In my opinion, this BUSINESS MUST NOT EXIST AT ALL... I had a disastrous experience with this company - The Paddocks Riding Centre - similar to one of the other reviews here, but much worse.... I see some horror stories in Filtered reviews here, and I am surprised, that Yelp filtered them. The Paddocks Riding Centre sounds scary and even dangerous... The owners do not understand the purpose of doing business (make your customer so happy that he/she would become a walking and talking advertising). Instead of satisfying or even pleasing their customers they cream and shout at their clients and threaten them by making phone calls at 1 AM (YES!!!) in the morning! My experience was as follows: I bought a voucher from Living Social and was trying to book some day to have that riding experience. Nobody was picking up the phone. Tried many many times over the period of 2 months. Was leaving voice mail, nobody ever bothered to ring me back. I knew I was going on holidays few weeks before voucher expires, so wanted to agree with The Paddocks Riding Centre that they would accept me after I return and I would give them the voucher number so they can redeem it and get paid by Living Social. Finally the phone was answered. Niamh told me a few lies: 1.She as if rang me back a few times (I never got a phone call from her or anyone else from that place - but I was badly waiting for it) 2.That Living Social decided to extend the voucher expiry date, but they will need to charge €18 per person extra if I use the service after voucher expiry date (Living Social emailed me, that they have never apply similar policies and when Living Social Questioned The Paddocks Riding Centre, they denied) 3.Niamh also denied that they were already paid by Living Social and had my money for the service. She refused to provide the service without pre-payment and transferred the call onto the owner. The owner of The Paddocks Riding Centre did not even listen to me, she was just shouting at me and finally told me to f*** off and never bother them again. I was shocked!!! I wrote a complaint to Living Social. Living Social spoke to The Paddocks Riding centre and they denied everything; Living Social advised me to contact The Paddocks Riding Centre again to solve the issue. I have emailed them asking to resolve this issue in a friendly manner. At that stage I still thought I would like to use their services... Instead resolution I received a phone call from No. 0872237981 at 1 AM in the morning!!! and a woman on the phone was threatening me (me - I am a customer, who she took the money from and refused to provide the service) and told to never contact them again, otherwise she will sue me to court for harassment... I hope this review will be a time well invested and everyone will think twice before using services of The Paddocks Riding Centre. read more

Very disappointing experience. TO BE AVOIDED! Bought a voucher from Living Social to use for a horse back riding with BBQ wanted to surprise my girlfriend. Was calling for few months as required - 2PM to 6 PM on the phone given to me. No answer. Always voice mail. Left voice mails. Never called back. Went to the riding centre last week. It felt like I am their worst enemy. I had to wait for the girl who is responsible for the voucher bookings for 40 mins. Have to say I am a business person and my time costs. Only when I said I will charge them €150 an hour, the girl finally appeared. All she did was opening a book for bookings that was sitting on the table. Any of 3 staff members could have done that. Instead of chatting to one another and smoking. I was told that on the days when I could do the riding, they had no availability. If I was to use the voucher after it expired, I have to pay €36 extra. For what?I showed the calls log with all the times I rang them and left voicemails. That girl Niamh (me thinks) said she never got any voicemails. Liar!!!!! I refused to pay extra and left. Some elder woman (owner I suppose), told me to never come back here again and told a few course words, that I won't be repeating here. Very disappointing experience with disgusting treatment of their customers. Those people are ignorant, arrogant and with no culture. They have wasted my time and my money! I could go to Living Social to get a refund, but that would only mean more time wasted. Paddocks Riding Centre, choke on my money!!! It's a pity people like them work with wonderful animals called horses. I took this time to register here and compliment some businesses and to warn everyone - be aware of Paddocks Riding Centre. read more

I cannot even believe that there are good reviews on this or that theyre still in business. Coincidence all the good reviews were written around the same day??? I think not! This place is a sad excuse for an equestrian centre. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this place. It was not a once off thing either I have been going for a couple of months all together before I told them to stuff it. The girl Niamh is terrible, she pretends to be nice to your face and she thinks shes good at it. I have over heard the staff bad talking people there so many times I cannot count. The owners are the absolute worst. So rude and have zero respect for any of there clients and scream and excuse you of nonsense. Some of my friends got food poisoning from there so called BBQ and from reading these reviews it seems like a lot of people are made sick too! It should be reported to AIRE or someone who can take action but the only reason why they are still open is because they lie and deny everything bad. The poor horses....I wanted to take them all home with me when I left but unfortuantley could not, so many were under weight and never given a break. There was a horse that the owner was kicking abusively in the belly and hitting them really hard when it shied away from her. Obviously a horse is not going to cooperate with you if you are treating it like that, so unnecessary. Their stables were disgusting! No bed and covered in wee. The only remotely clean stables were in the barn but that was more than likely because customers come in and out all day. Could not recommend this place at all and I will be trying to find a way to report them, it has to stop! read more

would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy! Went for ride out was suppose to be 2 hours was just 1,the horse felt like it was gonna die,almost had to carry the poor thing home!the instructor was too busy on phone shouting n swearing, Then went for bbq,lol health n safety need to visis this place,i was sick for days after eating 1 manky sausage,no burgers just a sausage,tho if there had of been burgers they wud prob of killed me! The staff drank most of the wine,we got a watered down cup not even half full. so with the drunk staff and bad service i asked to meet owner.How this woman works with kids i do not know,i wouldnt let her near my dog.She shouted abuse at me,threatened me and told me she would go to guards if i didnt leave her stables! also that she was gonna sue me,for wat u lunatic! living social sud never of done any business with this place ,they have no idea.shes a nutter and not safe to be around,dont go to the paddocks unless u want poisening and to have ur life threatened!!!!!! read more

