I have to give a huge shout out to Aliss at Cool Heads Salon in Addison. My hair isn't easy, and I haven't had a great time finding someone to really give me a good haircut. Well, my search is over. The only good thing about our experience was talking to the stylist at the front desk tonight. She was wonderful and knowledgeable. The stylist we got in the second chair on the right didn't introduce herself to my son at all or speak to him at all. I was told they specialized in mixed hair but the stylist got frustrated half way through and didn't even brush it out completely, she left him completely lopsided with hair everywhere. I will never come here again. The haircut was okay - 6.5/10 but what made me upset was the entire experience from the start. The barber was so arrogant in his abilities and wanted to nickel and dime me for everything. A $34 haircut became $46 because I wanted a fade and a hairline. Then at the end when I wanted to pay, the Barber told me I have to pay 20% gratuity for a haircut I didn't like much. I refused because I didn't like the haircut much. He was so rude and so arrogant and kept telling me that this is a 5-star place etc. My favorite barbershop charges fair prices and doesn't have all this attitude. I truly regret trying out this place and I will make sure all my friends and family avoid this place. That was truly the worst barbershop experience in my entire life. read more

all I wanted was it to be trimmed a little, got that. but my hair was cut straight across my forehead and I continuously asked him not to make it straight, there is no hair covering my forehead anymore. completely forgot to straighten the back of my hair and didn't get around my ears after I asked him to. my sideburns weren't even touched. how do you hire this guy. Don't be duped by the 5 star reviews. Had an appointment and waited over 20 minutes with no end in sight. The barber didn't bother to come over and apologize. The company considers you late for your appointment if you are 1 minute late but it's a one way street. They also offer a 20% discount if you leave a positive review, so be wary. read more

John always gets my hair right. Usually with other places/people they cut me too short or mess my hair up. This is the best place in addison to get a haircut. After a bad cut by my last barber, I decided to try someplace new. I Googled "barbers near me" saw that Cool Heads had really good reviews so figured I'd try them out. The reviews were correct! Aliss was my stylist. I loved that she took the time to figure out what would look good for me. My hair is thinning on the crown so haircuts can be really hit and miss. Now usually barbers just take what you say and don't offer input. Aliss made some suggestions and I ended up getting one of the best haircuts I've had. The inside is spacious is welcoming, the seats are comfortable, and they use hot towels!!! Go visit them. You won't regret it! read more

I have tried to give this barber every opportunity to improve their service and have gone back three times. No more! This has to be one of the worst run businesses in the area or possibly state. From appointments that are booked at wrong locations to excessive wait times and Junior barbers training and practicing on your hair. It is not worth the cost frustration or time wasted, I would highly recommend finding anywhere else read more

I called on a random Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 asking for a price for a haircut, Marisol answered my question, provided different options over the phone and made me feel comfortable. I hung up the phone not knowing if I would go in but I'm glad I did! I called Cool Heads Salon back and spoke to Marisol and she told me she could get me in right away! Once I arrived she called me by name, sat me down and made me feel comfortable. We talked like we knew each other for a while. She asked me my opinions about what I liked and gave me great suggestions. We were joking around, talking about family and work like it was nothing. She gave me a wonderful haircut that my wife complimented more than any haircuts in recent years. It was a 10/10 experience and I'll be back! read more

Its a nice place. Marisol helped me make some decisions on what i wanted and did a great job of making me comfortable and gave me a great hair cut. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was I was kind of shocked to have such a high bill at the end, not that it wasn't worth it. But they may want to do a better job of explaining cost for the services provided. read more
