh and all of their good reviews are left by people before they actually move in because they take a little off your pet fee if you leave a 5 star review, so if you're thinking about moving into this place do yourself a huge favor and don't. read more

We've been in many apartment complexes during and right after college before purchasing our home and we had by far the the best apartment experience we've ever had at Copper Pointe Apartments! My wife had a short term work assignment in the area and the office staff was quick, sharp, and easy to work with as we were a bit more involved since we didn't have a long term lease. It was also nice that having a really pet friendly community since we got spoiled having a home and then moving into an apartment so it was nice to have the dog park to let the dogs spend some of their energy there. The apartment really fit our needs, quick maintenance follow up for some minor things, good location, and would highly recommend this community to anyone looking to live in this area! read more

I lived here way too long.....outrages rent ( not worth your money) they make it look cosmetically ok until you move in and then you see the mediocrity reality that you're really in overpriced substandard living. Outdated plumbing and fixtures the bathrooms need new shower stalls they're gross and stained with out dated shower heads and tub faucets. Hvac system is an incompetent in all seasons . You can hear toilets flush through the paper like walls and neighbors and you can spell everything through the vents. Police are always on location for various reasons like drug busts. There was what felt like a "pothole" in my hallway while walking over. Insufficient parking, incompetent office staff and maintenance. Many intrusions with entering apartments for inspections among other unnecessary things . Not much privacy ! They care more about the exterior grounds (except for picking up pet waste ... it's everywhere) than fixing up apartments worthy of the rent you're paying. You even get charged a " convenience fee" to pay your rent online when they do not like check payments. Other unnecessary fees like building maintenance, garbage, literally any fee you can think of is added in addition to your monthly rent so plan on paying at least $ 200 more than your monthly rent cost. I'd advice everyone to not waste their hard earned money here ! read more

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This office staff is incompetent and rude. They withhold your packages delivered to the office (due to being a large size) and then say they don't have them only to find out weeks later they did have them and signed my name for it. Dog feces EVERYWHERE. I've stepped in it numerous times. I have dogs, and upon move in they required a dna swab of saliva from each dog to implement a poop policy. You'd be fined $200 if you do not pick up your dogs waste. Well that's crap because you'll spend all day dodging piles of dog crap just trying to walk outside. You also pay a non refundable pet fee per pet. Mine was $550 for my two dogs. However, this pet fee DOESNT COVER DAMAGES. I am being charged over $500 for "pet damages" to the bedroom carpet. These are completely fabricated damages because absolutely nothing was wrong with the carpet upon move out. So what does the pet fee cover!? No idea. This is the sleaziest and shadiest complex I've ever encountered. They are just out to get your money. My boyfriend car window was also smashed (he lived with me). The office was no help and quite rude when I went to ask if they had camera located anywhere since we lived right beside the office. When they cut the bushes around the property, they left TONS of mulch all over our new patio furniture. Kind of them. The "hardwood" floors they advertise are cheap and crappy vinyl that pulls up by walking on it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Worst experience ever. read more

Car break ins, no parking (even though you have to have a parking pass), trash left every where, my list could go on and on. If you are considering an apartment in West Knoxville, run far away from this place! These apartments are not what they seem. They advertise that they are an upscale community with many amenities. This is false. They apartments are worn down. If you decide to move here, look carefully before you accept your apartment. We have had mold, water leaks, a ceiling that has fallen down, and flooding for a broken air unit. We found out our apartment is infested with bed bugs. The apartment complex is being very rude and non shalont about the whole situation. We moved into Copper Point Apartments on Jan. 10th, 2019. Since the day we moved in my Fiancée has been complaining about these rashes she has been getting when she lays down for bed. We kept trying to figure out what the problem was, but could never seem to figure it out. She has always had really sensitive skin, so we assumed it was a product she was using. The rashes continued to get significantly worse, so we took her to urgent care. The doctor informed us they were bed bug bites. I was not getting the rash because the doctor said not everyone reacts to the bites. We immediately went to the office the day we found out. The woman in the front office did not show any care or concern at all. She said she would have a manager call us, but no on ever contacted us. We went back down to the office and spoke with the manager this time. The manager was beyond rude to us, and basically told us that this was our problem to fix. We explained to her that the bugs had been here before we moved in because my Fiancée was getting the rashes from the first week we lived here. We told her that we have not been anywhere that we could have brought them back from. We did not see the bed bugs either until we found out about the bites since they hide in the beds and behind objects. We told the manager we wanted this taken care of immediately and she said it is the residents' responsibility, but was very rude about it. She said they did an inspection before we moved in but refused to show proof of the inspection. I said it could have come from the people above us. The manager then lied and said no one lives above us, even though there has been clearly someone living above us the entire time. We said we wanted to be compensated for our troubles, she laughed and said "no way." She finally informed us she would send an exterminator in 3 days. We said this needs action immediately. She said "well you have lived with this long so you can handle it a few more days." She was extremely unprofessional the entire time and showed zero concerned, and she even laughed at us. She told us multiple lies and refused to help us. Once the exterminators finally came they destroyed our apartment. The left black spots all over our walls, and to this day our bedroom has been too unsanitary to live in. We have been having to live in our living room for almost 2 weeks now. They have to do 3 more treatments, but will not tell us when the treatments are, nor will they accommodate us for any troubles. We are very upset because not only have we not been helped in any way, but the employees of the apartment have been extremely rude to us. We contacted Don Dare and will continue to fight this because we should not be paying for an issue we did not cause to begin with. read more

