It was always difficult to get a spot to park your RV, it was kept immaculately clean, Bob always went out of his way to make you feel at home. When he decided to retire, he sold the lease to Betty Sue Roberts, who hired managers that has allowed the property to go into disrepair, much of the lake around the property is now inaccessible, The rental facilities are almost uninhabitable. Three years ago we sold our RV and decided to start staying in the cabins out there. We could not use the hot water. Every time you would start the hot water, the Cabin would fill with the smell of sulfur which anyone knows smells exactly like rotten eggs. During checkout, we reported the issue and they assured us they would fix the problem. Before checking in last year, we asked and where told the issue had been resolved, and that we would not encounter that problem again. We were lied to, and the smell was much worse, and when we asked to switch cabins, they told us the other cabins were under repair and we could not get a refund. Me and my family sadly will never stay here again. This year we ended up staying at Nemo Bridge resorts, I am thankful that we found a new place to stay, it is so much nicer and a lot more clean and had roughly 6 times the amount of lake accessibility with a beach. I also want to mention that we are not the only ones that have watched this resort fall to disrepair, every year since the lease transferred to Ms. Roberts less and less people stay at this resort. I do not recommend anybody to stay here! This place is great if you have an emergency with your boat, but if you're looking for lodging whole on a vacation or just a getaway, you don't want to feel like you're slumming it in an alley somewhere. I have provided a picture of the beach from Nemo Bridge resort, Do not hesitate to give them a call...

Breezy Point has the charm so much of the area has lost. The overall ambience is a mix of 70's, 80's and today, and that's most definitely one of the keys to their success. If you have fond memories of the Lakes past humble and fun persona, they'll be rekindled here for sure. Even so, everything is kept very very clean and comfortable. We had a chance to talk to Teresa, the owner and the Diana from housekeeping. Both of them were very friendly and helpful, and they confirmed what appeared to be the case: the place is neat as a pin under the close observation of Pat, Teresa's husband. The attention to detail is evident. We didn't see any of the bugs or spiderwebs that have always - at least for me - been part of the Lake experience. Every corner of this property is ship-shape and updated as needed, from the Weber grills without a scratch to the very comfortable beds. I'm so glad we found this place and I predict we'll be regulars.

We found Gasconade Hills Resort on the RVLife app. We pulled up at about 5:15 PM and called the phone listed. James showed up within a couple of minutes to check us in. We did not have prior reservations so we were able to drive around to pick a spot we preferred. We set up quickly and were able to enjoy the very clean, nice size pool. The bathrooms at the pool were also very clean. Afterwards, we decided to order pizza and although it was very close to closing time, James took our order and delivered to our camping site. WE LOVED IT HERE! Can't say enough good things about it. Wish we had time to do the river floats. We are already planning to come back and stay for a few days.

Beds are full size cots, which are uncomfortable but is in line with the camping experience. Went on the 6 mile float trip, our first time doing a canoe & taking our dog. Very relaxing river, only had 1 dicey moment with some tree branches. Saw bald eagle nests, & a bald eagle fishing in the river right in front of us. Met great people on our trip, great convos. We had lunch on a rocky beach. The beavers running around the property were funny to watch. Had a great time, very relaxing. Highly recommend, would come back.

Thank you Sir! Lobby area had lots of board games, fun stuff, movies, and more for guests to enjoy. Inside has really nice space to sit and relax. There is a small desk with one computer for guest use. This relaxing lakeside resort has multiple buildings. There are stairs and elevators. Free self-parking available. Amenities include seasonal outdoor pool & children's pool, year-round hot tubs, community BBQ area, fitness center, arcade/game room, basketball court, and children's play area. Our two bedroom unit was quite spacious, very clean, and cozy. It allows a maximum of 6 guests. My eldest daughter and I didn't need the extra space, but we appreciate having our own room which was nice. Living room has a pull down murphy bed if you prefer to sleep in an open space. Kitchen was fully equipped with the essential kitchenware and liquid detergents. Bathroom conveniently had complimentary shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Washer and dryer plus laundry powder detergent were in the unit which is a big plus in my book. Fireplace was present, but wasn't used. Small patio with table and chairs for relaxing and viewing of the beautiful lake. This may be our one and only visit at this resort since we don't live nearby. We added this stay as part of our Historic Route 66 road trip while in MO. I am grateful I got a chance to stay here. One more WM resort checked off my WM resort adventures list. Thank you for the warm and welcoming hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone who loves vacationing at the lake. Enjoy your WM stay!

Being my first time at Moonies, I didn't know where to check in. I wound up going to a couple different doors before I found the bar where I met three people. These were the extremely friendly staff of Moonies, winding down and getting things ready for the influx of people arriving for the weekend. One of them was the owner, Mike, and the other two were his employees who served as the cook, bartender, and maids. The owner Mike could quickly become a close friend of mine, a real friendly sincere guy, and fun to talk with. I would say the owner may need to hire someone a little better at record keeping, this includes recording sales, it would be my guess they're losing a lot of money from mismanagement. Although very nice people, his employees did not major in business, hotel management, or culinary arts. I didn't personally eat there, but my group did and they didn't like what they had, and we're not picky people. There was no tracking of drinks sold at the bar while we were there, on two nights, we had to help the barmaid, or was she the cook, figure out our own tabs. There is no telling how much is lost here, but a quick audit might find a problem. Rooms were okay, just keep in mind, rooms cost $65 a night, and its not the Holiday Inn. Its for people wanting access to the lake, and there are plenty of boat slips to park your boat whiles there. Ceiling fan didn't work in my room, there was no TV, there was WiFi, but unless you talked to the staff, the password wasn't posted in the rooms. There were mismatched dishes, one coffee cup, some silverware, and one headboard on one of the two mismatched queen sized beds. Sheets and blanket appeared to be clean, as was the shower and toilet. Wasn't bad, but could have been better. With proper staff, income would allow for upgrades. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great time Mike.
