The staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful--they clearly know what they're doing and provide great care. The only downside is the cost. Their prices are extremely high, which is unfortunately the main reason I wouldn't return.

We were transferred from a North Jersey animal hospital to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital because we were told they were the best of the best -- and my goodness, that could not have been more true. From the emergency team to the greeters at the front desk, every single person treated us with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. They took Paisley in immediately, and the neurology team had her scheduled for an MRI first thing the next morning. I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Sheen. Her compassion, knowledge, and incredible people (and animal!) skills were beyond reassuring during such a traumatic time. She even went the extra mile to check on Paisley's results on her day off. That level of care meant everything to us. After some much-needed good news, we later worked with Dr. Haggerty for five tooth extractions and a root canal. Once again, from the moment we walked through the doors, we were blown away by the level of care and expertise. The hospital itself is spotless, massive, and run so seamlessly. Honestly, if I ever needed surgery, I'd want it to be at Red Bank It is an incredible place for both humans and animals during times of crisis and need. We are forever grateful to the entire team for taking such amazing care of Paisley. Thank you for being exactly who everyone says you are -- the absolute best.

Dr. Lichtig joined the practice several years later and has seen our beloved dogs through some tough times as well. Many of the staff have also been there for well over a decade. The entire staff are caring, compassionate, professional and true lovers of animals. Dr. Lichtig diagnosed our Bandit with cancer about 5 years ago and the surgery she performed gave him another 5 good years with us. We have always been able to count on Dr. Demeo for dependable diagnoses and prognoses and a full and realistic presentation of treatment options. Her advice is equally tempered by her professional knowledge, her experience as a pet owner and her love and empathy for the animals in her care. The practice is also up front with and considerate of the cost of care (though we were never able to wrangle a family discount for our brood). We lost our dog Samantha a few months ago at 16. Bandit (14 years old now) has been struggling with mostly mild symptoms of Cushings Disease for the past year but took a dramatic turn for the worse overnight and is clearly in pain today, unable to move. We fear we will have to let him go today. Unfortunately and unusually, although we called first thing this morning, Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital are unable to see him until early this evening. They have always been able to get us in during emergencies before, but there are special circumstances today. Bandit is suffering right now and it is difficult to allow that to continue for several more hours. We contacted and considered the Red Bank and Garden State emergency hospitals, but my experience with those institutions has not been great. They have been quick to recommend costly, unnecessary or even futile tests and treatment plans in the past. As I write this, I realize that there's no way I can make a final decision for my boy without the attendance and advice of a vet I trust completely. Those are the doctors at Atlantic Highlands Animal Hospital. We'll wait a few more hours and keep Bandit close in our arms until then.

A few weeks ago my dog broke his toe and when I brought him in they told me he needed surgery and there was a risk his toe needed to be amputated. We were referred to Garden State where we went the next day to fine out no surgery necessary and also no amputation. He was put in a splint and given a 4 week healing period by Garden State. I called Atlantic Highlands Vet to schedule getting my dogs splint changed every week and they said they would have to sedate him each time to change the splint. That he wasn't calm when he was x-rayed so sedation was necessary for splint change. I did not agree with weekly sedation for 4 weeks to change a splint, so have been going to garden state each week and they are changing it without sedation no problem. Today I called Atlantic highlands because I just got my dogs splint changed at garden state yesterday and something is bending strange. So I asked Atlantic highlands if they could have a look today since they are so much closer to me than garden state. I explained we have had 3 splint changes at garden state without sedation and still today they would not see me to help me without sedation. I could understand if my dog was vicious at all but he's a puppy and has been totally fine for garden state. I asked Atlantic highlands to email me ny dog's paperwork and I will never go back.

The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey - Our fur bundle. Okay, really a teen. LoL

We were not happy with a previous emergency vet place due to another health issue, but this place, The Spay & Neuter Center of New Jersey, had excellent ratings, so the appointment was made. We are so thankful we decided on this place. Drop-off is between 7:30-8:00 a.m., and pick-up is between 2:00-2:30 p.m. When you go back to pick up your fur baby, you text them, and they will text you back when to bring your fur baby in, and when it's your time to pick them up, regardless of your appointment. They do this so the waiting room does not get overly crowded. To give your fur baby up and not be there can be harrowing, but we had a great feeling as we dropped her off. The staff was so kind and truly went out of their way to assuage our nervousness. They even send out a video to you showcasing what to expect when you pick up your baby. They did recommend our furry love be chipped in case she ever gets lost. We agreed to it. When we retrieved our bundle of joy, she was fully awake, and the technician even came out to talk to us, detailing again what things we should look out for, and that should there were any sort of complication(s), we can come back, and they will do a follow-up. This cost was already included in the original price. I am truly thrilled our little one wasn't drowsy because they used the perfect amount of anesthesia. We now have our beloved baby back where she belongs, and she has the cutest tattoo on her belly to indicate she has been neutered. The staff is caring and dedicated, and unlike the previous veterinarian, from the emergency vet, this staff understands our nervousness and is not dismissive. Well worth every penny. Cannot recommend them enough.

I asked the workers there to please take care of my baby and they assured me that he's in good hands as spaying and neutering are the only thing they do there. I dropped him off at 8 AM and picked him up at 2PM. Everything was well organized and explained to me. I had no additional questions that they had not already mentioned. When they brought out my Rigatoni he seemed loopy but very happy. He's generally a very happy dog but I'm so glad he's ok. The worker gave me his medicine and explained everything. On the bottles and paper also had instructions for dummies like myself. Everything was easy peasy. He slept the entire car ride home and napped when we got him. He woke up around 6 PM to eat and we went to bed shortly after. Everything went to how the instructions were advised. He woke up and went to pee and poop by himself and he had a burst of energy. He's been sleepy here and there so I'm a few weeks, I hope he goes back to being himself. I miss my little man! Otherwise, I love this place, 10/10. Nothing but positive kudos to them. Thank you so much for caring for my little baby.
