I think most of their merchandise isn't made locally (I've seen "Indaba" brand in Vancouver shops and online stores) so while most of their goods aren't unique, I still suggest looking at this store while you're in downtown Kelowna. We were very surprised to find their location didn't look at all what we expected of a "pawn shop". It was immaculate, well laid out, displays exceptional and they would not let you in without us pressing the buzzer. Their business is in basically in Kelowna version of East hastings but we were well dressed and are decent people who don't come across as "poor" for lack of better terms but these men first wouldn't even speak to us and when we did proceed to ask the question we had, they looked at us scoffed and said to the other guy who was working "get these assholes out of here" ....we asked a question about a stone in a peice of jewelry? Not sure how that made us assholes but to him it did I guess. When I proceeded to ask if they had any alexandrite jewelry the other guy laughed and said " of course we do. But it is very expensive like hundreds of thousands of dollars" I'm sorry if you're selling pieces of jewelry with alexandrite stones for no less than 100,s of thousands of dollars.That's too much. In may 24 I started asking . he said he had them for me may 24 &Aug 2/24 I asked again to have them emailed I was on crutches so could not go to store. He said he had them altogether went to the shop early Aug24 and asked Lisa to print out my receipts, work orders for me. She could only find 3 I was surprised and so was she. Maybe . Dana ha them on his computer. On Aug 9 I insisted I get my receipts and he had said on May 29 /24 that he had the receipts ready? A friend went to get them.Aug 9 .?no receipts . Said he would have them the next day. On may 30 24 I put 2 David Yurman bracelet on consignment I never got a contract for them. Sept 12 , No receipts. I still have not received them june14/25. They refused to return my 2 bracelets from consignment. They had them since may./24 I requested them back sept24 On March 22/25 I emailed to them I would be coming to get them Lisa said they didn't have them .they were up in Kelowna?? I told her to get them back Lisa said she would get Dana to check. She didn't. on June6 I went in again and Dana called Kelowna it was his brother I was listening and it was very clear his brother was saying he wasn't sure. Dana described them and his brother said he'd check. Dana said course there was an offer!! I said you can cancel an offer. He said not if there's a down payment . 1 day his brother is not sure he has them. The next day a down payment and I was out of luck . 9 months later and all of a sudden they were sold although I had been asking for them since Sept/24. I was also told " if there was an offer I would be called Dana turned his back on me next time I went to store email Lisa says too bad there's a contract. I asked for a copy. no answer I spent 67,000 $

European Goldsmith and Jewelry store in the Orchard Park Mall. I brought my pearl necklace and…read morebracelet to be re strung last summer. When I went to pick it up the circumference of the bracelet was 4 inches , my wrist is 6 and 1/2 inches.So I asked them to re string the bracelet. I paid them over $200.00 for their service. I went back to the store to pick up my pearls. I wore them for one day and they added a link on to both ends of the necklace, and onto the bracelet. The link started unraveling!! Yes I was getting upset about this, I brought the pearls back to the European Goldsmith. I brought them back in, and the lady put the unraveling " O" link under a microscope and she told me that the person who strung the pearls wrapped the O link with some string. I asked the lady why would they do that, what purpose would that serve? I asked her to take a picture for me, and she tried she replied, and the camera was not working! She said she will get the owner to deal with this matter promptly. I did not hear from the owners for a month, so I went into the store to pick up my pearls, and they had it in a drawer. Now they handed them to me, I was appalled to see that the "O" links were a yellow piece of some kind of non matching Yellow material!...I am sure that is the reason they wrapped the O rings in a matching gold string.... I talked to the owner's wife , and she was defensive. I asked if they can remove the added O links off my necklace and bracelet. She told me no that they are put on for strength. I asked why would they put on that colour, it looks like dollar store item. She replied that they do not have every colour of O rings in stalk! I replied back that I refuse to wear them that way, my pearls look cheap and fake, so I asked them to remove the O rings that they put onto my pearl necklace and bracelet. So I was very upset with her telling me they look good. I said I am leaving the pearls here, please take the O rings off, and be fair. I have not hear a message, a phone call, a email, from them in months!! I went into the store, they pulled out my pearls, exactly the way I left them there, I was upset! I asked them why did they not do anything with them? the lady told me they tried to get a hold of me , I asked her to call my number now, she dialed it, my phone rang. I said I never got one message , not one phonecall. So...She told me that if I want REAL GOLD O RINGS PUT ON, THEY WANT ANOTHER $300. plus dollars. I left my jewelry there and it will stay there until they correct thier mistakes, I am going to the hopefully stay patient. maybe they will rectify their professional reputation. Again - there are some treasures here but there are also overpriced Costco items, you've been warned. The store is laid out in a reasonable way, and there is enough room to move around comfortably. I find the displays have the appropriate amount on them so I don't get overwhelmed. They are relatively strict about the consignments they'll accept, so most of the items are in good if not great condition. I like the sliding price, each items price is reduced after a month or so and then again a few weeks later - all of that info is on one price tag. Mostly friendly, helpful staff. Kudos to them for supporting local women through the Cinderella Program.
