He's not only learned and continued to obey his commands but as a whole he's become a more obedient and receptive dog. I did appreciate how you did not let us get too optimistic during the training. Boy did he deliver tho! We took to heart continuing the training once he was done and it's worked great. Only two small recommendations, one is to have written commands on maybe a 3/5 laminated card and two, how bout a graduation certificate! Awesome job Gustavo and team!

We finally buckled down and called to set up a consultation. To be honest- before going in, we were skeptical thinking they would try to sell us a bunch of things, unnecessary or not applicable classes in order just to make money...but it was nothing like this! Tim was A-MAZING! Cannot say enough great things about this trainer! He is a straight shooter and tells it like it is, and I like that. We are coming there to get our dog under control not have a tea party....so this is wonderful that he is knowledgeable and sees exactly what needs to be done. He told us the types of collars and leashes to buy for our pups, and what type of classes we would benefit most from! I even admitted in the consultation that "I need some training" and Tim agreed that most owners do. I liked this! So, we have our first class this upcoming Friday, ordered the leashes and collars through Chewy, and we are good to go! Excited, hopeful, and SOOOO grateful for this facility and Tim!

I loved Mountain Paws Dog Training from day 1…read more Classes are so much fun and Trudi gives valuable feedback and tips throughout. She is skilled, kind, positive, and her classes are affordable. A perfect fit for me! The training techniques definitely work. There are things I never thought my dog would do but right before my very eyes she does them (usually...lol). When we do struggle with something, Trudi has some trick up her sleeve to help us regain focus. We are almost ready to graduate and look forward to the next level of training.

The owner, Meldona, is rude to customers and you'll learn quickly that she does not know how to run…read morea business.  Your dog is required to take 3 training courses, each at $125(?) and five classes long (at one class per week) with ~6 other dogs, before you're allowed to "join" and come use the facilities when you want.  Even then, she has strict rules on what equipment you can and can't use, how things are maintained (understandable) and where things belong (also understandable).  She will use any excuse to make you start a course over and charge you for it.  If your dog gets slightly barky or does not appear to get along with the other dogs, she feels it's her right to correct your dog for you (usually a spray bottle... in our case, that scares the heck out of our dog and completely shuts him down).  Our dog is not a breed she is not familiar with.  He is extremely well trained and has multiple obedience (and other) certifications.  He was also extremely good at every agility exercise.  Our dog does as he's told but we always felt like Meldona either did not like him or us.  Maybe it was Meldona's rough attitude or maybe she felt threatened by our dog's abilities.  Regardless, we never felt welcomed.   When COVID-19 hit and Meldona had to stop classes, we were 2 classes into our third 5-class course.  She did not offer a refund, did not reschedule classes, and did not respond to our inquiries when new classes did start up.  My advice:  find a place where the owners/trainers care and are respectful to their customers.

At two years old he developed severe hip dysplasia and I ended up having to euthanize him at two years and 11 months old because he had bone cancer. Hugh refused to honor his health guarantee on my dog and five years later, still refuses to talk to me about it and just hangs up on me when I call him and ignores my emails. He insists I am making all of these stories up, but I have all the paperwork and pictures to prove him wrong, along with my dog's remains in a box. I have owned many German Shepherds and one of the biggest problems they can develop is hip dysplasia, so I did not worry whether Tristen's diagnosis would fall under their lifetime health guarantee, because that is a given with any reputable German Shepherd breeder. My previous experience has been a five year health guarantee, covering hip dysplasia, with at least three breeders I have purchased a puppy from in the past. At this point, both Hugh and Angela told me Tristen did not have hip dysplasia and his diagnosis was incorrect. Long story short, Hugh does not honor his guarantee on the health of his ouppies or anything else for that matter. He got lucky and had a good stud that produced beautiful puppies and made a fortune. I believe he's in the Rye, Colorado area now, doing the same thing. BEWARE OF THIS BREEDER!!

My ex-husband is holding him in this picture. I purchased my puppy from this breeder because of their "lifetime" guarantee" which they used to claim in 2013. Latest Update: 11/19/16. My dog has now been dead for 2 1/2 weeks. When I took him to the vet to have him examined for hip replacement surgery, the vet noticed his back left foot was swollen. After several tests, it was confirmed he had osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He never had a chance to have his hips fixed. I was forced to put him down approximately 3 1/2 weeks after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma because he was in so much pain. When I first wrote my review, he was 2 1/2 years old and was diagnosed with hip dysphasia. I informed them a couple of days ago and they said they'd get back to me. Not only did they not get back to me, but they have blocked me from contacting them any further. Off to court we go. Stay away from this breeder if you expect them to honor their guarantee. THEY WON'T. The cost to have his hips replaced will be approximately $5,000. Buyer beware!!! Update: 10/16/16: My dog has now been diagnosed with bone cancer and has a couple of weeks to months to live. I called Hugh with this new information and begged for a replacement puppy. My dog is not even 3 years old. Hugh hung up on me twice and then stopped answering so I could leave a message. He nor Angela called me back of course. I'm now out over $4,000 in vet bills and I cannot save my dog, no matter what I spend on him. How can you two live with yourselves? You also have the nerve to have a Go Fund Me page for Angela Gaskell (which you finally closed after receiving over $2,000 more than you said you needed) for your kidney, but meanwhile rip me off, disabled from a brain tumor, while I watched my service dog die.
