It's super big, spacious, dog friendly, with dog parks, with a nice kids playground, football (soccer) areas, flower garden that's open every other Saturday, and they also have a cafe named Olive Room Cafe in the center that's open daily. Lucky for us, St. Anne's Park was nearby and was the perfect place to unwind. Others have already talked about the long history of this park and how vast (266 acres) it is. So I will just say that it's beautiful and worth the visit. I especially liked the Rose garden and I don't feel all girly for saying it. I swear the actual rose garden area was more length and width then a football field. Each bundle of roses were as bright and colorful as if they just blossomed. I couldn't even come close to pronouncing half of their names but it was kind of cool to learn that they had some instead of you know Red, Yellow, so on. Oh and a red squirrel tried to take my hat, watch out for those little thieves!!

I guess my big mistake was taking my son with me when my sole purpose was to have a look around and write a review, we passed the playground with its myriad of swings, slides, monkey bars, spinning discs and stuff I never thought I see outside a torture dungeon, it looked truly terrifying. Gilles (oh he in the push chair) had an entirely different view of how the evening was about to proceed. an awesome battle of wills ensued.... ....later, after we had finished on the swings I took pics of the park, the opening times and the flower beds, all jolly nice. If I was to crib and you know I'm going to, I'd say the play area was not as clean as I'd like, a lot of chewing gum everywhere, but I guess its hard to keep these places as spick and span as picky fathers would like!

For those of you not familiar with dinosaurs or hands it basically means that my hands are feeling very floppy. Holding a pint of Guinness last night took considerable effort and grip revision. To the uneducated eye some may think that I am overtly expressive in a camp theatrical way with my flailing hands. But enough about my hands, what about the wall? €8 to go each time. €5 one time only membership. Plenty of walls of all different intensity levels for you to practise on (bouldering not rock climbing). They have a free drop in class every Monday for beginners. It's not in the sexiest of locations but the inside is very well done, you can get coffee and parents etc can chill out in the seating area and look on. If you are OK with heights and falling from heights give it a go. If you're not you are more than welcome to watch my hands go dinosaur like as I fall from a height. I think that would be very rewarding for those of you that don't like me.

Best thing that gives the edge over other places is access to tennis courts as well as loads of good and free classes. Never seems too busy either so you can always do what you need to! The main thing for me was to find a decent swimming pool in Dublin; finally I came to the Westmanstown to find out a new place, with a great gym and a nice pool, tennis courts, and car park. The place is clean, it has the gym with a 200 metres track, equipment to do weights, basketball, badminton, and many other activities pitch. Swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and so on. This place will be definitely the best of what you could get in Dublin 15 (even with the NAC being in the area). The Sports are not well supported in this country, and it is a pity that all people see is the money aspect of the disciplines. There should be more support from the government to create better athletes and a healthier society. The prices to join the Crunch are the same as anywhere else if you compare here you will get value for your money, you might get cheaper places but you will end up paying more because the place is not clean or the service is bad as well as the facilities you will get won't be the same. Nothing will be perfect all the time, of course something will go wrong someday, like water being cold or a power cut, but every time something happened I was well looked after. A family place for excellence, here kids are aloud and there is activities for them as well, the time is restricted which is ok. I really recommend it if you have children, go there and have a look, the staff will show you around all the facilities. Experience.... 5/5 Horse Temperament... 4.5/5…read moreRoute... 4/5 What a beautiful day in Ireland. The sun was shining the sights were breath taking. The stable managers were very helpful in matching horse to rider and helping with getting on. I was very happy to have the extended ride and the trek was worth it! The route was super muddy because of rain earlier in the night. For about half the trip, we didn't have an exact path and wove through the forest/countryside. The horses were definitely exhausted by the end of our journey, but continued to respond fairly well to requests.

Really cool experience with my kids at the lesson today with breathtaking views during our trek…read moreafter the lesson. Killegar Stables is a magnificent equestrian center. We really enjoyed Sunday. Thank-you to all of the friendly team and dedicated management for making our time so much fun. The draw of tennis courts aside, one of the great things is that it is a great place to meet new people, that is if you ever get off your butt and go (unlike some people I know ... ahem). They host different tournaments and leagues for all levels, and not to worry if you don't have a doubles partner you'll be assigned one the night. The main draw however is that you get drink vouchers for the bar/ lounge and if that's not enough to bring you in they hold different events throughout the year, like parties and quiz nights. Still not convinced? Afraid of your volley shot? Fear not there's 3 accredited coaches on hand to improve your game ... now I can't say you'll be the next Williams sister or Roger Federer, but you'll see definite improvement in your game.

It can get very busy at times, however I have never experienced that people - especially those who come for the first time- were not given the required attention. I have seen various yards and clubs where the long established members acted like they were having a "private function" and where new people don't really felt welcomed. This is absolutely not the case with the Paddocks, staff and all other people are lovely and very welcoming. They have a lot of different horses (maybe 50?), from tiny to very large, so there is a suitable one for everybody. The horses are all very quiet and safe, but forward going enough to enjoy the ride. I also noticed that the stables are very clean and when the horses are not working they spend the day out in the field. It was very important to me to find a yard that treats its horses well and I have to say the Paddocks tick every box in this aspect. Overall I very much recommend them and hope that other people people's experience with them will be just as positive as mine.