I have been living at Copper Pointe for about a year now and I like it the building I am in, it has a strong sense of family. The Office staff --I love Suzy in the office she has always went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I don't talk much with the rest of the office staff but when I have they have been easy to work with. The Maintenance staff--- Does a great job at getting things taking care of in a timely matter. Tina is the best by far she always has a smile and is quick to talk to you. The common area--The pool area has to be the best around!! Many different groups all hanging out and having a great summer day! I have heard that some people have problems with people not picking up after there dogs, but I have not had a problem with that. Parking-- This is the area that needs to be policed better. There always seems to 2 to 3 cars without permits in the lot in front of my building. I know that some people that live in different areas of the complex have to walk along to get to there cars. All in all I think Copper Pointe is doing a good job!! I would tell any of my friends that want to move here to do so. read more

Not pet friendly at all. We lived here for a year and loved it and then got kicked out for owning reptiles. The lease is full of technicalities. The lease says that the property manager can "permit or prohibit" animals not allowed per the lease. The original property manager told us we could have our ball pythons and then she got moved to a different property and someone else promoted to the new property manager. Elderly lady in her 60s or 70s runs around with a beautiful husky in and out the the office. Huskies are prohibited per the lease and several other residents had prohibited animals and we were targeted. Dumbass in the office even thought a gecko could live in walls and multiply. Rabbits are also prohibited so anyone wanting to surprise their kid with a pet rabbit can't. Reptile lovers beware and do not rent here you can't even have a leopard gecko. Not to mention they tried to charge us for terminating our lease early when they asked us to leave. read more

This is my first experience with renting in this area. My biggest complaint: the rates continually rise from month to month. Even though the Rental Rate remains the same, Copper Point finds other ways to add to your monthly invoice on a monthly basis. $5 for trash, $10 for maintenance fees, extra fees for paying your invoice online or having it drafted, etc, etc. My invoice is NEVER the same and it has continually increased the entire 7 months I've been here. Unfortunately, they don't add amenities to compensate for the extra fees. I would not recommend. read more

Im giving three stars because there are good and bad situations when it comes to my experiences here at copper pointe. After 2 years of living here i have some thoughts. Will start with the good and then the bad. The office staff are friendly and courteous especially the maintenance manager and property manager. Package service has a few bumps here and there but overall good. Response to maintenance issues is amazing and prompt. Now the concerns. Residents do not clean after their pets as a pet owner I'm constantly receiving letters stating residents in my building need to clean up pet waste... however i look outside when walking my little tiny pups and see MASSIVE dogs that in my opinion should not be allowed in apartments taking huge dumps on the property grounds and the owner just walks off... if you don't wanna clean up poop the size of a football... get a small dog. (Or none at all). Also parking is a nightmare there isn't enough for residents let alone all the non residents that are always taking spots... parking should be enforced but isn't. The other night while walking my dog a guy almost hit me with his car, and yelled at me to get out of the way, then screams sorry man i need a spot... which leads me to the traffic issue.. people drive 30 plus miles an hour through the complex i almost have been hit at least 3 times by drivers going way to fast. There is one small sign at entrance thats says 15mph... it should say 10 and there should be at least 10 of these signs throughout complex. Lastly we pay a facility fee for the "amenities" and yet the car wash area has been blocked by a hideous tractor trailer since October 2019. read more

