This is one of my go-to spots to study or grab a meal. The space is very nice with tall ceilings, lots of natural light, and plenty of room to sit. It gets busy during lunch with the nearby biotech crowd, but it still feels relaxed and comfortable. Service is good, and the drinks and food are great. I recently had the brisket lunch burrito, which was very tasty. Balanced flavors and even better with the addition of the sauce on the side. Their coffee and teas are consistently solid too. They also have an outdoor seating area that is also very spacious and pleasant. My only wish is that Copa Vida stayed open later. Otherwise, it's a fantastic spot to work, eat, or hangout.

The coffee and cake here are just ok ok but close to business center, very convenient.

I AM SO SO SAD. I initially found Copa Vida during the pandemic, I ordered back then the Avocado Toast and it was literally THE BEST AVOCADO TOAST I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I came back expecting the same and I was SO SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED :0( The avocado toast was bland, way smaller, no more caramelized onions, not much balsamic vinegar reduction, basil was cut way too big and there was way too much, the cherry tomatoes weren't seasoned. This place fell from such greatness. The Lattes also weren't special or notable, but I must say the interior decorations were top notch. Definitely a spot to chill and study or work. Even the outdoor seating was beautiful. Can't say I'd want to come back after the quality dropped so much... :0(

I used to come here every week when I was at school and I miss it some much. The Caesar salad is something I still dream about. I'm more of a sweet coffee (but not like candy sweet) person so I did often have to ask for my drinks extra sweet since their standard is more on the subtly sweet side.

Hey folks. I'm unable to review any Archdale NC fare since I am in San Diego again. So let's talk about Copa Vida for a minute. Needless to say it is extremely good. Coffee is always spot on and goes so well with the tasteful goodies. I had the bacon burrito which is always excellent. Get it on San Diego! You treat me well. She will treat you well too. Here are a few pictures.

Love this restaurant. Great place to relax and have great food. The service is amazing and it's very tucked into trees.

The aesthetic, vibes, ambience, and coffee are phenomenal here. Truly a hidden gem. I lived near here for a while, and didn't even know it was here. So glad I found it!

Hidden coffee shop gem that is beautiful and very clean! My friend and I wanted to inquire about holding an event there and the barista had their manager come talk to us. They both worked on our drinks and the lattes looked and tasted incredible. Both were so helpful and spent some time talking to us about the space and Copa vida. Friendliest coffee shop we've been to in a long time. After we left, I received an email right away connecting me with their events staff. I can't wait to come back and try other drinks on the menu!

This is a hidden gem! We normally go to Copa Vita by Carmel county Road, but they close down for many months for renovation. It is still not open yet. My daughter asked us to meet here to have breakfast breakfast. The ambience and atmosphere are amazing. It is very quiet place. You can definitely do your study and you can definitely have a little meeting if needed.

I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! Drinks/Food: I had a matcha latte with simple syrup that wasn't the best I've ever had, but was still pretty decent for a place that doesn't specialize in matcha drinks. I didn't try any food today but heard from friends that it's pretty good! Interior/ exterior: Copa Vida is nestled between some office buildings & I couldn't find a parking lot so I ended up street parking. Interior is super cute and chic, with only a few tables for single parties. There's some larger tables for parties of 2 or more though. There's also plenty of seating outside but unfortunately, I came after a day that it had rained and most of the seats (made of fabric) was wet. I ended up finding a plastic chair so it ended up working perfectly. There appeared to be some outlets inside as well. Staff were also super friendly and service was quick! I would definitely come back!

Omg I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner! It's so cute! The vibes are great. Staff is friendly. There is plenty of seating available. I was looking for a new place to study and this place was perfect! I stayed for about 3-4 hours and got to enjoy some of their breakfast and lunch options and beverages. 10/10 recommend giving this place a try!

A great study spot with plenty of parking and seats. It's a nice open space, the music is never too loud, the drinks are great, and the people are super nice. The only downside is that they have short hours and aren't open on weekends :(

On campus !?!? As a UCSD student, I still can't believe we managed to get a Copa Vida on campus. It's located in the new Sixth college, right off of Ridge Walk (a major walkway for students). I had the matcha latte with light ice, and sweetened with agave per a friend's suggestion and thought it was perfect for the warm weather. The flavor was great, and not as bland as other places I've tried. The service here is phenomenal, where I always feel very welcomed whenever I come in. This is a must-try if you're ever visiting the campus!

