When you walk in, you are greeted with the warmest smiles and reception into a star-studded facility. The Hollywood theme was so cute and exciting for my kid (and me, actually!) and continued in every room/hallway. My kid does not like to sit still and doesn't like people messing with him (I know- not a lot of toddlers do!), but they made him feel comfortable and calm. I also appreciated how they educated me, his parent, on how to properly care for toddler teeth, things to look for, and tips on finally getting rid of his pacifier. We haven't had any cavities or any procedures done so I can't speak to that but one of my truest tests of dentists are if they jump to a procedure, or if they are more of a "wait and watch" person. Any dentist that will jump to a procedure will make me jump offices. So if that doesn't work out for us I will be sure to update this review! So far I don't love any of the hygienists. I LIKE them all and they are all nice but I expect more (the other office I came from in another state I feel like they went above and beyond and they were just amazing with the kids, over here it doesn't feel that way). BUT we do really love Dr. Whittington. He is patient, gentle and kind and explains everything to both the kid and the parent! My 3 year old isn't the easiest to deal with and she didn't want to sit in the patient's chair so he had her sit on my lap and lie back on a tilted board and she did great that way and he was able to brush, polish and get the fluoride varnish without her being mad! I was told I was "not a fit," despite never being given a fair opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities. It was a disappointing experience, especially given the professionalism and kindness of the existing staff, who are clearly the backbone of the dental office's success. I would not recommend this office as the internal communication after change of ownership is greatly dwindling and with it will be patient-customer care.

It was…read morewhen I had to have any procedure above, where it was evident the staff and Dr. Deore have very limited potential. My first unpleasant experience was when I had a cap done on a molar. During the procedure the nerve was not "deadened" enough! I screamed in pain and was very upset! I was given another shot in the area, but it was a horrible experience! (Let me put my pain threshold in perspective, I motocrossed for over 23 years and broke the following (collar-bone, left-wrist navicular, L5-Lumbar vertebrae). That pain was an 11 out of 10! My last experience was choosing to opt to do a composite veneer on my top-left-front tooth which was chipped (I chose this option because it was not covered by my insurance). To be fair, I was really happy right after the procedure of the whole process and result. However, within 2 weeks, while eating a "chicken wing", the veneer broke off, and I was able to save the broken veneer. She did replace the veneer, but not before requiring me to spend an additional un-insured night-time mouth guards. This requires taking molds using a template of the upper jaw and bottom jaw. The templates used during my visit had a "very hard" outer edge. I have "Mandibular Tori" and when the assistant was setting it, the pain was incredible. When I left, I was bleeding from the cut of the mold edge. I paid out-of-pocket for the procedure and molds of over 300 dollars! Dr.Deore and staff scheduled a procedure to replace the veneer at no cost. Within 3 months, the veneer started showing a yellow line where the tooth meets the chipped edge of the veneer! I do not smoke! I drink green tea everday and brush 3-times a day. I do not know where the doctor purchases her products, but I will state this, with conviction, avoid "Coppell Smiles" outside of scheduled cleanings.

One time I drove to the office to find out it was closed. It's too much of a hassle to schedule an appointment that works for us. My oldest daughter is 17 so I needed to move her anyway. When I called to have her records transferred, they want to charge for the record transfer. I'm not sure why that is their policy, but I think it's unfortunate that is how they are handling it.