This organization makes an effort to tell you what your monthly rent will be, along with utilities. What they fail to tell you is that they also add a service fee to the rent that keeps taking your rate up every month. I find this practice deceptive. The "hardwood like" floors barely cover that description. They are nothing more than strips of vinyl that will efface from the floor for lack of adequate glue. Then you as the tenant are blamed. The paint on the walls is such that if you try to clean them for any reason, the paint comes right off and then there is an ugly smudge for the duration of your lease. The free pet care is minimal. If you have a dog they will walk it. If you have cats, all they do is show up at your unit daily and see that there is food. They do not replenish water or clean the litter box. Disappointing. I do not treat my pets that way, and I do not like it when others do. Beware. Ask questions. Do not sign the lease until you have ALL answers that you need. read more

After a few weeks of searching for the right apartment and not finding one, Cindy and her team were able to place us here in a two bedroom at Copper Pointe on a short-term lease in order to wait for an apartment in another complex. After just one month of living here Cindy was able to find us an apartment here at Copper Pointe comparable to the one we were waiting for. It only took a minute to decide that we were going to stay here. They have a great management team with activities throughout each month. Great neighbors both two Legged and four-legged. All of the apartments are being renovated with new appliances,granite countertops, and would type flooring. We haven't lived in an apartment for 14 years and we are so happy to be here! I moved into these apartments with my fiance and they are absolutely horrible. The management is below par on every aspect of management, the office staff do not communicate with one another so you never know if anyone knows whats going on because they always forget to put things in your file and always forget to write it down. The assistant property manager is incompetent and says she has worked there for over 8 years but her management experience makes me believe she might have started her job this year. The apartment we lived in was infested with mold not only growing in the walls but below the carpet as well. The upgrades do not include any new flooring and the upgrades they did were sub par. They will charge you for every little thing and act like its your fault when it is theirs. HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you are desperate find another apartment complex!!! Overall this complex isn't terrible but it is definitely lacking. My fiancé and I lived here for 2 years. Our neighbors were reasonably kind however, people move in and out again in a short time period. The office staff aren't consistent and do not communicate amongst themselves or with upper management. Be sure to document who you spoke with and what the arrangements were that you made. If you get a move in credit, ask how it will be applied and if you want it used towards other fees such as a pet fee. Even though we finished out our lease and cleaned the apartment prior to inspection, we are still being charged additional money. Like most apartments, the living space is small and you can hear your neighbors very easily. Summers are a nightmare because the cooling systems are very dated. We kept our air set at 70 this past summer and it never cooled below 76 during the day, despite maintenance changing out the thermostat and doing checks on the system. We had an incident where a contracted group was pressure washing the outside of the building and because the seals were worn on the balcony door, bleach water came through and stained a portion of our couch. The property manager took pictures but never followed up and renters insurance refused to cover the damage. I will say that the building we were in was nicer and less rowdy than most (building 5). So as I said, it's not terrible, but it's not ideal if you're looking for a quiet, spacious apartment. I really hope the office staff and management learn to communicate more efficiently. It's all good until you sign your lease! Incompetent staff, unprofessional management starting with calling people "Darling". Does not care about the tenants, or repairs. Internet access account is always wrong, nickel and dime beyond scope of lease, no hot water - or water at all for that matter - for 2 to 4 days. Over sold parking, junk cars not towed, will not repair cracks in walls, floors. 4 fires on 6 years. Rent way high for monthly drama, drama, drama! Do your research. read more

I lived here in 2013 into 2014 and had a wonderful experience during my time in this community. The apartment was wonderful, the amenities in the complex were all well maintained, and the staff was always kind and helpful. I must emphasize how wonderful the staff is. I left this apartment complex to join the military, I have been living in the barracks for over two years, and I am finally moving out into the local community around the base where I am stationed. I applied to a new apartment complex here, and got rejected. The wonderful staff here at Copper Pointe Apartments spent the better half of a day looking through 2 years of records for the person that I lived with in order to clear my name (long story- there was $350 worth of damage from the final inspection that I wasn't living in the apartment any longer for). No where else have a had a customer service experience like the staff at Copper Pointe. They went above and beyond for someone who isn't even a customer anymore.