This review is for visitors of patients dining in the Colors Cafe on Floor 1 (not for admitted…read morepatients). I had to be in Scripps Green for 3 weeks so I have experienced this cafeteria at all times of the day 7 days a week. As a smaller hospital I can understand the smaller cafeteria. However the options and availability of the food is pretty limited. While the food is fair with few hot dish items the salad bar is decent. The hot dishes consist of pizza, burgers, melts, soups, chicken tenders and then some featured main dish which always looks like it's over cooked sitting in liquid to keep it warm in the trays. Pretty much every day they have chicken teriyaki and rice for some reason. The best meals I have had from this cafeteria have by far been the breakfast. You can't really mess up bacon, eggs and pancakes I guess. Although go ahead and skip the french toast, as it is way over fried and crispy. They have pre made sandwiches and salads in the refrigerator cases. Bottles beverages, fountain drinks, coffee, ice cream, chips, cookies and more small sweets. They generally charge by weight for self serve buffett style hot dishes and salads. They really nickel and dime you on some things like charging for butter, ice and creamer. Other packaged items are scanned with a retail price. The staff is hit and miss. Some are nice and friendly while others are just slapping food around the griddle. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside is so nice with the views of Torrey Pines Golf Course and the ocean in the distance. Here's the main gripe. They barely have any options and they don't have keep the menu available for the entire time they are open. On weekdays they say they close at 8pm but stop cooking at 7pm. So nothing is replenished after 7pm. If you go down at 7:30pm you get what ever is left over. And that can be just a slice of pizza or a leftover burger wrapped in plastic. On this weekend they close at 6:30pm and they were dumping the food trays at 5pm!! A whole hour and a half before the posted closing time. All that is left was chicken tender and a picked thru salad bar. The only real option was packaged sandwiches from the fridge. Not fresh food. I find this very disappointing being at a hospital where you would think they would be promoting healthy options. Also twice they have locked us out on the patio dining area, without warning. They locked the doors from the inside while we were eating outside a half hour before closing time. They would have seen us out there eating but still locked it. We had to walk all the way around the hospital to get back inside. They simply could have opened the door and said we are closing this section up early or something. Completely ride and inconsiderate. The location of Scripps Green offers no other options in walking distance so you are basically stuck with the cafeteria as your only option. There is a Hilton if you trek down the street a ways. They really need to broaden the menu and keep it available for patrons ALL THE WAY TILL CLOSING TIME. People are already under stress when visiting here, is it too much to ask to have food available when you're "open".

TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY…read more.. Nice enough self-service place with fair prices. Decent food and plenty of seating. Definitely a decent option without having to leave the hospital. Recommended

The View? 5 The Service? 4…read moreThe Food? 3 Let's be honest here - I needed a good digital nomad seat to complete some work, make some calls, and get outside. Cliff Hanger Cafe provided all of that. While not necessarily quiet due to the large crowds that gather to say OMG I'd never do something like that, that's crazy, as they watch paragliders soar along the cliffs and those waiting for their tandems. But come early enough, on a weekday, with meh weather? Still better than sitting in an office~! The food was less expensive than I thought it would be - reasonable actually for something that is pulled from a cooler and tossed onto a grill with little effort behind the makeshift kitchen. Orders are a bit hard to hear, but damnit - why did it have to be okay tasting?! I thought for sure it would be the worst - but a solid three out of five. Will I be back? Yep. Order food? Yep. Coffee? Nope. We could still use some work there.

I was again concerned that we were walking into another a dud and lo and behold the man outdid himself! This was not the experience I expected and I was so pleased with the Cliff Hanger Cafe! Not only was my food great, but the views and watching experience was out of this world. I had never seen or heard of a glider port and am so glad that I got to experience it (way to go hubby). While enjoying a beverage and sandwich, we were able to watch gliders starting/stopping and of course gliding. Amazing to see how it is done and the view from the cliff is poetic. Not to mention you are right next to Torrey Pines (WHAT). La Jolla in the distance, the vast ocean, a meal and watching gliders start and land, yep a very fulfilling morning! Only downside, port-a-potty's! But I would do it again for the experience!
