Lived here for a year and would not recommend moving here. Very frustrating experience. Management does not do their job correctly. Passes on their responsibility's to the tenets. Almost had my car towed once even with a parking permit. Main front gate has not worked during the entirety of my stay. Work orders did not get completed in a timely manner. Lived with a hole in my living room for 4 months because maintenance team is understaffed (see picture below) lastly we had many problems with mold on our walls, on our personal belongings that management did very little about essentially putting a bandage over the problem and would not let us leave the complex without breaching the lease contract even though it was a ongoing health issue. read more

Copper Creek does not belong on this list. They DO credit check. Rental agent was very nice though. I had one collection on my CR so they turned me down. When I investigated the CR it turned to be my bank whom I've been banking with for over a decade. They erroneously reported that I had a delinquent account. I have NEVER owed them anything. The staff is great they offer different events each month not only for the kids but for the adults as well. it's a very clean complex area and the people in general that live here are very friendly. We moved into building 5 in November 2019 for less than $1,500/mo before utilities. July 2020: the water heater above our unit leaked and filled our outdoor storage with mold. It ruined a good amount of our stuff. According to former maintenance staff, they were "in the process of replacing all water heaters because they were way past their warranty". It took 2 weeks for the maintenance staff to come cover the mold on the walls. October 2020: dripping sound and a wet spot in our carpet. Maintenance didn't come to check it out until 10 AM the following morning. They cut several holes in the wall and ceiling to find the leak, and the inside of the wall was caked in black mold. They told us it would have to stay open and exposed like that for a few days. I had to call the manager and pressure them into coordinating with insurance to get us a hotel for a few days so we weren't constantly inhaling black mold in our living room. May 2021: we found bubbling paint on another wall. It was clearly another leak but when maintenance came to look at it they said it was dry, and therefore there was nothing they could do at the time. Two weeks later, our neighbors who share the wall ended up with wet carpet and a hole cut in their wall to fix the leak. At least 2 of our neighbors experienced serious leaks while living there. We saw plumbers in our parking lots often. We were in a constant battle with mold. Other issues we encountered during our stay: Our stove burners were constantly getting screaming hot on low settings or not heating up at all. One even blew up while we were using it. Our ceiling had almost no insulation and we could hear everything our upstairs neighbors said and did. The unit water pipes in the ceiling would clang and click and make a dripping sound every time the water turned on. In multiple buildings, the fire alarm system outside would make a consistent beeping sound. read more

Decided to rent an apartment at this complex. Was coming from out of state, and based on many positive reviews, feedback from the management when speaking with them, etc. I gave it a shot. Once I got here, to my dismay, I wish I had not chosen this place. There are many more cons than pros. From the outside, the apartment complex looks decent. But let's go down the list of negatives: 1.) If you have a unit that is in one of the far rear buildings, keep in mind that there is only one trash dumpster...at the FRONT of the complex. Which means you have to walk and carry your garbage pretty far (imagine doing that in the rain). Some people even put the trash bags ontop of their car and drive it there. Gives you a good idea how close/far it is. 2.) The communication from management, to be blunt, sucks. They almost never return phone calls, hardly ever answer the phone when calling, etc. 3.) Parking spaces fill up fast in certain areas of the complex. Which means, if you're unlucky, you have to walk far, once more, to/from your vehicle. 4.) If you place a maintenance request, they take a really long time to actually come (depending on what it is you need). 5.) Everything within the apartment unit is old! Biggest flaw to this place. I have uploaded photos as well. Paint jobs are terrible, door knobs from the 90's, carpet on the dining room portion of the floor, no A/C, leaking faucets (literally, every faucet here was dripping), dents in various portions of the wood and walls, and the washer/dryer are inside the bathroom! I seriously wish I had gone elsewhere. Overall, I do not recommend this place. You can spend a similar amount of money going someplace different and better. read more

Copper Creek is a wonderful place to live. The buildings and parking lots are well maintained, and if there is a maintenance problem the staff are quick to get it fixed. All staff here are friendly, professional, and organized. Brenda, Samantha, and all the staff are quick to address any problems, concerns, or issues that may arise. There are always fun events planned for kids, adults, and families at any time of the year. Some of these include community yard sales, story book times, potlucks, chili contests, BBQs, donation drives, and pool parties for both kids and adults. Be advised that there is a quarry right next door, it's right next to the freeway, and some of the buildings are on the SeaTac flight path. This causes noise that may take some time to get accustomed to, depending on the person. I promise you, though, living here is worth some noise. read more

