I have lived at Windover Apartments for 14 years. There is not one bad thing I can say about living here. The office staff is so amazing, kind and considerate. Our club house is beautiful and extremely clean. The mainteance department is excellent. They have always come within a day for any request and within minutes or an hour for an emergency. Our grounds are kept beautiful and clean. This is my forever home and I highly recommend Windover to be your home. I feel very safe here. do not live here!!!!!! townhouses are full of mold and everything is painted over and ducted taped together. the vents are oozing mildew and you constantly cough. the management is ubelievably terrible. the property looks like your in the projects no flowers, no bushes patio trees have all been cut down , and you cannot even plant your own flowers. kids cannot have their toys on sidewalk. you cannot even have a grill on your own porch! terrible management i cannot stress this enough. ive had my car stolen twice ans broken into several times parking is worse. thet even dont allow ex residents to visit friends if they dont like you. its atrocious! for your own health do not live here. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! While the location is very nice for the West Hills area, these shoddy apartment homes are nothing more than glorified cardboard boxes surrounded by brick. When I moved in, I was greeted with a VERY friendly staff that seemed welcoming. During my first month or two during my year lease, my upstairs neighbors decided to very loudly domestically assault each other (this ended up happening on 6 separate occasions) when I went to the office, I was told that it would be handled and dealt with. IT CONTINUED ON FOR MONTHS, and finally after the fourth police call, I was told by Courtney Stevens, one of the managers, to, and I quote, "Stop calling the police on them, you're making them look bad." So eventually, they did get them moved out and my life resumed being peaceful or so I thought. The office staff really began showing their vile and grotesque nature as humans around this time, I started feeling targeted by the office because they tacked THREE apartment visits on me within 2 weeks of each other, which was a total invasion of MY PRIVACY, and then ultimately I wasn't allowed to finish out my year lease due to my lease being terminated on some shotty excuse. At the time of my leave from this apartment complex, there were 7 other apartment homes that had been vacated in my courtyard, including my own. An initial 4 renters moved out, and then the rest followed suit and those apartments stayed vacant. I was VERY shocked to see the true colors of the complex staff Erica and Courtney. It is people like these two that really push the dehumanization of their fellow humans by treating their residents like subhuman cash cows. DO NOT LIVE HERE IT ISNT WORTH IT!!!!! They will threaten your lease MULTIPLE times during your stay, it happened to my neighbor who was forced out just like I was. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

I absolutely love living at the Windover. I've been here over 2 years and it's a wonderfully safe and beautiful complex. I'm enjoying the numerous amenities, brand new laundry facilities, lush landscaping and all the green areas for walking my dog. It's a super family friendly and culturally diverse community where people truly feel at home. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to live here and I look forward to another fun summer ahead in the giant, saltwater pool. I have been living at this apartment complex for close to two years. The staff here has been nothing but amazing! The apartment are quite and amazing that you don't have to hear your neighbors! Since the manager has been on property has been nothing but amazing! Her and the office staff has been doing a lot to make sure the complex is looking and good and taking what is needed to get property to where it should be! Never had a pet or even brought an animal into my apartment and got flees. I am a clean person so I am not sure how this happened. Moved to a different unit and can hear every move my upstairs neighbor makes. Very cold, heating the 1 bedroom is quite expensive... not sure if this is due to poor insulation or what is the issue. The updates in the apartment are nice but I feel sort of creeped out being able to hear another person use the bathroom in their unit above. read more

If you hear "this is Courtney" - hang up and don't even bother - she's a manager but she has the worse attitude for the job - must be nice to get paid to be rude. I didn't sign the lease when she showed me the apartments because she acted like she was doing me a favor A couple months later I signed up with Jordan and she was so much better at providing welcoming vibe. Since I'm in the process of hunting for a new apartment in a new (and much different) city I thought I'd pay homage to my old residence. I really loved the experience of living at Windover. My dog and I lived there for 2 1/2 years in two different apartments (I only switched places to move in with a roommate). Windover was probably the best part of my time spent there. The apartments are kept up quite well, the grounds are nice, maintenance guys are amazing and on top of it, office people are lovely, there's nothing I could really complain about. And because I had a dog it was really nice to live some place that treated him like a resident too. Mary and the rest of the crew were just great people to work with and I was a bit sad to leave them behind. Now searching for an apartment where rent is crazy expensive makes me miss them that much more. The complex is quite close to I-40 and I could often hear traffic at night, but the good part is looking out the window and knowing whether or not to find an alternate route when traffic is backed up. And the convenient gate between the apartments and shopping center was another benefit. Loved this place! Possibly the best apartment I've ever lived in. read more

