We had an excellent experience at Carshop. A friend of ours knew we were looking to sell our…read morevehicle and he said they'd give us the best price with no hassle so we had to check it out. We showed up on a Saturday before a blizzard and everyone was busy but we ended up working with Dean Miller who was fantastic. He made the process quick and easy and got right to the point. He was honest and didn't waste our time, which we appreciated. If you want to sell your vehicle and get the maximum payout-check out Carshop and ask for Dean!

If I could give zero stars, I would. CarShop Mt. Holly is an absolute joke of a dealership that…read morescams people into buying unreliable junk cars, and I unfortunately fell victim to their shady business practices. I bought a 2009 Honda Accord LXP from them less than a year ago, and it has turned out to be a complete money pit. First of all, when I picked up the car, it was disgusting--full of pet hair, filth, and who knows what else. I had to clean it myself just to make it somewhat usable. That should've been my first red flag, but I figured I could deal with it. What I didn't expect was that the real nightmare was just beginning. Shortly after purchase, I noticed the car was burning oil like crazy. I now have to add half a quart of oil every 500 miles--that is not normal, and they clearly sold me a car with major mechanical issues. This is beyond unacceptable for a vehicle they assured me was in "good condition." Of course, when I reached out to them about this issue, they refused to do anything. They wouldn't honor any type of warranty, coverage, or even basic decency. They took my money and left me with a car that is quite literally burning itself up. This was my first car, a gift from my parents. This dealership is dishonest, untrustworthy, and only cares about making a quick buck off unsuspecting buyers. They do not stand behind their cars, and once you drive off the lot, you're on your own--no matter how badly they screwed you over. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from CarShop Mt. Holly unless you want to waste thousands on a lemon. I'll be warning everyone I know about this place, and if you're reading this, take my advice: Go somewhere else.

Purchased this car august of 2024. within 2 weeks my check engine light and vsc control light were…read moreon. I called and spoke to the kind lady who runs that location and was told that they would take care of it. The invoice for that was around $2,200 for how much was paid to Semraj to fix this problem. I paid $60 out of pocket. I dropped my car off at Semraj and the problem was "fixed". the next day i called Raj about the check engine light and the VSC control light coming on and he told me that because it is an old car that it would take a couple weeks for the work that was done to be registered in the system. I should have known that was bullshit, but this is my first car. i bought a 2006 Toyota Avalon under 95,000 miles to uber eats. the young man who sold me the car at route 38 auto knew what i was buying it for and why i needed it. it was agreed upon that this car would be the best fit. I made a cash offer for $6k and was told no so i did $7k and I can tell you my problem had really just begun. i brought my car back to Semraj about 5 times for this same problem (and some others like a flat tire, oil change, inspection sticker information) and each time received my car back with lights off & was told that it should be fixed right now. Any time i dropped my car off to Semraj it was early in the morning and i wouldn't get it until right before closing. Over the summer time when I tried to ask for the invoice for the work that had been done; I was told that the computer that had originally had all the documents from that time was damaged and I was unable to receive the papers and was told to come back with a lawyer. I've spent money at Semraj, GoodYear, Thielman's(the only reasonable mechanic), Midas, and local mechanics to just be ripped off because at the end of the day I WAS SOLD A LEMON!! I spent $9,005.32 on a car that was clearly not ready to be driven and was too old. The Carfax didn't even say anything was wrong with this car at purchase. Since August of 2024 i have spent over the price purchased of my car just to keep this car afloat. Now with new health conditions arising over these last couple months, I need a vehicle to take me to my doctors appointments and unfortunately November 25th my check engine light started to blink and I don't feel safe trying to go 8 minutes down the road to my doctors. What can be done?

Jump forward to today and I still think these guys,Craig especially, are wonderful. I purchased a 2003 Hyundai Sante Fe from them yesterday and he was beyond helpful. We were told by the owner that it was, we made him aware we would be able to come Friday to buy the car. He stated that he was up at 7 am and to give him a call anytime after that to verify again. My husband called at 8:11 am on 12/9/22 to verify again that the car was still available. He told George, the owner, his name and that we were driving 3.5 hours to buy this car therefore we needed to be sure it was still there and we were going to buy it outright as we didn't want to waist our time. George said it was no problem, he would see us then (he had said around 12:30). We pull up and are greeted by a man who is already with another gentleman starting a transaction. We tell him the car we are there for he tells us it is open and to go check it out. We come back inside and sit down waiting to be able to do a test drive. The gentlemen goes and puts temp plates on the car, came back in, said something unintelligible to us and sat to finish with the gentleman he was helping. We sat for about 10-15 minutes while we waited for our turn to test drive and I saw the salesperson lift up a piece of paper and low and behold I saw the car that we were supposed to be buying. Come to find out that the car we were supposed to be buying was being sold right under us. We got up and told the salesperson that we had driven 3.5 hours to buy this car, that we had verified with the owner that we were buying the car. That if they were going to sell the car, they should have given us a call and made us aware instead of wasting 7 total hours and gas. He told us we could have put a deposit down to which we replied that we were not offered that and that we had spoken about buying this car outright to George already. My husband called George and told him it was extremely messed up that we had driven so far for this car for this situation to happen. George mumbled back talk about how it's not his fault and he's sorry for our drive but sorry does not make up for our waisted time and money. George stated that he thought the gentleman who had come in was us, yet he had our name, which clearly didn't match the guy who was buying the car. Excuses were made, time was wasted, common courtesy would have gone a very long way in this situation.

Not good car buying experience at route 130 motors. No customer service and owner was rude.read more
