My sisters and I brought my father in to Copper Fox for his first tattoo on his 60th birthday. A retired career Marine, he wanted a USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor in an American Traditional style. When we contacted the shop they were swift to reply, find a great appointment time and ask for photo references for what he had in mind. By the time we showed up the next day the extraordinarily talented Gina Matuo already had a prospective design worked up an a large book of flash for us to look through as well. She made a few small tweaks to the design, determined an ideal size and completed a beautiful tattoo in a little over two hours all while making my dad comfortable and chatting with him about their respective military experiences. The shop was clean, friendly and beautifully decorated with a fun, welcoming vibe. The flash offerings range from very traditional to Disney themed and just about everything in between. My father could not have had a better first tattoo experience and he's so pleased with and proud of the result. I'm already looking forward to going back with him when next we visit Kissimmee, where he is retired. We can't thank Copper Fox and Gina more or recommend them more highly. We tried calling like 5 times to check pricing for a septum piercing and 2 tattoos but no one answered the phone. It's a Sunday today and the door says Monday-Sunday 11-8 but google says they're closed on Mondays... we showed up when they were supposedly open but the lights were off and no one was home. I have been really thinking hard about what I wanted for tattoo #9 lately and I knew my mom had been to the Copper Fox a few years ago to get a touch up so I figured I would check with them first when I finally decided on a design. I was immediately greeted by Mikey who quoted me an extremely fair price for the tiny addition I was adding to my canvas (body). I paid for my tat and then said I would be back for my appointment in an hour since another walk-in had gotten there before me. When I returned I filled out my paperwork on a tablet, which was awesome, they even scan your photo ID on it for their records. This is so efficient and green, which is so cool especially if you are a repeat customer. Once the paperwork was complete, Mikey escorted me to his private room and before I knew it I was looking down at my wrist adorned with my new tattoo. Mikey was so personable and he made the whole experience enjoyable. I love the way the shop is layer out with individual rooms so that you have privacy during your session and not have complete strangers watching and possibly distracting your artist. I look forward to planning my next piece of atlrtwork and having Mikey do it for me. read more

These people were quite rude and seemed not to care whether I got a tattoo or not. I tried to make an appointment and then when I showed up for my appointment the girl said I was just a walk-in. We were in Orlando for an all-star cheer competition and some of us seniors wanted to get some small tattoos together. I had been vlogging the entire trip so I came in video taping on my go-pro, which in retrospect I should've asked before recording, and the guy at the front asked me to turn it off, which I respectfully did. We told the guy we wanted some small tattoos to commemorate our trip and showed him the pictures of what we found. He was very cold towards us and told us that he could not make them nearly as small as we wanted and it would have to be a lot bigger than what we wanted. He told us that our tattoos if they were that small would "look like shit." He was just very cold and rude towards all of us and we weren't taken seriously. He also told us that because of the placement of our tattoos (which was on our upper ribs, right below the armpit), it would be almost $40 more than if we got it on our leg or arm. It almost felt as if he was trying to convince us to do it there so he wouldn't have to put in as much work. We decided against it and left immediately. This is not the place for small walk-in tattoos, which I feel is a big part of the Orlando tattoo culture. read more

Mikey is the best. I'm from Hawaii and he made me feel like Ohana (family). He did my tattoo at the last minute and worked with me through the whole process. The shop was organized and professional. I really want to go back to get another tattoo, because the tattoo came out perfect! Exactly what I wanted. Mikey is also a perfectionist, so placement was spot on. Was not greeted coming in, but I can deal with that. When two tourists on vacation walk in, ready to get tattoos, you should probably not cop an attitude about how you close in 30 minutes and the tattoos take 45 minutes. He was also rude in pointing out how the size is "only about this big". Yeah, we know about how big, that's not an issue. There is absolutely no reason to treat customers so rudely, maybe we would have just come back in the morning. I wish I had grabbed the guys name, but we were so annoyed we left and went to another place. Shorter scruffy dude, think he had reddish hair. The shop was empty but I think it was just the time of day. Mikey did our tattoo, he worked with us on design and placement. He was very professional. Tattoos were clean line work and good design.
