Hard to believe it's been four years since my last review here, there's been quite a few changes since then, so it's time me. The Copper Kettle Tea House is a semi-hidden at 106 N Chicago St in Foley that's nestled away behind the Centennial Park. The Tea House, sometimes referred to as "The Hobbit House", is the full time restaurant that is open Wednesday through Saturday.  This is one of my favorite spots of all times, with some of the very best food you'll find anywhere with the best soups I've had anywhere. I'm not alone in my accolades since these guys made the Yelp annual 2021 list of Top 100 Places To Eat in the US and Gulf Coast Media's Best of Baldwin 2024.  Sisters, Robin and Sue, are delightful ladies who own and operate this wonderfully charming tea house with some surprisingly culinary creations that are always outstanding. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, attentive, and always make you feel right at home. The environment is relaxed and inviting and what sets the folks apart is their meticulous attention to detail and care of everything they do which makes for a truly wonderful experience.  Also another very special treat is their High Tea services to suit most everyone. You can call them to book your high tea, 48 hours in advance, or email them at  copperkettlebooking@gmail.com or you can book your personal casual, cozy, quaint, or  playfully themed tea online.  They have fabulous tea selections, prepared to your specifications, hot or cold and you can purchase any amount to take home with you or even order it online.  In addition to perfectly prepared sandwiches, there's great apps and desserts and let's talk sous. The best tomato basil soup I've ever had is here, plus some amazing combinations also like pear, pumpkin and apple soup, but the biggest surprise soup suprise I've ever had was the day they introduced me to their "Cheeseburger Soup". You may be hesitant, as I was at first, but trust me it is crazy, crazy, crazy delicious. This creation has everything you'd find on a classic cheeseburger, right down to the dill pickle slices, in a cheesy broth. I'm on their hot list of people to call when they're serving it. Kinda like the bat signal it's my personal soup signal :-)  So no matter whether it's a lunch or dinner, high tea, or one of their laid back Friday evening events you can rest assured that they will make it special every time with their special touch.  Bottom line: The venue is a hidden gem and the staff is a cut above and the teas, and food, are magically delicious. From the moment soups's boiling tea's brewing & quiches prepared. The lunch rush begins. My second high tea here & was immediately greeted with hospitality by their server offering samples that featured a couple of holiday teas. First impression sampling their Christmas Spirit tea containing a pear & cinnamon brew. It's a flavorus pleasing sweet balance between cinnamon & pear showcasing their flavors without overpowering each other & being treacly sweet. After enjoying 2 pots offering those smooth holiday flavors reminiscent of Christmas delectable delights. It became time for pairing my tea with piping hot cheeseburger soup. Savoury flavors this soup contains are amazingly seasoned with perfection offering tastes reminiscent of freshly grilled burgers having infused familiar flavors within their base not resembling a chili taste. Their soup's appearance & texture is reminiscent of chili having melted gooey cheese upon seasoned beef layers topped with a delicious pickle. If you're avoiding bread & still love cheeseburgers. This dish is all you. Attention switches focus towards a pretzel cracker basket we ordered. Dips within were amazing & flavorful as cherry tomato flavors combined with butter crackers & dipped in cream cheese or ranch is amazing. My lunch has been a flavor cornucopia with each indulging sovoury bite which continues to amaze me with each visit. Through their tea varieties hospitality & amazing food selections. Their Tea room exterior resembles a quaint & beautiful English cottage with a hobbit-burrow entrance & stepping into an inviting cozy atmosphere adorned with eclectic decor featuring antique items, beautiful framed pictures & tea themed paraphernalia adoring their Boutique dining area fusion where price-tagged merchandise & tea related merchandise is available throughout their whole shoppe. Outdoor dining is delightful having wonderful views of Centennial Park & surrounding downtown Foley which offers wonderful shopping opportunities. During certain occasions they have it themed during certain times. When I dined outside Wednesday their Dickens-themed area transported me back to Victorian London. Their Outdoor dining area isn't any fancy patio. Expect a simplistic backyard setting with seating & some minimal decor resembling that found in antique thrift stores. My overall experience made me a repeat snowbird patron every year. Until then stay a spell relax & sip on enjoying that "High Tea With Southern Charm" with your favorite snack or entree if desired. i enjoyed my experience here. my love for tea is growing and when i found this tea room was an hour away i decided to have a nice day trip to go visit as there are no actual tea rooms in the city i stay in. i am so grateful as it was worth the drive. the employees were helpful and sweet. i got some help in picking a tea option. i went with the China Rose and the first sip was okay and then i enjoyed more as i kept drinking. i got it unsweetened as i don't consume the sweetener options of sugar or honey. i did bring some agave just incase i didn't like what i ordered so i wouldn't waste the tea but it was not needed. i am expanding beyond most of my experience with tea being grocery store tea bag sweet tea so i've been holding off on adding agave to the different loose teas i have been exploring at home. i went alone and other then taking a few pictures i spent the quality time with myself making words from the Scrabble tiles on the table. i went around 6pm on a Friday and i was grateful that it was not crowded (i'm a noise/people sensitive homebody) just two tables of people who i believe were all together. sipping the tea and gently exercising my brain was calming and a nice way to end my trip before making the drive back. they also had a few items i wanted to purchase but need to keep on my wish list at the moment: loose tea, tea towel, and a cute bag with the name of the shop on it. my first tea room experience was pleasant and peaceful just like i like my experiences!

I had never been to a "tea bar" so for me to say "as good as it gets!" I might be overstating my knowledge, but I can say I was impressed with the extensive menu, both tea and sweets. I am fortunate to be married to a husband who will "try anything once" so he was with me and he too was impressed with the sweets. We visited just before Halloween so the shop was dressed up for the holiday, including a motion sensor in the bathroom that spoke to you in goulish tones. However, the best feature was the staff. Employees were friendly and very knowledgable about their products. They were able to answer or find out the answer to all of my questions, including how to play the "pick up sticks" game they provided. I can't wait to see how they decorate for other holidays.

This is my favorite spot in Foley. Delicious food, wonderful teas, and great service! I absolutely LOVE the Copper Kettle. Whether sitting outside or grabbing a table inside, you'll find magic and whimsy everywhere. It's a perfect place to relax, bring company, or just a good book. With flavors for every taste, this place does not disappoint. The scones are heavenly, soups that hug the taste buds, and the atmosphere hits the soul. With beautiful decor inside there's so much to catch the eye. Outside is a wonderful space with play area for kids, oversized chess and checkers, and a beautiful wood swing. This place is a dream and to top it off they're ready for themed parties and hosting events. So whether you're having a spot of tea on your own, coming for high tea, or having an event, Copper Kettle is a fantastic place for it all.

Great service, tasty food and amazing selection of tea, hot and iced. The lemonade is also delicious. I highly recommend you reserve a table so you can experience their varieties of high teas. Food is made from scratch as the menu changed daily. Tea is made to order. You are welcomed with a free sample of the daily tea. Interior is cozy. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and will work with you if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions.