Do Not Live Here. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THE TOWNHOUSES! IDK where to start with this one. Bottom line? Short version? Pay a $$$$ fortune $$$$ for just okay, miserably hot-in-summer cold-in-winter townhouses; incompetent, cocky, greedy management; issues galore; just not worth it for the price. I'd say the only positive is the location and pool. This place used to have the chops to charge what it does back in the day, but now there are so many other upscale, new places in the area you don't need to waste your time here. We lived here in a 1br apartment which we had no issues with because literally everything was brand new from a fire apparently. But the townhouse we "upgraded to" was a fucking nightmare. My biggest complaint is the lack of adequate heat and a/c during hot summer months and cold nights. Especially in the summer. If you like cold A/C and a comfortable temperature, you'd be absolutely miserable here. It was so hot upstairs in the "master' bedroom that we had to install a window a/c unit (they didn't provide it). Yes, really. Townhouses in general aren't the coolest temp wise, but it wouldn't cool the upstairs below about 78 degrees. Waking up hot, sweating while sleeping in my $1129 townhouse got old fast. Window unit solved the problem, but of course once management saw it they harassed us to take it down. It's not only the temperature, the a/c unit is positioned so close to the living space it's all you hear. You have to turn up your TV volume to hear over it, and it's always running because it's so hot so it's a constant annoyance. Ours clanked and rattled so badly that we had to duct tape it to "tighten it", which hardly worked. Literally made me scream with frustration. So, as you can guess, a constantly running a/c unit leads to......$200 power bills for a 1400 sq feet dwelling! It doesn't end there; they charge $68 for a flat water bill for a unit with one bathtub!!! As of this writing I've been in my new 2400 sq foot home for three months and my power bills are around $60-70 less than the god awful townhouse I rented there. My water bill is $24 LESS than they charged, for a whole house with more bathtubs and two hose outlets. Bugs were a constant problem also, I literally killed more 2 inch bugs than I care to remember, and I'm not exaggerating the size. One of the three times I reported this the office didn't get the Orkin man over for a week. Finally, it was unacceptable how they handled my lease breaking. Demanded two months rent up front before I could even give notice to break said lease. I wrote them a detailed letter over two months in advance, explaining that I was closing on a home and obviously it's hard to break a lease and close with no overlap--they weren't the least bit accommodating. I understand that this is a business, but as a tenant for 8+ years total (off and on), I was very put off by their inability to budge by not even allowing me to set up payments over several months. I'm glad I figured out a way to pay this, otherwise my home deal would have fallen through. Beware. I used to live there years ago in college, back when it was a different management. If I'd known it had changed for the worse like this I'd have never decided to live here again. The old management was professional, courteous, and seemed to go out of the way for their tenants. Now it's so obvious it's just a money machine, they couldn't care less about the tenants. The office is beyond incompetent, and boy, are they cocky. This used to be one of the nicest apartment complexes in town, but man oh man they're average at best, now. And business is showing that--people were moving out left and right while we were there. LOTS of empty townhouses. I would never, ever recommend Windover, and do yourself a favor and stay away. Lots of newer, more modern places available for the price. ESPECIALLY AVOID THE TOWNHOUSES!!!!!! read more

Windover apartments was a great complex circa 2012. There was a management change around the first of the 2016 year and things are not the same. Maintenance is almost nonexistent. When an upstairs water heater leaks into a working light fixture in the apartment below and that's not a priority when reported..... Be diligent in investigating what constitutes a "pet friendly" listing. It's selectively enforced, even with signed lease agreement... I have lived at Windover now for two years ! I am nothing but in love with this complex. Everyone is really nice, there is no crime, nor noise . The grounds are very well kept and the pool is awesome ! The apartment is very spacious and beautiful, whenever we have an issue it is resolved quickly ! I really enjoy living here. My 2bed/2bath has an open floorplan with a wall of windows/French doors to the patio, a huge kitchen peninsula, and lots of storage (including 3 closets in the master bedroom!). It was updated just before I moved in, so I have new kitchen appliances, bathroom vanities, light fixtures, and flooring. The office staff is friendly and helpful, and I've never had a problem with any of the other residents. There's a pet deposit, but no monthly fee like some other places charge. Maintenance issues are resolved quickly. The location is convenient to West Town Mall and downtown, and Turkey Creek isn't too far. read more

Grounds and apartments look very pretty. HOWEVER, apartment was absolutely freezing in the winter -- son had to go to sleep with a hoodie, sweatpants, socks, and two down comforters. Complained MANY times, but nothing was done. The air conditioning compressor is placed outside the bedroom window (1st floor apartment) and the noise was disturbing when trying to go to sleep. The sound of cars speeding by on I-40 can be heard from the apartment, and on Kingston Pike (one block over) people strung out on drugs are visible staggering on the road at night. Southern Hospitality only applies when signing the lease. Had to unexpectedly break the lease -- office staff had absolutely no empathy and squeezed every last penny that they could. read more

Windover is a lovely complex, has a great pool and gym and is in a great location. However, I would never recommend Windover due to the incredibly poor management. The property manager is patronizing and rude. My roommate and I went through a very difficult situation and attempted to get advice and/or help from the office. Instead they treated us like pests, were very condescending and actually accused me of faking a legal document. I have never been so disrespected by professionals and I am very disappointed since I love the complex so much. So overall, great property but expect to be treated very poorly. I would have expected more consideration for the people paying rent to live there. read more