Literally a bait and switch. The model apartment does not represent the actual unit. Horrible paint, patch, dents and other damage. The walls have doggy chew marks on every corner. The faucets and door handles dont work properly. I smell mold from the leaky faucets in the kitchen and bathroom. The maintenance takes weeks to respond. When I place a simple report the office doesn't respond or even recall my request, let alone, every request I make is deflected back to me! The utilities are excessive by any measure or comparison. ($175 for water for 1 person) The office tells me to contact THEIR utility company??? WHAT??? No customer service or tenant retention training with this management team. The construction is older and so poor I can hear every step made by the 5 people that live in the 2 bed unit above me. I regret this move and I would pay to vacate if the lease buy out wasn't 3 months rent!! read more

I have lived here for 2 years now. I love this place. The managers are awesome. They're real people if you know what I mean. Not by the book people. They want to help their residence anyway they can. The owner is a generous man. The apartments themselves are very nice well maintained. They are very well priced. They are hidden in a wooded type area off the road. So no road noise. Gated community so you feel real safe. Thats another thing the managers know everyone here by name. Never had that before very personal and friendly. very tight knit community. I feel sad that we are moving on. If anyone is looking for apartment in the Pierce county area you need to look here first. read more

I've lived here for 2 very enjoyable years and just signed my lease for another. This place is a hidden gem. The faculties are well maintained and and maintenance is done quickly and well, and the manager and office staff are wonderful. One of my favorite things is that it backs up against a protected canyon wetlands and what minimal traffic noise is drowned out by the sound of the Hybelos river. Two thumbs up! read more

The apartments are absolutely beautiful. And the young lady who works at the front desk is the sweetest. But Brenda Johnson, not so sweet. I went in so I can check out apartments and see what I can get for my money. I misunderstood the nice girl and Brenda jumped on me for that, and was super rude from then on. She was a Bitch. But the apartments are just awesome. It's quiet, complex is a nice size, amazing celilings, cool people, gated. Perfect for someone who also wants to spend 700 on a one bedroom, worth the money. I love this place. Great place for Adults, Kids and Pets. Secluded and easy to get to. They have community events for Adults and Kids and I have not had my car broken into. My boyfriend and I have lived here since 2012 and there were many reason why we chose this home. I grew up in Milton just a few minutes away (it's nice to have Mom & Dad close by). It truly feels like a family the staff always wave and great everyone by name. Plenty of fun activities for little ones, including movie night so Mom & Dad can have a kid free night out (or in), crafts, swimming parties weekly in the pristine pool and spa (they take great care and attention to detail in the entire property), and holiday fun events! Let's not forget the adults also have Adult only time to socialize with our neighbors/friends. And don't forget the prize winning chili cook offs and so much more! The beautiful cabana offers tanning, a gym, and a lounge with beverages and snacks. I have recently become a Mom and love all of the opportunities for our daughter to interact with children her age (with special reminders the night before left on our door). If you need any help from maintenance it is handled quickly and professionally from changing a light bulb to more difficult problems. There is truly no other place I'd like to raise my family. read more

I've lived here for over 3 years and can't imagine moving on. Brenda and staff are very much into ensuring we, the renters, are well taken care of. Reed, the main maintenance person, is very affective keeping everything looking great and in working order. I've never even seen garbage on the grounds. They are SO on top of things! Special events are held year round for adults, kids and the family all together. I'm always impressed when I found out all they do for us and we don't even know it. The neighbors are quiet and the kids in the complex are responsible. Besides having a well kept pool, there's always a gym and hot tub all included. If coming to this area, you should at least check out Copper Creek Apts. I'm glad I did. read more

