This place sucks! Vented a house through them and half the stuff in the house didn't work and they…read morenever enforced the owner to fix things such as the AC that leaks freon and has to be refilled every 4 months and was told they need a new unit as well. The wood posts outside were rotting and chipping away a window missing a screen the dishwasher was broken the locks on the doors didn't work to unlock the doors from the outside one of the stove burners didn't work and the list goes on and on. Then when you call to speak to Joleen she doesn't bother returning your call when she's out and you leave a message and Bree does the same thing. The entire rental office sucks! We moved out and shampooed the carpets cleaned the house and they still took $300 out of the deposit plus more to clean the house and carpets if I were anyone I wouldn't rent from Mercer Hughes ever!

Very inconsiderate, unprofessional and deceitful. Office hours make her unavailable to working…read morefolks. Is incapable of proper grammar. Cusses at tenants. She will nickel and dime your move out on top of charging you for items not spelled out in your leas or any signed documentation. When you go to move out, you become her listing agent and must show your house for her. I also got a reminder for my move out inspection, only to find yet another unknown requirement to get the house treated for fleas if I had a pet...no where in any documentation as to it needing to be done. If you send in your rent via check by mail and it does not make it to them during their business hours, she will make you track down the package, even though door tags were left for her company. When moving out and getting inspected, all discrepancies were pointed out to me and I have evidence(audio and photo copies of the checklist) showing what was going to be charged, only to find out that I was charged for additional things not pointed out to me. I have reported her to the Georgia board of realtors and requested a full investigation into her business practices, I urge all past, present and future tenants and owners to do the same. When presenting her with evidence of her misdoings via dotloop, her company conveniently stopped using dotloop to cover up their mistakes. Also, owners beware, she maintains properties with the lowest bidder maintenance service, her husband, who is an unlicensed contractor. Cuts corners when managing properties just so she can pocket extra money. Georgia is a One Party consent state to audio record, I suggest enacting any legal means to ensure your rights as a tenant when working with Ms. Copeland and her company.
