They show up when they say they will, (if they are running even just a little behind, they let you know). That's rare these days when some repair people can't even be bothered to return phone calls or show up to give you an estimate. We had a large, very heavy old plaster ceiling fall down (with a boom!), and they removed it, put up new drywall and ceiling fixtures, and painted it in no time flat. We decided to have another done as well, and both ceilings look absolutely beautiful. They also had to patch a few places in the walls and you can't even tell. Very reasonable estimates, too! I'd give The Dry Wall Guys 10 stars if I could.

Beware of The Nashville Handyman - Unlicensed and Costly Mistakes…read moreI hired The Nashville Handyman, owned by Chad Weideman, expecting professional service, but instead, I ended up with severe property damage and thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs. His crew used a mechanical trenching machine that broke my sewer line, and rather than informing me, they covered it up with bricks, gravel, and dirt, leading to major plumbing failures over time. Upon further investigation, I discovered that The Nashville Handyman is not licensed to perform this type of work, which is illegal in Tennessee under T.C.A. § 62-6-503. The law states that unlicensed contractors may be held liable for treble damages--triple the actual repair costs. Even after being presented with undeniable evidence, they refused to fully take responsibility for the damages they caused. If you care about your home and finances, avoid this company. Always hire a licensed and reputable contractor instead.

No matter what problem we…read moreran into (multiple layers of wallpaper, knowing to make the walls smooth after you take off the wallpaper because of the glue, and special needs for VOC paint, etc) they came up with solutions and did an amazing job. This was very important since they were painting my entire house. It's one thing to get a company that has experience painting and doing a good job which is what we all look for, but with DS Painting you get far above with the owner, Victoria's, eye for design. Her goal isn't just to paint, it is to make sure that the end result looks better than expected. I really appreciated her input as my eye for design is zero. If you are looking for a high-quality painter who does things the right way, I highly recommend DS Painting.