I never thought I could love an Apartment until I found Copper Creek. My home is beautiful! There are high ceilings, ceiling fans, and open kitchen and so much space! The complex is quiet ALL THE TIME! There are never any cars that come through blaring music or people being loud or inappropriate. This place is really a gem and the staff is so wonderful. If you need something fixed, it gets done right away and they are always smiling and willing to help! I feel super lucky to have found these apartments. I moved into this apartment complex in 2013 because it's what my wife wanted. However, there are some very big issues with these apartments. They claim to be luxury apartments, but they are not luxurious at all. The community center is very tiny with a less than adequate gym. The playground is too tiny for children, with only one set with a tiny slide and a few swings - one baby swing, one toddler swing, and one child swing. Every other apartment complex I've lived in had a much larger and better community center, and I am paying more here at Copper Creek Apartments. The apartments themselves are less than impressive. Everything is cheap and many things are broken. The staff is friendly, but they are actually terrible to work with. While going over the contract, they do not let you read it over first. Instead, they make you sign every single page, and you don't know where it ends. You may think that they have a section that goes over what sort of service that they will provide you, but there is none and before you know it, you've signed the complete contract. There were several items I did not agree with, including paying an average for utilities as you share the costs with your neighbors. Basically, if you run up $100 in utility bills and your neighbor runs up $300, you both pay $200. They pay less than they ran up, and you pay more. You can be as careful as you can with utilities, but that does not matter here because you'll still pay more. After you move into the apartment, they give you a check list of everything to check so you can write down any problems for them to fix. However, you will never hear back from them about what you put down. The staff will promise many things, with one of them being a 24 to 48 hour response time on service tickets. That is a lie. You create the ticket and weeks go by. Once you start complaining, they send a maintenance person over. They do not address all of the issues you stated on the ticket. And, when they say that they need to get some more parts to fix an issue, they never come back. Copper Creek Apartment's, in Milton, motto should be, "It's a place to live." That is because that is all you will get. You will have a roof over your head and not much else. Do not expect service. Do not expect the truth. Do not expect luxury. You will not get these things. And, if you do look at moving in, make sure that everything they say is in writing and they sign them. Make sure that they let you read over the entire contract before they go over it with you. Again, I only moved in here because my wife wanted to. I had a tough time getting her to move from our old place, but we had to get out and I was just lucky enough to get her interested in anything. This is the only place we looked at because she only wanted to look at one place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I hadn't lived in an apartment for over 10 years, so I was a little apprehensive about moving back into apartment life. Brenda and the entire friendly staff at Copper Creek made the transition easy and welcomed me into my new home. They take care of their residents and the respect is returned. It's quiet, somewhat secluded (even for tiny Milton) but close to freeways/highways (very close to work for me!) and shopping/restaurants in Federal Way are close too. The workout room works great for me. I'm not a tanning bed guy, but was surprised that they had one on site. No speeding cars thru the complex. There's little get togethers every once in awhile at the club house sponsored by Copper Creek. And of course, Friday is always cookie day. :) I've been here six months and couldn't have found a better place to live. read more

Amazing management and clean area. Quiet area with a great trail nearby. Great price and updated apartment. Everyone that lives here is friendly. The pet policy is great! They have you do what they call a dog interview to ensure your dog is friendly and what you say it is. So people can't pretend their put bull is another breed. I lived at Copper Creek for 2 years and I loved it so much. The one and only reason I moved is to enter a new chapter in my life, moving in with my boyfriend. I just turned in my keys last Saturday, and let me tell you, it was a sad day indeed! I was able to visit with Brenda, and for that I am truly grateful. From the moment I walked in that first time to the last time, she continues to be a truly geniune human being. As far as my apartment and the surroundings, I always felt safe and the grounds are very clean and well maintained. I also love that the building is set back and very private. I spent time at the pool when I could and used the work-out room, not as much as I should have, however, state-of-the-art equipment and beautiful furnishings in the Manager's office too! The rest of the staff are so helpful and so friendly. Thre are many gatherings and events during the Summer as well as the holiday's. Family friendly as well as adult get-together's too. There are movie nights for the kids among other activities. I just can't say enough!! After living at several other apartments prior to Copper Creek, I can honestly say, hands down, that this was my absolute favorite place to call home. I will truly miss Copper Creek and everybody here. I hope the new tenats that moved into my apartment love it as much as I did. I highly recommend this community, and I have told many others as well. read more

