I worked with this company before. My A/C needed some attention and I needed a new thermostat. I asked them for the cost for a digital non programmable thermostat. They wanted $350. Here are the details of my experience. We were without AC so I called Cooling Experts and they sent a technician out. The tech acted like he didn't want to do the job anticipating rain. It did not rain at all. Next, he stood outside for about 1hour stating he had to call his boss and then came back and said his boss stated he could not do the work anticipating rain. Two hours in and still no rain. He was so eager to get the diagnostic fee than fix the problem. After the diagnosis he came back stated my upstairs unit need a coil replacement and down stairs need leak repair and he would not warranty anything because of the condition of the unit. The charge just for the leak repair $1590, wow and upstairs he said that Monday they will call me back for the coil estimate. They never called back and left us stranded with no AC. When I called them after the tech left I mentioned that I needed the estimate for the AC coils and the guy ask why I need that for, and I said because I paid for an diagnosis which includes the full estimate but received partial information. They never returned the call or provided the full estimate. Needless to say, they charged me $197 for a diagnosis and no follow up. I searched for another company "All Year Cooling" and they were so professional, they came out and assessed the problem and provided a real solution. They did not charge me an diagnosis fee at all and they were so professional we bought the downstairs and upstairs new unit which came with a 10 year warranty parts and 5 years labor. I am a realtor and I will never recommend Cooling Experts, never. Let's just say the price for a brand new unit condenser upstairs and compressor downstairs, was not even the amount it would of been for the total repair. Never judge a book by its cover and treat everyone with honesty and respect. This is my recommendation to anyone thinking about using Cooling Experts, don't do it. read more

Excellent employees; very helpful. Prices could have been more reasonable price.

This is one of the more professional heating/cooling companies I've worked with. In South Florida, solid professionalism in the service industry can be lacking. This HVAC company is very service oriented. I called Cooling Experts because my Bosch water source heat pump (air conditioner for a condominium unit) was not cooling properly. The person taking the call answered in a courteous manner, and documented the details I provided her. She then stated that a technician would be able to assist me within the next few hours, which was great considering I was calling in the afternoon, and in the middle of summer they are surely fairly busy. Less than 30 minutes later, another Cooling Experts representative called me back, and asked if I was available, as a tech was in the area. The company sent me a text with the tech's name and phone number, and he arrived shortly thereafter. The technician was able to quickly diagnose the problem, and let me know the necessary corrective actions they would use to remedy it.