I used to go horse riding when I was younger, and when I met up with my cousin, she suggested we go again. We looked around, and just wanted a ride out, not a lesson, and the Paddocks came highly recommended! They lent us helmets and had boots that could be borrowed too, and we went on an escorted ride out up Three Rock Mountain in Dublin. The views of Dublin were amazing, and the scenery was lovely. The horses were all very healthy (and surprisingly fit, I know I couldn't get up that mountain) and happy, there was a great atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly. They have an outdoor area and a horse walker, with horses and ponies, as my cousin's daughter rides up there too. I've recommended it to my more horsey friends, and I'll be returning when I find the time when I'm next in Dublin. read more

I have been going to the Paddocks Riding Centre for 14 years now and so I can honestly say that it's a fantastic place with friendly staff and well looked after horses. As well as lessons and ride-outs (which offer beautiful scenery and a gorgeous view of Dublin Bay), the Paddocks also organise shows, hunts, beach rides and other events for riders of all ages and abilities. They have a horse for everyone, and a highly qualified staff to help take even the most unconfident rider up through the levels. I'm delighted that I chose this riding school, and have brought many of my friends there who agree that it's a thrilling experience. Its unique location, down-to-earth staff, and fun, friendly atmosphere really set it above other riding schools. Highly recommended! read more

The Paddocks is easily the best riding centre I've ever been to, with a lovely atmosphere and very high standards. The teaching staff are incredibly friendly, encouraging and professional. I went back riding a few months ago after a long break, this time with my four year old, and they couldn't have been nicer. My child has got the bug and so do I! There is a fantastic range of ponies and horses who have been exceptionally well schooled and safety is priority number one. I've been on several gorgeous treks in the Dublin mountains and they also do beach rides. I'm learning so much on the lessons and my teacher is excellent, and so supportive. Could not recommend the Paddocks more, for either the casual or serious rider. read more

Myself and my friend bought a Living Social voucher, but we will not get to use it. After 2 months of trying to book the riding with Paddocks Riding Centre we badly failed... 8 phone calls and 4 voice mails left for Paddocks Riding Centre were not returned, and when we tried to book the riding, we were told they do not even want to speak to us. It is rare that someone gets me badly annoyed, but The Paddocks Riding Centre just was very successful. NOT RECOMMENDED. To be AVOIDED. Want a horseback riding - find better place. These people do not know what RESPECT IS! They do not respect their clients. AVOID THEM! read more

I've been riding at the Paddocks since 2017 and to say I've found home is an understatement. Instructors are brilliant and constantly challenging and improving both riders and horses. Facilities are under constant and careful watch to insure only the best is available to its clients. Both horses and ponies are well looked after, in amazing condition and are at the top of their range. I've been to a lot of riding yards and have finally found the one I can be happy in. I have been on a good few treks and lessons at the paddocks riding centre and cannot say enough great things about the riding centre, the staff and the horses, all three are amazing!!! If you are looking for a great adventure with breath taking views of dublin i highly reccomend going on one of there weekend treks. If you are looking to improve your riding then book a private one to one lesson, within in 5 mins your riding will improve and you will gain so much knowledge from the expert instructor. I`ve been to MANY different riding stables in Ireland and Poland and i have to say the paddocks beat all of them, By FAR. they always care about the customer and after a while you will realize that theyre not just a riding stable that you go to , theyre like a family! I`m a regular customer and hope to always be!! They have a huge range of things to do, they`ll always pick a horse that suits you best and they`re just great. I really dont mean to be cheesey but this is one of THE BEST riding schools around! Would REALLY recommend it :D read more

I've been riding since I'm 7 and when I came to Ireland I looked for a yard to get lessons and ride out, when I tried the paddocks I knew it was the place for me, everybody was amazing, loads of events organized such as beach ride, competitions, ride out and pony camp for the kids during holidays. The kids love it up their and bring life to this family run yard. Their knowledge in horses is great and everybody is very friendly, the stable is very clean and they have horses for every level. read more

The Paddocks is an amazing place to ride in Dublin! The staff is very helpful and friendly and the teachers are very experienced! The pony play lessons are very good for children to get so know about ponies and learn how to ride. The horses and ponies are very well looked after and if they are not working the spend the day on the fields. There are a lot of different ways to spend a day at the Paddocks like, lessons, ride out into Dublin mountains, beach rides, ... A must-go horse Lovers! read more

After riding for just one lesson now remember why I love riding with the best coaches and horses around. I now ride every week and just love the ride outs and get togethers. An exceptional Easter holiday pony camp last week. My daughter can't stop thinking about the fun she had at the Paddocks pony camp last week so she had to go back this week. The paddocks is the best place ever. I have been going there for four years now after never sitting on a horse before they have thought me so much about horse riding and taking care of the horse.