Clean place, friendly staff, repairs done in a timely matter. Just aheads up for future tenants. Water bill is shared with others, and not informed with the tenants. No way to reduce the bill. Average for water, trash, sewage is around $100.00. We were gone for 2 weeks and the bill stayed the same. Also Moving out will cost you regardless if you clean or not. No way around it. However they will charge you for the stove covers if you do not replace them with new ones. Very very small play area for kids. Gates seldom closed. As many people who know me I've lived many places throughout my life - I can say that in all of the apartment complexes I have lived this is by far the VERY BEST. The Staff is amazing, the management staff is outstanding. Brenda and her team from the Asst. Managers to the Maintenance Staff are truly one of the very best teams I have ever met. They greet every day with a smile. They make sure we live in a clean, happy place with beautiful surroundings from the flowers to the great newsletters. I have never wanted to participate in Apartment activities before but the community here is really fun. Everyone is friendly and respectful to each other. We just had a great Halloween party for the adults and we are having a special party for the kids and dogs on Halloween. My dog is dressing up as a frog - I'm so excited to be a part of the parade. This summer we had great BBQ's once a month with incredible turn outs and every Wednesday they offered a kids program which if I was a parent would have been awesome. This is a safe place as a single woman, I always feel safe. I have great neighbors who I know I can call on if I need help and I can always call on the management staff or maintenance staff if I need something regarding my apartment. Manager is in everyone's business- guests that come over, mail, packages etc. Apartment leaked and was moldy- I was told I would not be responsible for damage but was hit with a huge "damage" deposit when I moved out for normal wear and tear. This is an awesome apartment complex. Safe, gated community. Lots of activities to encourage people to come together as neighbors. Brenda, Samantha and Brielle are awesome in the office. They encourage you to make your apartment, your home. I asked if I could have an additional ceiling fan in my bedroom and they said you go buy it and we'll install it! Can't get that service as a home owner! Maintenance is quick, efficient and knowledgeable. ( Durante and Dom are great! ). They offer services like holding your mail for you when you are on vacation and package delivery inside your apartment( if you sign a permission slip). I love that I can pay rent on a credit card because it is great for my rewards card. Complex is clean and in a forested area, quite but minutes from Costco, Massage Envy, various restaurants and Commons Mall. Check it out! read more

We moved here from CA a year ago and just renewed our lease for another year. At my previous apartments they are interested in helping fix issues in your apartment but not so much in getting to know who you are, you are your apartment #. This apartment complex strives to get to know & help those in the community that need it. They are professional but extremely friendly. Every time I go into the office the conversation is fun, interesting and sometimes it's hard to leave. They have parties throughout the year from themed one's for both adults and children to events like a chili cook off 4th of July for everyone. When there is an issue they know who I am before I say my apartment #. It feels like a family if you just come and join in, if you want seclusion they will go the distance to respect your privacy. For the rent it is an extremely nice apartment/community/experience. I paid double the rent plus for the same type of unit and it was just a sterile box.The maintenance staff is very good at fixing, maintaining and upgrading the units. They will paint accent walls and hang ceiling fans to personalize your apartments so your not just in a white box with no air flow. It is set off the road so there are no types of outside noises which makes it very quiet and relaxing. Check it out and open your mind. read more

She is deplorable! We should have known not to rent here when we heard that she was referred to in the community (which included other professional organizations she does business with) as the "natzi" and that she has SEVERE mood swings....going from super sweet to downright nasty, rude, unkind & mean in seconds. She brides residents to write good reviews for these websites with reductions of rent....She gossips with residents that are her "friends" about other residents personal/private things.....watch out when no one else is around to hear what she says to you...you may want to carry a recording device as she will flat out lie when confronted later. She has been personally responsible for ruining multiple families lives when she refuses to renew leases "at will" because according to the Lease Agreement you sign when you move in it is "at her will" that she decides if your lease is renewed or not & she does not have to tell you the reason she is not renewing your lease. It is really unfortunate that the owner of this property is fully aware of what is going on here & allows this to continue. His family lives at this property and their lease continues to be renewed "at her discretion"...even considering their actions have repeatedly violated the Lease Agreement with regard to activities that go on in the apartment and police activity. read more
